A sharp gleam flashed through her eyes as Baili Yan pressed her hand against the barrier and said coldly, “After all these years, do you still not understand? Master didn’t hand everything over to you and didn’t allow you to enter the White Lotus Cave precisely because your own strength wasn’t enough. If you went, you would only be led astray—you simply wouldn’t be able to—”

“Shut up!” Baili Wushuang spun around abruptly, her face turning incomparably dark. “You still have the nerve to mention Master? He was biased, giving everything to you. And me? I had nothing! I’m not strong enough? Hah! In this entire continent, who is stronger than me? If I’m not qualified, then who is?!”

Baili Yan merely stared at her coldly and said nothing more.

Gripping the Thunderbolt Spear tightly, Baili Wushuang sneered and slowly walked outward.

Before she had gone far, a woman outside rushed in in a panic. Upon seeing Baili Wushuang, she hurriedly bowed. “Island Master, something terrible has happened!”

“What is it? Haven’t I already said that without my permission, no one is allowed to enter here?” Baili Wushuang’s expression darkened even further.

The woman gritted her teeth and said, “Island Master, the situation is urgent. People from Evil King Island have already crossed the sea and entered the peach grove. And Ling Ruoxi and Luo Mingyu have arrived as well!”

“Oh?” Baili Wushuang raised her brows and laughed softly. “Did you hear that? Your daughter has already come—and that traitor of Qiongyu Immortal Island as well. After I deal with them, I’ll head to the White Lotus Cave! Guards—destroy this place!”

“Ruoxi? Wushuang, stop! Stop!” Baili Yan’s face changed drastically as she threw herself against the barrier, only to be rebounded violently by it.

Watching that arrogant figure gradually leave, she clenched her fists and stared forward coldly, completely helpless. If not for this barrier restricting her movements, would she really be reduced to such uselessness?

Ruoxi… Ruoxi… don’t come here. Leave quickly!

The current Baili Wushuang was no longer the person she once was!

“Let’s go.” Looking at the people waiting outside, that graceful figure stepped forward. The smile at her lips was more brilliant than flowers in early spring. Holding the Thunderbolt Spear, the fire-cloud totem at her brow shone forth, making her look like a goddess.

A flicker passed through his eyes as the King of Eastern Capital glanced back, his deep voice hoarse. “This place—what do you plan to do with it?”

“Destroy it.” Those two simple words shattered the King of Eastern Capital’s heart.

Clenching his fists tightly, he followed silently behind Baili Wushuang, step by step, walking outward.

At the same time, among the peach grove, the people there frowned deeply, their mouths twitching as they watched the two men trapped inside a formation, groping around blindly, unable to find a way out.

Especially Ye Ningfeng—who knew nothing about formations—randomly firing arrows. The battle aura slid off, striking the formation and vanishing instantly. Some arrows even flew out of range, nearly landing among their own group.

“These two…” Silver Wolf struggled to hold back his laughter, nearly bursting out laughing as he watched. The more he looked at them, the funnier they seemed.

Xiao Wu’s face alternated between blue and green as he pointed at the two ahead and asked,
“Mom, what are they doing? Playing hide-and-seek?”

“This… ahem.” Ling Ruoxi gave an awkward laugh. “Luo Mingyu, you should wake them up.”
She couldn’t exactly say that they were trapped in a formation—doing so would completely ruin their dignity.

But the man beside her raised an eyebrow. “Why should I? He’s my love rival. Helping him would be like making things hard for myself.”

“…” Get lost!

What kind of ridiculous excuse was that?!

Ling Ruoxi was both amused and exasperated. She stepped straight into the illusionary formation and walked forward. Locking her hands together before her chest, purple battle aura spread outward.

“Break!”

The surrounding space trembled. The two men standing inside froze briefly, instinctively closing their eyes. Moments later, they opened them again.

“You—why are you here?” Nangong Mo was the first to react. They had only walked inside the formation for a short while—how had they suddenly encountered these people?

What troubled him even more was that the peach grove was filled with people. Had Luo Mingyu’s forces arrived?

“You’re here, so why can’t we be?” Silver Wolf shook his head disdainfully. “But you two are really pathetic—trapped in a formation the moment you arrived.”

Ling Ruoxi could only smile bitterly. She turned to look at the two men. “Thank you. I already know the situation. But my mother—I want to rescue her myself.”

“Ruoxi, I—” Nangong Mo frowned and was just about to speak.

Suddenly, the ground shook violently. The entire Qiongyu Immortal Island trembled. Outside, towering waves rose, and a massive wolf-shaped wave slammed against the island’s barrier.

What happened?!

Ling Ruoxi’s heart jolted with a sense of foreboding. She didn’t know what was happening—after all, she barely understood this place. If it were just a tsunami, wasn’t the timing far too coincidental?

