After-Being-Stranded-in-the-Wilderness-I-Became-the-Bride-of-the-Giant-Tribe

Initial Thoughts

I love primordial novels. Like, truly. That genre where someone gets thrown into a harsh world and slowly builds a tribe, a home, a future—it scratches a specific itch. This is only the 4th BL I’ve found with this premise, and I’m telling you, it was worth every second.

What sets this one apart?
It’s not just a man-versus-nature survival story—it’s about warmth. Growth. Companionship. And how a “contract marriage” built on necessity gently, quietly, turns into love.

The Plot, In Brief

Yu Bai, our MC, wakes up in a dangerous prehistoric world, already having struggled for six months—this isn’t one of those stories that starts with the actual transmigration. He’s already sick (literally—bone cancer), starving, and doing everything to survive.

Then he saves a gravely injured giant during a storm.

This giant, Huo Duo’er, turns out to be more than a walking tank. He’s loyal, kind, quietly sharp, and healing in more ways than one.

They bond—not emotionally at first, but legally, for land rights. A deal with three rules. You know the drill:

  1. Share everything.
  2. No physical contact.
  3. Free to leave if either falls in love elsewhere.

Yeah. You know how that’s going to go.

But the way it goes? That’s the magic.

What I Loved

  • The time skip at the beginning. No “what is this strange world” confusion. Yu Bai is already surviving, and he’s realistic about his limits.
  • MC came with his body, not soul only. A rare twist—his modern body’s illness becomes part of the plot. And yet, he’s strong, determined, and doesn’t wallow.
  • Their relationship growth. It’s slow-burn, believable, and filled with quiet warmth. What starts with practicality blooms into something tender.
  • No gold fingers. Yu Bai didn’t arrive with a cheat system or omniscient powers. He just knows some things and mentions them. The tribe learns and evolves naturally.
  • Community-building. I adore stories where a small fire becomes a village. And later, a city.
  • The kid! Oh my god, the kid in the later chapters? Adorable. Extra chapters are pure joy.

Reader Warning

This novel is set in a raw, survivalist world. Don’t expect delicate modesty or overly polished courtship. Life is hard. Living another day is a blessing. So yes—there’s suggestive content, not explicit, but earthy and natural to the setting. If that’s not your cup of tea, tread carefully. But if you’re like me and enjoy stories of people building something real from the dirt up? You’ll love this.

Final Verdict

Absolutely loved it. The romance was satisfying, the survival aspects were well-done, and the world-building (without cheats!) kept it grounded. This is a great story for anyone who enjoys tribal building, BL, and love that grows after the storm—quietly, steadily, and deeply.

Will I reread it? YES.
Do I recommend it? 1000%
Extras? The final bonus chapters are chef’s kiss. Sweetness with a satisfying bow.
