Lu Xi wanted to check whether Zhou Hai was injured, but he stopped her. With one arm, he pulled her back, and with the other he pulled the little loli into his embrace, completely shielding them both behind him. His posture was immensely tall and steady.

Amid the surrounding screams, security guards rushed over. The man with blood all over his hands was helped up, and only then did everyone notice that on the other side of the crowd, a woman in high-heeled boots was walking slowly toward them.

Lu Xi smiled warmly. “Sure.”

Chu Menghan gave Zhou Hai a meaningful look, not ignoring the visibly nervous little loli beside them either. Even without introductions, it was obvious the child’s feelings toward Lu Xi were unusual. It seemed Dr. Nan really had sharp judgment.

She turned and left without looking back.