“Oh no!” Xiao Wu’s expression changed drastically as he stared ahead. As a divine beast of Death Island, his lifeline was connected to it. Through the surrounding plants and birds, he could sense what was happening in this sea region.

“What’s wrong?” Ling Ruoxi asked softly.

Clenching his small fists, Xiao Wu looked up at her, gritting his teeth. “Mom—it’s the Boundless Realm. Something happened there. They told me the Boundless Realm has been ordered destroyed by that vile woman. But Grandma is still inside—she’s been buried alive in there!”

“What?!” It felt like a bolt of lightning striking her. Ling Ruoxi nearly collapsed to her knees. With a whoosh, she bolted toward the direction of the Boundless Realm.

“Stop!” White-clad figures appeared one after another, women wielding various weapons shouting sharply as they rushed to block the intruders.

But no matter how fast they were, they couldn’t match that ghostly figure. In the blink of an eye, the person ahead vanished.

Curling her lips upward, the woman standing there chuckled, hands clasped before her chest.
“She still got through. But it doesn’t matter—after dealing with you all, I’ll go slaughter that little girl!”

“Baili Wushuang, you finally came out.” The man standing there slowly extended his hand, pointing at the woman ahead. As his right hand spread, a black Blood Demon Scythe appeared abruptly in his grip.

Baili Wushuang sneered. “As a traitor of Qiongyu Immortal Island, you still dare to return? I really admire your courage, Luo Mingyu. But your opponent—won’t be me.”

A red figure suddenly appeared in front of Baili Wushuang, her eyes now carrying a hint of coldness and unfamiliarity.

“King of Eastern Capital!” Nangong Mo sucked in a sharp breath. He never expected that the once-renowned man would actually be following Baili Wushuang.

The black scythe dragged a long scar across the ground as cold light flashed in Luo Mingyu’s dark eyes. “Move aside. I don’t want to fight you.”

“Heh, but your opponent is precisely him.” Baili Wushuang’s eyes glinted as she quickly turned back, chasing after the figure ahead. “As my hired fighter, this is your final task. King of Eastern Capital, Li Yi—don’t forget your promise!”

Not good!

Luo Mingyu’s face changed drastically. “You two—break through and protect Ruoxi! That idiot!”

“Hmph, I don’t need your orders!” Nangong Mo snorted coldly, though his movements were swift as he turned and ran.

The women around them surged forward instantly, blocking every possible escape route.

“Move.” The silver-haired man spoke coldly. His silver-white figure tapped lightly against the ground and vanished like lightning.

At the same time, Xiao Wu and Silver Wolf exchanged a glance and rushed off in another direction.

Clang!

The heavy scythe collided with the longsword, producing a deafening crash. The two figures who had just clashed snapped back to their original positions.

Crack…

The longsword shattered in that instant.

The King of Eastern Capital raised his brows slightly, lifting his hand to examine the broken blade before chuckling softly.

“The Blood Demon Scythe is indeed formidable. Unfortunately, your control over it is still insufficient.”

Crossing his arms before his chest, two curved long blades appeared in his hands. With a casual swing, purple battle aura gathered behind him like a ferocious tiger.

Opposite him, the man stared coldly ahead, black aura swirling around his entire body. The refined iron of the Blood Demon Scythe was deeply fused with his right hand.

Boom!

The entire Qiongyu Immortal Island trembled violently.

The running figure nearly stumbled and fell. She braced herself with one hand, flipping forward before landing.

She was about to continue running when another figure appeared ahead of her, standing coldly in her path. A smile curved at the woman’s lips as her gaze fell on that familiar face.

“Heh—she really does look quite similar.”

“You!” Ling Ruoxi’s expression darkened as she slowly stood up, sharp light flashing in her eyes as she stared at the person before her.

Baili Wushuang sneered smugly. “It’s me. What—little girl, judging by your expression, it seems you recognize me. Do you know who I am?”

Uh…

Ling Ruoxi frowned slightly, the corner of her mouth twitching. She had overlooked the fact that the woman before her didn’t know she had once been here. If Baili Wushuang learned that the King of Eastern Capital had brought her here, she would never spare that man.

A sharp glint flashed in Ling Ruoxi’s eyes as she laughed coldly. “Of course I know who you are. Luo Mingyu already told me. You’re the Island Master of Qiongyu Immortal Island—a woman beautiful on the outside, but vicious and venomous at heart!”

At the words “beautiful,” Baili Wushuang unconsciously touched her own face. She hadn’t expected Luo Mingyu to give her such an evaluation.

Back then, she had treated that man as her personal male concubine, indulging him in everything. She had never imagined that she was raising a white-eyed wolf—one who would eventually turn around and bite her!

And that bite… hurt deeply.

She had never expected that the Evil King Island forces, which opposed her at every turn, had actually been planned entirely by him.

The spy had been right beside her all along—and the closest one at that.
