TVSFPAG -Chapter 30 Keeping a Tight Watch on Chu Jinhan

Transmigrated as the Vicious Supporting Female Who Pretended to Be the Amnesiac Tycoon’s Girlfriend 7 min read 30 of 200 178

Chu Jinhan said, “You can give me the address. I’ll go there myself.”

Upon hearing this, Hu Yao was first taken aback, then immediately broke into a smile. “Sure, no problem. I’ll send it to you later.”

If he wasn’t going with her, couldn’t she create a chance to run into him by “coincidence”?

Seeing that he had come out here and still kept such emotional distance, Hu Yao found herself liking him even more.

She didn’t think there was anything shameful about trying to win someone over. In her eyes, Chu Jinhan’s girlfriend simply wasn’t good enough for him.

A good man deserved a better partner.

Moreover, she had a feeling this man had potential—he was bound to succeed in the future.

Mr. He and Wang Qiang walked at the front. Hearing the conversation behind them, Mr. He silently shook his head.

Although he felt Hu Yao’s obvious intentions were improper, since it was a personal matter, he couldn’t say anything.

After entering the hotel room, Chu Jinhan took out his phone and happened to see a message from Song Yunfei.

It was a photo of the high-speed rail station—Song Yunfei had already arrived.

He had asked her to send a message half an hour before arriving, since the hotel was a bit far from the station and it would take over twenty minutes by car.

Chu Jinhan borrowed the car keys from Mr. He and left forty minutes early for the station.

After getting off the train, Song Yunfei walked out and immediately spotted a man standing in the plaza outside.

She ran toward him happily. “Chu Jinhan!”

Chu Jinhan turned to look at her. Song Yunfei had her hair tied in a bun, wore a white dress with a chiffon cardigan over it, and a pair of white sneakers.

As she ran toward him, her skirt fluttered in the wind, and the silver threads on her clothing seemed to shimmer in the sunlight.

Chu Jinhan took the suitcase from her. “Why did you bring a suitcase?”

Song Yunfei grinned. “Clothes to change into, of course. You left in such a hurry this morning and didn’t bring anything, so I also brought your toiletries.”

Chu Jinhan nodded, placed the suitcase in the trunk, and led her into the car.

It was around 2 p.m., and Song Yunfei hadn’t eaten yet.

Chu Jinhan took her to a restaurant first, then brought her back to the hotel.

In the afternoon, they were going to set up the booth at the exhibition hall, and Song Yunfei went along with him.

When Hu Yao saw Song Yunfei, her expression became quite interesting, as if something was stuck in her throat.

With a smile, she said, “You really keep a tight watch on Chu Jinhan, huh? You even chased him all the way here.”

Song Yunfei paused for a moment. Recognizing Hu Yao’s face, she searched her memory and recalled who this woman was.

Previously, the original owner had gone to the factory to find Chu Jinhan many times, and on several occasions, this Hu Yao had made sarcastic remarks and even tried to sow discord in front of Chu Jinhan.

Song Yunfei hooked her arm around Chu Jinhan’s and smiled as she replied, “Of course. Traveling this far—what if some improper woman tries to flirt with him?”

Hu Yao naturally heard the underlying jab and laughed coldly. “We’re here for work, not for sightseeing. Besides, if a man wants to cheat, no amount of watching will stop him.”

Her words carried a hint of hostility.

Song Yunfei was about to retort, but Mr. He quickly interjected, “Alright, you two, stop talking. We’re here to get things done—let’s head to the exhibition hall first.”

Song Yunfei didn’t bother arguing further with Hu Yao. She hooked her arm around Chu Jinhan and said, “I’ll help you, dear.”

Chu Jinhan froze slightly upon hearing how she addressed him.

Hu Yao rolled her eyes hard.

Mr. He coughed twice to cover his awkwardness and called Wang Qiang and Hu Yao to get in the car quickly.

This time, they had brought two cars—one of which was for transporting goods.

Mr. He didn’t want to be fed “dog food,” so he had Chu Jinhan and Song Yunfei sit in the cargo truck.

After arriving at the exhibition hall, the four of them began unloading and setting things up. The venue was very large—reportedly hosting over a thousand vendors.

The official opening wouldn’t be until the next day, but there were already many people inside today, all of them staff busy setting up booths.

Seeing so many people, Song Yunfei felt uneasy and anxious.

Her eyes kept scanning the surroundings, checking whether anyone might recognize Chu Jinhan.

Fortunately, from the afternoon until the hall closed in the evening, no one noticed them. Only a few acquaintances of Mr. He and Wang Qiang came over to greet them, but none of them knew Chu Jinhan.

The original owner had arranged for Chu Jinhan to join this factory precisely because the chances of running into acquaintances in this industry were low—it seemed that decision had been correct.

After finishing setting up the booth, it was already 9:30 p.m. when they left the exhibition hall.

Mr. He invited them all out for dinner, but the atmosphere at the table wasn’t great. They finished quickly and returned to the hotel.

At the hotel entrance, Chu Jinhan took Song Yunfei’s hand. “I’ll take you somewhere.”

Song Yunfei asked curiously, “Where?”

Chu Jinhan didn’t answer. He simply held her hand and led her away.

The place he brought her to was exactly the cultural street Hu Yao had mentioned. It wasn’t far—just over ten minutes away.

The buildings here had a classic, antique charm. Even at this hour, there were still many people, and the entire street was brightly lit.

“Is this like a night market street?” Song Yunfei observed the shops on both sides, which sold all kinds of items, with food being the most common.

Chu Jinhan nodded. “See if there’s anything you want to buy.”

Song Yunfei had just finished eating and wasn’t very interested in food.

However, she was drawn to the small stalls selling handcrafted accessories and cultural products—the items looked quite appealing.

She suddenly stopped at a stall that made braided hand cords.

The stall owner was a woman in her forties, currently teaching a young couple how to weave bracelets.

Seeing Song Yunfei and Chu Jinhan stop by, the woman smiled and said, “Hey there, miss, sir, want to take a look at the hand cords? You can make them yourselves. How about making one for each other? It’s very meaningful as a keepsake.”

Song Yunfei felt a bit tempted, but still turned to look at Chu Jinhan, seeking his opinion.

Chu Jinhan met her gaze, then looked at the stall owner. “How do we make them?”

“It’s simple. There are videos here, and if you don’t understand, I can teach you. It only takes a few minutes to finish.”

Song Yunfei quickly asked, “How much is one?”

The woman replied, “Not expensive—twenty yuan each. You can choose any materials you like here.”

Before Song Yunfei could say anything, Chu Jinhan had already taken out his phone and paid.

She glanced at him playfully and said half-jokingly, “You’re pretty quick to pay—are you secretly hiding some private money?”

Chu Jinhan replied, “Forty yuan counts as private money?”

Song Yunfei blinked. “I guess not.”

She didn’t dwell on it further and pulled Chu Jinhan to sit on a small stool nearby while they waited for the couple to finish.

On the table was a tablet displaying more than a dozen tutorial videos on how to weave the cords.

She swiped through them and chose one that seemed suitable for Chu Jinhan—a black and gold design called “Turning Fortune Around.”

“I’ll make this one for you. What do you think?” she said, pointing at the sample.

Chu Jinhan’s gaze lingered on the black hand cord for two seconds before he nodded slightly. “Okay.”

Song Yunfei then pointed to a red hand cord. “I want this one—the ingot design. I hope it brings me lots of wealth!”
