The man standing there let out a light laugh. His right hand gripped the massive scythe, and the silver figure surged forward, hands clutching the hilt as he swung fiercely at the front.

The sound of iron chains clashing echoed sharply through the space, harsh as if the Black and White Impermanence themselves had come, wielding chains to capture the one ahead.

Two waves of killing intent collided. Even the force of their swings alone sent a windstorm flying outward like knives, stinging the face painfully.

Ling Ruoxi stumbled backward repeatedly, holding her hands in front of her to block the gusts. Even Silver Wolf, standing behind her, protected Xiao Wu in his hands, his long silver hair blown wildly in every direction.

“Heavens!” Silver Wolf instinctively looked forward, jaw almost dropping to the ground. The once-flat terrain had been shattered by the two killing auras. Jagged cuts from the sword qi split the ground, forming deep ravines. The very places where the two had stood had collapsed downward.

What kind of power could achieve this…?

Silver Wolf drew a sharp breath, wiping the sweat from his face. Xiao Wu poked its head out, gazing at the two ahead. Its dark eyes blinked, then closed as a faint golden glow enveloped its body. Yet, the two figures ahead didn’t seem to notice the change.

“What is…?” Ling Ruoxi’s pupils constricted. She stepped back in terror. The aura they had just released was far too strong. If the two men truly fought, perhaps even Death Island itself would be torn apart.

She never imagined that three years later, Luo Mingyu would be this terrifying. His power had grown faster than hers, leaving no time to react. Such formidable strength—their mere presence alone could shake everything here.

Both men were restraining their auras, careful not to expose themselves too much, yet they were capable of destroying the magical beast cavern itself. After all, this place could be considered Rainchou’s old lair.

“Interesting… it’s been a long time since someone could fight me. Come, let me see your strength!” One of the men stuck out a forked tongue, curling it along his sword and licking the blade.

Green blood dripped onto the sword, yet Rainchou didn’t flinch. His cold expression and sharp, gaunt face made him truly terrifying. His movements were serpentine, even his triangular eyes sending chills down the spine.

“Cicada Wing… fine sword,” Luo Mingyu said coldly. Both men, seemingly in tacit agreement, swung their hands. Two black waves of Dou Qi converged and spread outward, forming a black barrier that trapped the two inside.

In the next moment, the two original figures disappeared. Inside the barrier, only the black and white figures moved up and down, colliding again and again.

The heavy aura in the air had decreased somewhat. The intensity of their fight couldn’t be fully sensed, but the blurry figures flashed sparks, dizzying the eyes. Ling Ruoxi held her breath, hands tightly guarding her front, wishing she could step inside. She never imagined that merely bringing a small creature from the cavern would provoke a battle between these two men.

“Luo Mingyu, don’t get hurt!”

Clang! The black Blood Demon Scythe emitted a red killing aura. The Cicada Wing sword barely tapped it, sending two massive forces roaring outward and striking the barrier. The black aura finally subsided after a while.

“What terrifying momentum!” Silver Wolf’s expression darkened further. He gripped Ling Ruoxi’s wrist. “Go! This is no time to watch a show!”

“I’m not leaving!” Ling Ruoxi shook off his hand. Luo Mingyu was still here—how could she possibly leave now?

Silver Wolf frowned, lifted her forcibly, and ran. “Idiot! No wonder Luo Mingyu calls you a foolish woman. Haven’t you realized? He’s stalling—letting us escape!”

“Do you think we’re still on the mainland? This is Death Island. Rainchou controls everything here. He can manipulate the terrain however he wants! His strength rivals Luo Mingyu’s, but in this environment, Luo Mingyu can only defend. We’d just get in the way and give him an opening!”

They ran thousands of meters. Just as they cleared that region, more of the minions surged forward.

Give him an opening…? Ling Ruoxi’s heart jolted as if struck violently. All this time, she had been a burden to Luo Mingyu. No matter how well she used the Poison Scripture, she could never fight alongside him as an equal.

