“Roar!” The momentum was overwhelming. The figure standing on the ocean shuddered violently and let out a fierce roar. Crack! His black clothing completely tore apart. A massive black python now stood upon the water, grotesque and filthy. Its body was slick with a grimy liquid, making it look like a small loach crawling out of a sewer.

“You weren’t even reduced to a scared little turtle, and you transform on your own?” Luo Mingyu raised an eyebrow and smiled, though inwardly he tensed. Right hand gripping the Blood Demon Scythe, left hand flicked forward. A black totem appeared on his forehead.

The dark light surged, spreading outward. Before his brow, a black silhouette descended onto the water. Almost instinctively, it let out a sharp sound, “You brat! You know I hate water—especially seawater—and you just leave me here? Looking for death, are you?”

The waves roiled, crashing continuously against the rocks.

Rainchou, having revealed his true form, stared coldly at the thing before him. “Is this your true beast?”

“Oh? And there’s a little sewer loach too,” a disdainful voice rang out. The elegant black figure stepped forward—or rather, extended its small paws—gracefully pressing against the ocean surface. Its tiny pink tongue flicked delicately over its smooth fur.

Green eyes glowed ominously. The black cat perched on the water, only normal cat size. Opposite it, the black python stretched at least twenty meters. The enormous and the tiny together looked bizarre.

“You stinking cat, who’s a loach?” Rainchou lowered his massive head, glaring at the black cat. Even his deep voice sounded distorted.

His enormous body measured some twenty meters. And this little cat? Barely the size of a palm—though, technically, it didn’t have a palm.

The bright eyes of the cat gazed at the gigantic python. It calmly lowered its head, licking its paw. Its whiskers twitched as it said, “To me, you’re just a little loach. Kid, in just a few years, you’ve become so weak that even a loach requires my attention?”

The black cat turned to Luo Mingyu, raising a paw without hesitation. Swipe! It tore the leg of his pants.

Luo Mingyu gave a faint smile at the mischievous cat. “Old thing, if it were just an ordinary little loach, I wouldn’t have let you out.”

“So, you think it can turn into a dragon? Even if it could, it’d have to become a lesser dragon first. Judging by its appearance, the barrier’s backlash left it full of wounds and decay. Seems it hasn’t recovered fully,” the cat commented, dragging its chin thoughtfully. One glance, and it read the python like an open book.

The giant python shivered, its eyes flashing in surprise, yet it said nothing.

Luo Mingyu, however, frowned, pointing toward the vast ocean. “Haven’t you noticed?”

“Notice what?” The cat, growing impatient, paused, but next, its green eyes flashed a murderous light. It looked toward the ocean, involuntarily inhaling sharply. “Such heavy malice!”

Boom! Rocks ahead collapsed, blocking the last passable path. Behind them, pursuing magical beasts surged like an endless army, intent on crushing the two.

Cold sweat slid down Silver Wolf’s forehead. He panicked. “What do we do? Some have transformed fully into humans, others remain hybrid. Fighting them inside this cavern is difficult. The situation’s against us.”

“Don’t worry. You find a way to break the rocks behind us. I’ll handle the rest.” Ling Ruoxi flipped gracefully and landed, whispering. Her delicate hands revealed Hetian jade, casually hanging around her neck. Purple Dou Qi flared, and with a point of her finger, several purple lights rippled in front of her.

Silver Wolf knew Ling Ruoxi was forming a formation—but with so many enemies at this critical moment, how long could it hold?

He surged forward, punching the mountain rock. Frowning, he realized it was too hard. “No, this rock is far too strong!”

“Stop right there!”

“Damn it! Run? Let’s see where you go now!”

“Hah, the little girl’s all flustered!”

“Flustered? She’s setting up a formation! Quick, stop her!”

A massive horde surged forward, charging like a dragon.

They were fast, but Ling Ruoxi was faster. The final gesture of her formation erupted, and the approaching beasts crashed into it with a deafening roar, like a collapsing valley.

