The servant acknowledged the order and hurried downstairs to find Tang Wan.

Tang Wan had no idea she had been targeted—until the servant stood before her, looking down at her arrogantly.

“Young lady, my master says the wind below is strong and the crowd is rough. He cannot bear to see you suffer, so he has prepared fine wine and delicacies on the third deck. He invites you to come up and share a drink—he wishes to make your acquaintance.”

As he spoke, the servant glanced up toward Gu Chengwen.

Tang Wan looked at the servant suspiciously, then followed his gaze upward.

Seeing this, Gu Chengwen revealed what he thought was a charming and elegant smile.

“…Where did this idiot come from?”

Tang Wan quickly withdrew her gaze and pointed at her handsome husband beside her. “Are you blind?”

The servant frowned. “What do you mean?”

“Can’t you see my married hairstyle? Can’t you see my husband sitting right here?” Tang Wan continued, ignoring the servant’s darkening face. “My husband is right here, and you’re asking me to go meet some random man? Can’t you act like a decent human being?”

Ling Yu smiled faintly at this moment. “If he’s not human, how can he act like one?”

“Good point.” Tang Wan nodded, then said to the servant, “Go back to wherever you came from. If your master is in heat, tell him to find a female cat—don’t come barking at a taken woman!”
