Genre: Primordial, BL, Slice of Life, Beastman World
Rating: ★★★☆☆
Status: Completed
Mood: Fluffy, possessive, baby-filled love nest

Initial Thoughts
Right after finishing After Being Stranded in the Wilderness, I Became the Bride of the Giant Tribe, I was still in the mood for tribal-building, back-to-nature, and survival romance. So, I jumped straight into this one—because, hey, big tiger turns into hot beastman and drags MC home to raise cubs? That’s a hook.
But it turned out… not quite what I expected.
The Premise
Wu Xiaoyin is your average modern college grad, until he passes out during a celebration and wakes up face-to-fur with a giant, majestic tiger. Said tiger promptly shifts into human form and swoops Wu Xiaoyin away to his den… with some very strong intentions about cubs.
Yeah, it’s one of those stories.
What This Novel Is About
- ML and MC’s intense, possessive romance
- Raising babies together (lots of fluff!)
- Protective Alpha energy and doting affection
- Slice-of-life bonding between beastman and “female” (MC)
It’s not that there’s no tribal or survival content—there is some planting, harvesting, and simple living. But that’s not the focus. The focus is 100% on the love story and the family life that blooms around it.
What Didn’t Work for Me (But Might for You)
Honestly? I came looking for tribe-building, learning to survive in the wild, inventing soap and bricks and storage sheds, etc. But this one leaned heavily toward domestic fluff and romantic drama.
If you love:
- Possessive MLs who dote on their partners
- Cuteness overload with kids
- Emotional moments in relationships and parenting
Then this is for you. But for me, it was just okay. I didn’t dislike it—but I didn’t fall in love either.
And about Xiao Kai… yeah. I couldn’t connect with him. He gave off strong white lotus energy—the type who always stumbles into trouble and then everyone around has to fix it. I found that frustrating.
The Saving Grace: THE KIDS
I may not have loved the story focus, but the babies were adorable. Funny, sweet, lovable little cubs full of personality. They totally made up for the places where the plot didn’t land for me. If you’re here for wholesome parenting fluff and soft family bonds, you’ll definitely enjoy those parts.
Comparison Time
I’ve also been translating another novel in this genre:
➡️ Reborn into a Primitive Society to Raise Babies
That one sits right in between the two above. It has survival and tribe-building elements like Bride of the Giant Tribe, but also fluffy parenting and romance like this one. If you’re looking for balance between plot and fluff, I recommend giving it a try.
Final Verdict
If you want drama-free slice-of-life, soft baby-rearing moments, and an ML who puts his MC on a pedestal from day one, you’ll probably love this. But if you’re after survival mechanics, complex world-building, or tribe dynamics—this one might feel a little too sweet and slow.
Will I reread? Probably not.
Would I recommend? If you want fluff and romance over action or development, yes.
Favorite thing? The kids, hands down.
