TFWYH – Chapter 18 Entering the Mountains Again

Transmigrated as the Villainous Fat Wife of a Yandere Husband4 min read18 of 890

Back then, she didn’t care. She was a combat survival robot, not a housekeeping robot—kitchen work was never supposed to be her job.

But now… she genuinely wanted to help!

She had the original Tang Wan’s memories and followed them step by step, but the kitchen still had to blow up.

Damn it!

Tang Wan cursed inwardly, rubbed her nose, and said, “Um… I’ll clean it up right away.”

As she spoke and tried to walk back into the kitchen, the mother and daughter suddenly snapped out of it and shouted in unison, “Don’t come in!”

Tang Wan froze mid-step, looking completely innocent.

The two also realized their tone might’ve been too harsh. Jiang shi took a deep breath, trying to calm down—only to accidentally inhale a lungful of smoke and immediately start coughing!

“Sister-in-law, go clean yourself up and take Chen’er out to play for a while. Leave this to us!” Ling Yue said with a forced smile.

Tang Wan pouted. Fine, play it is.

You don’t want me to help? I wasn’t dying to, anyway!

She turned and left.

Now that the kitchen was blown up, she couldn’t even boil water to wash up. She could only wipe herself down quickly and then went back to her room to change.

With all the ruckus outside, how could Ling Yu not hear?

When he saw Tang Wan walk in covered in soot, clearly sulking, the beautiful man didn’t hold back and burst out laughing.

Tang Wan glared at him, then stormed out after changing her clothes.

Just you wait, Mr. Prettyface—one day I’ll have you in my bed!

Back in the kitchen, the mother and daughter were still cleaning up. There was no hope of breakfast now.

Ling Chen’s little face drooped, on the verge of tears. Right on cue, his stomach let out a loud growl.

Tang Wan felt a little guilty. She was supposed to go to town today, but now her little brother-in-law was hungry.

She hesitated, then offered, “Want to go into the mountains? I’ll hunt a rabbit for you?”

Ling Chen’s eyes lit up, and he nodded enthusiastically.

“Let’s go then!” Tang Wan grabbed a sickle and took little Ling Chen along.

The mother and daughter duo didn’t even notice—they were still struggling in the kitchen.

So, the sister-in-law and little brother headed into the mountains. At the foot of the mountain, they ran into Ling Sheng, who looked completely exhausted.

He had two sandbags tied to his ankles, and he lay spread-eagle on the ground, panting like a dog. He looked like he’d just been dragged out of water.

Tang Wan blinked—she hadn’t expected him to actually follow through on everything she’d told him.

Ling Sheng spotted her too and immediately sat up. “Wan-niang, I did exactly what you said! You have to teach me in ten months, okay?”

“Sure,” Tang Wan replied. As long as you can keep this up, I’ll teach you.

Ling Sheng beamed, clearly thrilled. “You’re going up the mountain? Perfect! I need to gather firewood—I’ll come with you guys!”

“Mm.” Tang Wan gave a light response and kept walking with Ling Chen.

Ling Sheng got up and followed behind them.

Two became three.

On the way, they passed a few other villagers also heading into the mountains to hunt. Ling Sheng greeted them warmly.

The villagers responded with smiles, but they looked at the trio—well, mostly at Tang Wan—like they were seeing something rare.

Because they still remembered the last time Tang Wan went into the mountains—she came back carrying a wild boar! Would she get something big again this time?

With that in mind, a few of the hunters exchanged glances and decided to follow her, hoping to pick up some leftovers.

But they gave up soon after.

Because Tang Wan just kept going deeper and deeper into the mountain, showing no sign of stopping.

The deep mountains were dangerous. There were wolves—and rumor had it, even tigers.

Thinking of that, the villagers began to hesitate.

Sure, picking up a good kill would be great, but losing your life over it? Totally not worth it.
