Zhu Jie lifted her head with a hint of grievance and murmured softly, “Is all you can do just massage my shoulders?”
What did she mean? Good grief, this scene was way too beautiful—Ji Yi didn’t even dare to look directly! He gently used his fingers to lift her clothing back into place. “Don’t cause trouble! We’re getting married tomorrow. You wouldn’t want to see your groom with swollen eyes, would you?”
Seeing his cautious, careful manner, Zhu Jie instead grew unusually enthusiastic and pounced on him again, whispering into his ear, “I want to see my groom early!”
No way! That statement was full of ambiguity! Ji Yi swallowed hard and weakly said, “Tomorrow… tomorrow will be here soon enough!”
“No, I want it today!” Zhu Jie declared firmly, then with a burst of force, pushed Ji Yi down onto the bed!
Seriously? Can women really be this passionate? This guy just never played by the usual rules!
Ji Yi lifted his head, watching his soon-to-be bride clumsily fumble on top of him. She was clearly inexperienced too! He saw her tug at his clothing while panting and kissing him—but, but he wanted to say, just dragging at the clothes isn’t enough! The pants… the pants are what matter!
Zhu Jie’s hands wandered over Ji Yi’s body, reckless and daring, like a spark igniting a fire within him. No, his passion had already been ignited; now the fiery serpents of desire were teasing him!
“Um… do you know you’re playing with fire?” Ji Yi warned seriously once again.
Zhu Jie didn’t answer at all, instead kissing him relentlessly, fueling his flames even more.
“No, no, stop!” Ji Yi could no longer contain himself and let out a sharp cry, flipping over to pin Zhu Jie down. “Think carefully! I originally planned to wait until after the wedding!”
“We’re getting married tomorrow anyway,” Zhu Jie said righteously, her eyes full of teasing.
“Ah, you little devil!” Ji Yi sighed. Yeah… tomorrow they’d be married. Fine—consider this a wild celebration of being single!
He kissed her fiercely again, but this time it wasn’t Zhu Jie—it was Ji Yi. Like a wolf, he let out a low growl and lunged at his prey.
The night was beautiful, and she was even more so. The two of them lay there, exhausted, breathing each other in, wrapped in each other’s arms.
“Don’t worry. As long as I’m here, no one can tear us apart,” Ji Yi whispered comfortingly. He could sense Zhu Jie’s unusual mood and her anxiety. “You are my wife—this moment, and in the future as well!” he promised solemnly.
Zhu Jie said nothing, only curled closer into his embrace. It was so safe there, and she could even hear his steady heartbeat. In that moment, she truly felt happiness—happiness that belonged to the two of them.
“Tomorrow we’ll get married, right? Then no matter who opposes us, it won’t matter!” Ji Yi chuckled. He was planning to turn the situation into a done deal.
But Zhu Jie firmly said, “We’re already married today!” Then she turned and kissed him deeply.
Yes, the rice had already been cooked! And past midnight meant it was already technically tomorrow. Ji Yi smiled. Fine, the order of events had just changed—first the bridal chamber, then the formal wedding.
“Yes, we’re already married today!” Ji Yi said with a smile. “Wife, now you can sleep peacefully.”
Zhu Jie still couldn’t close her eyes. She silently gazed into the distance, into the darkness of the night—where someone seemed to be.
Following her gaze, Ji Yi saw it too. At a moment like this, someone was actually standing guard for him. Should he feel grateful?
He sneered and asked, “Who’s that?”
“My master!” Zhu Jie hesitated. “One of them.”
Alright, just one of her masters. Hmph! And she had plenty more masters, none of whom were guarding him. Did they not know the meaning of timing and propriety?
