PCJ – Chapter 517 A Good Medicine for Weight Loss

The rice seemed to have cooked almost instantly. The three little rascals sprang into action, quickly grabbing a very fine porcelain bowl and serving Zhang Jiaohua a bowl of millet rice. Normally, rice made from millet is coarse and not particularly tasty—definitely inferior to regular rice. But this bowl, just by appearance alone, was enough to make anyone’s mouth water. And the aroma — even an immortal would find it irresistible.

Zhang Jiaohua hurriedly took the bowl and started wolfing down the rice with chopsticks. The taste was simply unforgettable.

“This is so good!” Zhang Jiaohua exclaimed as he stared at the empty bowl.

Leopard, Fat Cat, and Chubby Monkey were also each holding a bowl, shoveling the millet rice into their mouths as if in a race. Leopard usually didn’t like eating vegetarian food, yet today he was eating with great enthusiasm.

“Do you three want to go outside?” Zhang Jiaohua asked.

The three of them shook their heads vigorously. Clearly, they preferred life inside the Cultivation Diagram. Here, they could be carefree and free, whereas outside, they would revert to their ordinary animal forms, living in a world filled with mixed and chaotic spiritual energy. Having adapted to their current forms and even tasting the joy of being human-like, the outside world had become somewhat foreign to them.

After a while, Zhang Jiaohua left the Cultivation Diagram with a peach in hand.

Fatty (Wu Yuan) had come home a bit early today. When he didn’t see Zhang Jiaohua around, he thought Jiaohua must have gone out to play.

When Zhang Jiaohua suddenly walked out of his room, Fatty, who had been sitting in the courtyard, was left doubting his own memory.

“Jiaohua, where did you go just now? I went into your room to find you, but you weren’t there! I’ve been sitting here the whole time and didn’t see you come in. How did you come out from inside?” Wu Yuan scratched his head, wishing he had Sun Wukong’s fiery eyes to see through everything.

“I was sleeping on the bed. Maybe you just didn’t notice me,” Zhang Jiaohua said, playing dumb.

“How could that be? I clearly saw no one in your room!” Wu Yuan exclaimed, puzzled.

“It’s not that I wasn’t there — I just set up a little trick by the bedside. You just couldn’t see me,” Zhang Jiaohua explained with a smile.

“Oh, I see,” Wu Yuan muttered, scratching his head, trying to imagine what kind of trick could hide someone so completely.

Wu Yuan’s gaze then fell on the peach in Zhang Jiaohua’s hand. As a food lover, he couldn’t help but crave it at first sight.

“Hey, what’s that you’re holding?”

Zhang Jiaohua glanced at the peach and smiled, “Want to eat it?”

“Not really… Where’d you get it? It looks really fresh,” Wu Yuan asked.

“Found it. If you want it, take it,” Zhang Jiaohua laughed.

Wu Yuan hesitated a bit but couldn’t resist asking, “Does it taste good?”

“Seems pretty good. Try it yourself,” Zhang Jiaohua said, tossing the peach over.

Wu Yuan hurriedly caught it, accidentally scraping off a bit of the skin. A rich fruity fragrance immediately spread from the small opening.

“Wow, this peach smells amazing!” Wu Yuan wiped it casually on his clothes and took a big bite.

Instantly, his eyes widened — it tasted incredible!

“This is delicious!” Wu Yuan praised, then turned to ask Zhang Jiaohua, “Where did you buy it?”

“Found it!” Zhang Jiaohua said confidently.

“Okay…” Wu Yuan looked a little disappointed, but still held onto a glimmer of hope. “Where exactly did you find it?”

“Right outside the school gate. I saw it lying on the ground — it wasn’t rotten or anything — so I picked it up,” Zhang Jiaohua said, sounding very reasonable.

Wu Yuan made a sad face. “This peach tastes so good… How am I supposed to eat regular peaches after this?”

“Hey, don’t blame me. I told you it was something I picked up. You insisted on eating it,” Zhang Jiaohua said, unfazed.

Suddenly, Wu Yuan clutched his stomach. A sharp pain hit him.

“What’s wrong?” Zhang Jiaohua asked, thinking Wu Yuan might be joking.

Wu Yuan grimaced and said, “My stomach… It hurts like hell. I need to—”

Before finishing his sentence, he bolted straight for the bathroom.

A long time passed before Wu Yuan finally emerged, carrying a faint smell with him.

“Jiaohua, you’ve killed me! That peach must have been dirty! I’m doomed. How am I supposed to work at the restaurant tomorrow?” Wu Yuan complained.

“Relax. If it gets worse, we’ll go to the hospital,” Zhang Jiaohua said, a little concerned.

“No need, I’m starting to feel better already,” Wu Yuan shook his head.

“You sure you don’t need to see a doctor?” Zhang Jiaohua asked again.

“I’m fine, actually. Feeling better and better,” Wu Yuan said, visibly more relaxed.

But a moment later, he sprinted for the bathroom again.

When he finally came back out, surprisingly, he didn’t seem exhausted — instead, he looked refreshed and even a bit lighter.

“Fatty, are you sure you don’t want to get checked? If it’s food poisoning, a doctor could fix it fast,” Zhang Jiaohua said.

“No need! I feel great. Just… I can’t stop going to the bathroom. At this rate, I’m going to poop away a hundred pounds!” Wu Yuan laughed.

Zhang Jiaohua took a closer look — Wu Yuan did seem to have slimmed down a bit.

Seeing that Wu Yuan wasn’t in real danger, Zhang Jiaohua relaxed. But he thought to himself — the peach from the Cultivation Diagram wasn’t an ordinary peach. It was nurtured in the rich spiritual energy of the diagram — practically a crystallization of spiritual power. Eating it was like taking an elixir. No wonder Wu Yuan, a regular person, reacted like this: the peach’s spiritual energy was flushing the impurities out of his body.

“You really look thinner,” Zhang Jiaohua commented.

“Really?” Wu Yuan was thrilled. He dashed inside to check himself out in the mirror.

“You can see for yourself,” Zhang Jiaohua chuckled.

Moments later, Wu Yuan came running back, grabbing Zhang Jiaohua’s arm. “Jiaohua, my good brother, you must help me this time. That peach… it really wasn’t bought, right?”

“What’s wrong?” Zhang Jiaohua asked.

“I really lost weight! At least ten pounds!” Wu Yuan shouted excitedly.

Zhang Jiaohua scratched his head, “Even if you lose ten pounds, you’re still a fatty, you know?”

With over two hundred pounds on him, losing ten wouldn’t make a huge difference for Wu Yuan.

Wu Yuan smiled bitterly. “At least now I have hope of getting back to my prime!”

“You don’t need peaches to lose weight. Just add an extra hour of martial arts practice every day. Within half a year, I guarantee you’ll be as thin as a stick,” Zhang Jiaohua teased.
