TFWYH – Chapter 17 The Kitchen Was Exploded

Transmigrated as the Villainous Fat Wife of a Yandere Husband4 min read17 of 890

Tang Wan snapped out of her thoughts, hugged the jar of doubanjiang (chili bean paste), and walked into the kitchen. She asked Ling Yue to slice up some meat and stir-fry it with a spoonful of the paste.

Ling Yue did as told. The moment the paste hit the hot pan, an irresistible aroma filled the air. Ling Yue’s eyes lit up. “Sister-in-law, that smells amazing!”

“It’d be even better with some vegetables!”

Ling Yue looked around the kitchen but only found potatoes. “Will this do?”

“Sure!” Tang Wan gave instructions the whole time without lifting a finger herself, leaving Ling Yue speechless.

After spending more time with Tang Wan, Ling Yue had become a bit bolder and couldn’t help complaining, “Sister-in-law, you know how to cook, don’t you? Why aren’t you helping?”

Tang Wan glanced at her meaningfully. “You sure about that?”

Because when I start cooking, even I get scared!

“Of course! I’ve never had your cooking before. I’ll go wash the potatoes—you watch the pot for me!” Ling Yue said, shoving the spatula into Tang Wan’s hands before grabbing some potatoes and running out.

Tang Wan: “…”

She stared at the spatula in her hand and the pan in front of her, looking torn.

Maybe… give it a try?

Who knows, maybe it’ll work!

Tang Wan raised the spatula. If someone had seen her at that moment, they’d think she was holding a sword and striking a heroic pose…

BOOM!

Outside, while washing potatoes, Ling Yue suddenly heard a loud explosion from the kitchen. The ground even trembled slightly.

Jiang shi and Ling Chen, who were just getting up, were startled and quickly rushed out.

Jiang shi was in such a hurry that she didn’t even tie the sash of her outer robe.

“What happened?” she asked anxiously.

Ling Yue, holding the potatoes, shook her head in confusion and stared wide-eyed toward the kitchen.

Jiang shi and Ling Chen followed her gaze—and gasped.

Thick black smoke was pouring from the kitchen. The next second, a chubby figure emerged, covered in soot from head to toe, holding half of a broken spatula in her hand.

All three rubbed their eyes to make sure they weren’t seeing things.

Holy—was that Tang Wan?!

“Wan-niang, you… what happened to you?” Jiang shi stuttered.

Tang Wan pursed her lips, looked down at the broken spatula in her hand, her round cheeks pulled tight with frustration.

Ling Yue snapped out of it first, dropped the potatoes, and ran into the kitchen.

When she saw the scene inside, her mouth fell wide open.

The pan had exploded. The kitchen was a total mess, blackened all over—like a disaster had swept through.

Jiang shi rushed in after her, and upon seeing the war zone, she nearly blacked out. “W-what… what happened in here?”

Ling Yue looked like her soul had left her body, her face blank. “I just asked sister-in-law to watch the pan… and then this happened.”

Jiang shi: !!
Jiang shi: ……

“I messed up,” Tang Wan’s voice came softly from behind them.

The mother and daughter turned around to look at her, their eye muscles twitching madly.

This… this is truly a once-in-a-lifetime sight!

How did you even manage to destroy a kitchen just by stir-frying?

With skills like that, you’d be perfect for the battlefield—instant destruction of enemy forces!

Letting you live as a village housewife is such a waste of talent.

Now the two finally understood why Tang Wan had never stepped foot in the kitchen since marrying into the family.

It wasn’t that she didn’t want to help—her not helping was actually the biggest help of all.

Fortunately, Tang Wan had no idea what they were thinking, or she would’ve been even more frustrated.

The original Tang Wan could cook—but she couldn’t.

She seemed to be cursed when it came to kitchens, never able to control her strength.

Even back when she was a robot, it was the same.

She’d blown up Dr. X’s kitchen countless times—it was full of holes.

In the end, Dr. X had enough and installed an electronic lock on the kitchen door, along with a sign:

“No dogs or 0527 allowed inside!”
