About WTNovels

WTNovels is a family-run web novel platform founded in 2024. We translate and publish stories readers actually want finished—built by a reader who was tired of abandoned translations and painful machine-translation workflows.

If you want the short version: we translate novels people genuinely want to read, and we care that the words flow naturally when they reach you.

What we are

A home for stories worth finishing

Where web novel fans come for translations they can enjoy—without abandoned updates, unreadable machine translation, or turning every chapter into a DIY project.

What we’re not

Not every novel ever written

We’re a small family-run site focused on stories that deserve to be finished. If we wouldn’t happily read a chapter ourselves, it probably doesn’t belong here.

Who’s behind it

Readers who became builders

Started by one person with a laptop and a ridiculous idea. Now a small family business still obsessed with the next chapter.

The origin story

Hi. I’m the person who accidentally turned a reading addiction into a family business.

No, seriously.

WTNovels exists because I got tired of suffering.

Back in 2024, I was just another web novel addict spending way too much time on Novel Updates looking for my next obsession.

You know how it goes.

You find an amazing novel.

You binge 200 chapters.

You fall in love with the characters.

Then…

Last updated: 8 months ago.

Congratulations. Your emotional support novel has been abandoned.

Naturally, I tried Machine Translation.

That lasted about five minutes.

Then I tried translating chapters with ChatGPT.

Better… but still painful. Copy. Paste. Prompt. Wait. Fix formatting. Repeat. Every. Single. Chapter.

Reading wasn’t relaxing anymore—it had become a part-time job.

So one day I thought:

“I’m in IT. Why don’t I just build my own website that translates novels for me?”

That was honestly the entire business plan.

There wasn’t one.

Just me wanting to read novels without wanting to throw my laptop out the window.

And that’s how WTNovels was born.

The early days

One reader. One laptop. One slightly ridiculous idea.

For the first six months…

It was just me.

  • I built the website.
  • I built the translation pipeline.
  • I managed the servers.
  • I fixed bugs.
  • I optimized performance.
  • I uploaded novels.
  • I proofread chapters.
  • I handled support.
  • I broke things.
  • I fixed the things I broke.

Then I repeated all of that the next day.

Fortunately, I wasn’t completely clueless. I’ve spent over 10 years working in the IT industry, including 4+ years as a Project Manager, so building systems, managing projects, and solving problems is what I do every day.

The difference was… instead of enterprise software, I was managing thousands of novel chapters, translation workflows, databases, servers, and enough caffeine to qualify as essential infrastructure.

Thankfully… everything somehow worked.

Honestly, I’m still surprised.

Today

WTNovels became a family business

As WTNovels kept growing, I realized there are only so many hours in a day.

One person can only drink so much coffee.

So I did what every sensible person would do.

I recruited my family.

Today WTNovels is still a small family-run project.

  • Some family members help prepare translated chapters.
  • Some organize documents.
  • Some help with formatting.
  • Some keep our social media alive.

Everyone contributes in their own way.

And me?

Ironically… I finally get to do exactly what I wanted from the very beginning.

Read novels.

That’s literally my job now. I read every chapter. I proofread every release. I make sure the translation flows naturally before it reaches you.

It’s honestly the best promotion I’ve ever received.

Why we exist

Stories that deserve better

You’ll notice something about this website.

We’re not trying to upload every novel ever written.

We’re trying to translate stories that people genuinely want to read.

Stories that deserve to be finished.

Stories that deserve translations people can actually enjoy.

Every chapter we publish is something I’d happily read myself.

If I wouldn’t enjoy reading it… it probably doesn’t belong here.

Simple as that.

Why support helps

Keep the chapters coming

Running WTNovels isn’t free.

Servers cost money. Translation infrastructure costs money. Domains cost money. Backups cost money. Coffee definitely costs money.

And because WTNovels has become a family business, I also want to make sure the people helping me are paid fairly for their time.

For a long time, everything was funded almost entirely from my full-time IT job. But the website has grown far beyond what one salary can comfortably support.

That’s why my goal is to make WTNovels financially sustainable—not to become a giant company, but simply to keep translating great novels, improve the website, build new features, and continue doing this for many years to come.

When readers unlock chapters or buy PDF and EPUB editions, that support goes straight back into the work. If WTNovels can support itself, everyone wins. You get better translations. We get to keep making them.

How you can help

How readers support WTNovels

The good news? A lot of support doesn’t cost anything. And when you’re ready to go further, unlocking chapters and buying editions help keep translations moving.

Every chapter read matters. Every comment motivates us. Every review helps another reader discover an amazing story.

Free ways that still mean a lot

  • Reading on WTNovels instead of random repost websites
  • Following your favorite novels
  • Leaving ratings and reviews
  • Commenting on chapters
  • Sharing WTNovels with fellow novel addicts
  • Following us on social media

Ways that directly fund the work

  • Unlock chapters with wallet points when you want to keep reading ahead—support that goes back into translations and servers
  • Purchase PDF & EPUB editions when they’re available, so you can keep your favorites offline while helping the site stay sustainable
  • Support us on Ko-fi if you’d like to tip toward translation and server costs

Even a simple “Thanks for the chapter.” can completely make someone’s day. And if you unlock a chapter or grab an ebook? That helps us keep the next one coming.

Why did WTNovels start?
