No matter what it was, adding “first time” to something always made it feel infinitely more meaningful.

She was the first girl to see the male lead’s sleeping face.

She couldn’t help but lean closer to study Ren Yanjing. Up close, his face was still striking—long eyelashes, fair skin, and peaceful while asleep.

He handed Tang Zhen a bottle of mineral water. “Drink some water.”

Tang Zhen took the bottle, still lazy from sleep. She handed it back to him and said, lazily, “Open it for me.”

Ren Yanjing paused, clearly not expecting this. “Sorry.” This time, he opened the cap before handing it back to her.

Tang Zhen sipped the pricey mineral water and let out a faint sigh. She thought to herself that this was just planting seeds—next time, the male lead would never make such a rookie mistake again.

After drinking, Ren Yanjing started the sports car. The orange-red car weaved through the city at night. Tang Zhen held the water bottle, squeezing it slightly as she asked, “Where are we going now?”

“To watch the sunrise.”

The car quickly left the city, climbing a winding mountain road. Tang Zhen wasn’t sleepy at all. She occasionally watched the road, occasionally glanced at the steering wheel, and sometimes looked at the male lead’s side profile.

He looked truly handsome while driving.

By five o’clock, the car stopped at the mountaintop. The transition between night and day, the mountain peak held only her, the male lead, and the constant rushing wind.

It was secluded, yet an ideal place to watch the sunrise.
