Zhang Benrui continued to watch the excitement without rushing to leave. When he saw Zhang Jiaohua’s mountain dogs managing to hold off the black cats’ attacks, he was astonished.

“This is incredible. No wonder Jiaohua has so many dogs. They’re so powerful! With dozens of dogs guarding the garden, no one can steal even a single tea leaf. Everyone thought Jiaohua was foolish, but he’s actually very clever. I knew it! I knew it!” Zhang Benrui stomped his feet with excitement, completely forgetting his main purpose for being out that day.

As the mountain dogs launched their attack and defeated all the black cats, Zhang Benrui was left dumbfounded. When the defeated black cats began to flee and surged towards him, he was scared out of his wits and fled in a panic.

“Oh my god! This is really life-threatening,” Zhang Benrui exclaimed as he ran away. But he couldn’t outrun the wild cats and was soon overtaken by the fleeing black cats. Desperate, he ran sideways and found himself facing a rushing water ditch.

Coincidentally, the fat cat was also running towards this area. Its subordinates couldn’t reach it in time, and the normally sedentary fat cat was forced into a physically demanding long run.

“Woof, woof, woof…”

The loud barking of the Mountain Leopard made it impossible for the fat cat to stop and rest. Its usual fat didn’t bother it much, but today, against the Mountain Leopard, it became a hindrance.

“Ah!” Zhang Benrui cried out. Just escaped from the wolf’s den and now fell into the tiger’s den!

The fat cat was also startled by Zhang Benrui’s sudden appearance. “Meow!”

The fat cat thought the cunning human had blocked all its escape routes!

Zhang Benrui immediately turned to flee. The fat cat also tried to turn around, but with pursuers behind it, it hesitated for a moment and ended up chasing Zhang Benrui instead.

Zhang Benrui took a few steps and glanced back, only to see the fat cat catching up. He really wanted to scream out loud. Curiosity killed the cat! Oh, it’s killing me!

The fat cat was at a loss, with no escape routes left. The path to the forest was blocked by the Mountain Leopard, and a water ditch lay ahead. It had passed through there earlier. The only remaining direction was towards the garden’s pigsty, which had some buildings. Although there were no large trees, the rooftops were familiar to the fat cat.

The Mountain Leopard quickly caught up. Although it was faster than the fat cat, it had to be wary of the fat cat climbing a tree. Even the mountain dogs couldn’t climb trees. If the fat cat reached the trees, it would be out of reach. Zhang Jiaohua was also desperately pursuing from behind. Although his speed was not slow, it couldn’t match the mountain dogs’ four legs. It wasn’t long before Zhang Jiaohua was left far behind by the dogs.

Zhang Jiaohua quickly used his mental energy to instruct the Golden Tigers, “Golden Tigers, don’t worry about this place for now. Go and help the Leopard catch that fat cat. We can’t let it get away so easily after causing trouble in the garden!”

The Golden Tigers immediately followed the order and rushed to help. Each of them held a wooden stick, which was visible to Zhang Wenrong and others, despite being unnoticed by others.

“Brother Rong, the sticks! The sticks!” Zhang Jiagen and others were deeply impressed by this scene. When they had previously stolen things from Zhang Jiaohua’s house, they had encountered something unclean. They didn’t expect to see it again at the garden.

Zhang Wenrong sighed, even he knew that this thing must be related to Zhang Jiaohua.

The three of them exchanged glances. Zhang Wenrong said, “Forget about it. Whatever it is, it won’t harm us. Let’s quickly go and help.”

Zhang Wenrong and the others had changed since the last time. They had practiced for some time, gained more courage, and understood more about Meishan magic. So, despite being a bit scared, they quickly recovered.

Zhang Benrui was exhausted and picked up a stone from the ground, turning around to shout at the approaching fat cat, “Come on! I’ll fight you if I have to!”

This startled the fat cat, which had been following Zhang Benrui, knowing that this person was too timid to fight back. It had been tailing him closely and was ready to use him as a shield. However, Zhang Benrui’s desperate counterattack caught it off guard. The stone in his hand hit the fat cat like a cannonball.

“Meow!” The fat cat cried out in pain as it was struck.

In this brief delay, the Mountain Leopard caught up.

The fat cat looked at Zhang Benrui, furious and embarrassed, and lunged at him, easily pinning him down with its sharp claws.

“Woof, woof, woof!” The Mountain Leopard didn’t know what to do.

The situation was at a stalemate.

Whoosh!

A sudden whooshing sound came from the sky, as if something was flying through the air.

The fat cat could see clearly in the dark. Upon hearing the sound, it looked up and saw several sticks flying towards it. It was puzzled. The sticks were controlled by several flying children.

“Meow!” The sight startled the fat cat. As it tried to drag Zhang Benrui away, it found him unconscious. At this point, it couldn’t move Zhang Benrui. The sticks were headed straight for it!

The fat cat hastily raised its paws to block, only to hear a ripping sound as its pants tore. The pain was excruciating, and it was struck by several sticks on the head, knocking it out cold.

The Mountain Leopard rushed in and bit the fat cat by the neck, carrying it away to report back. Zhang Benrui was left behind, with no one paying attention to him.

Once everything was quiet, Zhang Benrui slowly got up from the ground.

“Thank heavens, I’m still alive,” Zhang Benrui said.

Although Zhang Benrui hadn’t found Zhang Genxin, he decided to go home. As he reached the edge of the bridge, a hand reached up from underneath and grabbed one of his legs, pulling him down and tripping him as he hurried home.

“Ghost!” Zhang Benrui, who had been scared many times that night, was surprisingly calm this time. If it had been earlier, he would have been terrified.

“Help, help!” A very faint call for help came from under the bridge, accompanied by the sound of water.

“Who, who is it?” Zhang Benrui, now trembling with fear, sounded on the verge of tears. “Is this ever going to end!”