A bitter smile crept across her lips. Helplessness filled her eyes. If not for the Three Talents Array in her body, she wouldn’t have ended up like this.

Who was the person that sealed her Dou Qi back then…?

Bang!

Blades clashed. The two figures nearby stepped back. The cold man stared at the empty space ahead. “Seems your wolf pup isn’t stupid—he knew to escape.”

“Hmph. I don’t need three to handle you. Just me is enough. The aura here is too strong—letting them rest is fine. Look at you, forked tongue all wet, easily scaring my Ruoxi,” Luo Mingyu said with a half-smile, holding the Blood Demon Scythe in reverse.

Rainchou’s face darkened. “You still don’t understand your situation. As the wolf pup said, I control this environment. You think you can win here?”

“Why win?” Luo Mingyu countered casually, his tone no longer the same as before.

Rainchou’s triangular eyes glinted coldly. “What did you say?”

“Why should I win? I just want to have fun. Need more space? Let’s loosen up,” Luo Mingyu said. Meeting someone like Rainchou, capable of challenging him, was rare. Even with the barrier, the space was too small to truly unleash his power.

Rainchou snorted. He spread his right hand, black aura radiating outward. In an instant, the two men reappeared on the ocean.

Boundless, endless, the sea raged around them. Waves crashed violently, splashing into the ocean, disappearing without a trace.

The scythe swung, chains clashed. The man on the water twisted his neck and smiled faintly. “Now, you can unleash yourself. Oh, right—you don’t have hands or feet.”

Rainchou’s expression darkened. He clenched his hands tightly, glaring at Luo Mingyu. “You’re not worthy of showing your true form!”

“Whether I’m worthy, we’ll see. If you think I’m not, don’t hide and become a coward when I attack,” Luo Mingyu said with a faint smile. Standing on the ocean, everything seemed natural.

The Blood Demon Scythe’s black aura returned to him. Stepping on the waves, facing the wind, he smiled lightly. The scythe trembled slightly, resonating with his movements.

This… Luo Mingyu’s calm demeanor unsettled Rainchou. The man stood there walking toward him, yet his aura couldn’t be sensed. There was no trace of Dou Qi within him.

The Cicada Wing sword sensed danger and vibrated sharply.

“Oh? Even Cicada Wing warns me… seems you truly are—”

Boom!

Before Rainchou could finish, a black light shot across the sky. Luo Mingyu dodged swiftly, yet sharp Dou Qi streaked past him, too fast to avoid. Only a flick of his clothing tore.

A blood-red gash appeared on Rainchou’s arm. Coldly, he wiped it, triangular eyes flashing upward. “Seeking death!”

“Oh, angered? You’re just like that dull fool outside. If attacked, you must attack back.” Luo Mingyu smiled faintly, Blood Demon Scythe in hand. The black figure disappeared, and the silver figure casually shifted aside.

Swish! The sharp Cicada Wing thrust forward, barely a hand’s length from Luo Mingyu. His black hair fluttered as the white figure leaped backward.

Yet with a twist of the sword, the wave-like blade struck at Luo Mingyu’s face. He only smiled faintly, extending his right hand casually. Ding! His index and middle fingers lightly pinched the blade.

“Annoyed? Only know how to attack like that? Your Cicada Wing seems afraid of me. Your snake nature can’t even sense my true danger?”

The last words—true danger—left Luo Mingyu’s mouth as a new, unprecedented aura surged outward. Rainchou froze, time seeming to stop.

The triangular eyes fixed on him. Rainchou’s heart skipped a beat. Black, violent energy nearly enveloped the man. The terrifying aura surpassed even Death Island itself, as if accumulated over ten thousand years, pounding at his heart.

Bang!

The black figure recoiled, hands slicing before him. A black aura formed a shield, blocking the deadly killing intent.

Simultaneously, the black figure began to enlarge. At his feet, a thick tail emerged, striking the ocean with every beat.