Rubbing her ears, Ling Ruoxi raised an eyebrow. From her hand appeared a small white vial, which she casually tossed outward.

Clang! Even so many beasts couldn’t break through, yet the vial sailed out. Green liquid flowed, and the beasts on the ground wrinkled their noses.

“Ugh… I feel dizzy…”

“Me too…”

“This isn’t right… I want… sleep…”

“Same here… so tired…”

One by one, the beasts, piled like stacked buns, collapsed in disarray and fell asleep with their heads down.

Silver Wolf was stunned. At least a hundred beasts were there, yet they were subdued so easily? He patted his hands subconsciously and swallowed hard.

“Can’t break it?” Ling Ruoxi pressed against the cold rock, frowning, and said, “Step back.”

“What? You’re going to melt the rocks with that stuff?” Silver Wolf’s scalp tingled. After years together, he finally understood just how terrifying she really was.

With a wave, white liquid dripped onto the mountain rock. Even rocks Silver Wolf couldn’t break corroded immediately.

White smoke rose, carrying a putrid stench. Silver Wolf, already averse to such smells, nearly fainted. He grabbed his clothes to cover his nose, shouting, “Oh my god! I can’t take this, I’m going to—ugh!”

“Damn, what is that smell?”

“Heavens, I can’t breathe!”

“I’m about to throw up…”

Even the beasts on the ground covered their noses and whimpered. Seeing the two ahead, they scrambled to their feet, smashing toward the formation.

“End of the line! Look!” Silver Wolf’s face darkened. He quickly pulled out several vials from Ling Ruoxi’s hands and poured them onto the rocks.

The sizzling sound continued, but too slowly. The stench was nearly overwhelming. He glared at the approaching beasts, furious.

Clang! All forces concentrated on the formation. The beasts screamed, their aura driving them insane as they smashed repeatedly.

The faint purple glow above the formation flickered, and cracks became visible as the massive bodies tried to crush through.

“Damn!” Silver Wolf roared, punching the huge head. Too many beasts—he could only strike one at a time, not all simultaneously.

“Roar!” A low growl sounded. Sharp claws had already locked onto Ling Ruoxi, swiping toward her chest.

Boom!

The entire ocean trembled. Rainchou stood coldly, white smoke rising at the far end. The massive waves roared endlessly.

“Hmph… seems your woman didn’t escape,” Rainchou muttered.

The black cat froze. “When did you get a woman? Didn’t I tell you? With the Nine Nether Qi inside you, you can’t control it. Being with a woman will only make you crazier, and your Nine Nether Qi could kill her at any moment!”

“She’s different… because she’s the one I love most.” Luo Mingyu’s lips curled in a faint smile.

The cat, licking its paw, said, “If that’s the case… then we can’t delay. Time to deal with this little loach.”

“Foolish cat! Didn’t you just say it? Malice! Death energy! Even if you’re strong, you cannot act against me fully under these conditions!” Rainchou’s eyes flashed. Indeed, all Dou Qi practitioners in this area would be weakened. That was the advantage of this territory.

“Little loach? How dare you call me foolish! Hmph! Malice, death energy—none of that matters to me! I am unrestricted!” The black cat roared and suddenly expanded.

As it said, Rainchou’s python was small fry. When the cat’s body reached fifty meters, standing imposingly on the sea, even this vast ocean couldn’t challenge it.

Its sacred body glowed with faint gold, majestic and untouchable by ordinary beasts.

Its overwhelming aura spread far and wide. The beasts lowered their heads in awe. “Do you acknowledge your guilt?”

“You…” Rainchou could barely maintain himself, trembling, terrified. His eyes half-closed, then he looked up and shouted, “Y-you… you’re the Sacred Lynx!”

“Yes. It’s me. Surprised? Without me, do you think this kid could resist the Nine Nether Qi?” The Sacred Lynx lifted its brow proudly, triumphant.
