MCSCPM -Chapter 192 True Face Revealed

Mind-Reading Consort with Superpowers: The Cold Prince, Go Easy on Me7 min read192 of 378

The countryside was silent.

“Yin Qingyue,” Chu Jingcheng called softly, his fingers wandering across her body unconsciously.

He gently lifted her face.

“Right now, there’s no one around. Why not reveal your true face?” Chu Jingcheng said, a cold, teasing smile curling at the corner of his lips.

“Why should I listen to you? Who do you think you are?” Yin Qingyue’s eyes widened in anger, clearly displeased.

Just moments ago, he had kissed her impulsively—now thinking back, it almost seemed like a dream. Yet the man before her was so real.

“You may ignore my words, but if I let go, and you fall, can you blame me?”

Behind her lay a bottomless cliff. One slight slip from Prince Jing, and her life would be over in seconds.

“Would you really let go?” Yin Qingyue sneered.

Chu Jingcheng only wanted her to reveal her true face; there was no reason to threaten her like this. Could it be that her earlier anxiety was just her imagination?

“Once this Prince decides, how could there be any falsehood?”

In an instant, he pulled her hand and held her gently against his chest. The familiar scent lingered at his nose.

At that moment, he wished time could stop, that the two of them could remain there forever.

“Yin Qingyue, I will protect you well,” Chu Jingcheng thought to himself.

Over the years on the battlefield, he had learned that some things could only be obtained through effort. Only by personally killing his enemies could he feel secure.

Now, holding Yin Qingyue in his arms, that sense of security was unmatched.

“There’s no one around. Prince Jing, isn’t doing this a bit shameful? Qingyue is pure,” she said, but before she could finish, he tugged her in another direction.

“What I do—can you stop me?” the prince said, eyes half-closed, a thoughtful look in them.

Since leaving the Luocheng Courtyard, he had never seen Yin Qingyue’s true face.

This was a rare opportunity he could not waste.

The countryside was full of grass, stretching endlessly.

Yin Qingyue stared at the man before her, feeling as if she were dreaming.

Since she had transmigrated, from their first encounter to now, their connection had been entangled with unexplainable hardships.

Yet, she did not realize—this was only the beginning.

“What exactly do you want to do?” she asked, frowning slightly.

“Didn’t I say? Your true face belongs only to me,” Chu Jingcheng said, a wicked smile curling at his lips.

“Qingyue’s appearance, really decided by the prince?” Yin Qingyue smiled, offering no resistance.

Led by the prince, they reached a riverside.

“Sit,” Chu Jingcheng said, smiling. He intended to wash away her heavy makeup himself, to finally see her beauty.

Yin Qingyue slowly sat down, gazing at the flowing river, eyes dreamy.

She had never imagined that one day she could sit here so calmly, sharing a peaceful moment with Chu Jingcheng.

From the moment they had met, sparks had flown between them—but she had never known it was love.

“Missing Xize?” Chu Jingcheng’s eyes revealed concern.

Though this place resembled Xize, it was Beihao. Could she be homesick?

He pulled a handkerchief from his sleeve.

“You carry a handkerchief, a grown man—why?” Yin Qingyue asked, puzzled.

“For you,” he replied.

Slowly, he placed the handkerchief in the river.

“Now, close your eyes,” he said gently.

Yin Qingyue’s body stiffened. Usually stoic and cold, Prince Jing was now so tender.

He lifted the handkerchief and moved it along her face, carefully wiping, as if afraid to hurt her.

A man who had wielded swords and spears on battlefields, now so cautious in front of her—even Chu Jingcheng himself could hardly believe it, let alone Yin Qingyue.

“My heavy makeup can’t be removed with just water,” she said, smiling, offering him a bottle of white powder.

“You need to use this as well to wash it clean,” she explained.

“Hmm, then it’s settled,” Chu Jingcheng said, eyes glinting.

“You rogue,” Yin Qingyue frowned but did not resist.

She allowed him to wipe her face, understanding his intention.

“After all, there’s no one around. The only ones who will see your true face are Chu Jingcheng and Mei’er. Even so, it won’t take long to remove the makeup completely,” she thought.

As a single woman, opposing Chu Jingcheng would be futile.

Normally, it would take her only a few minutes to remove her makeup, but under his careful hands, it took an entire hour.

“Prince Jing, are you done yet? How long will this take?” she asked impatiently. Being outdoors too long was not ideal. Mei’er would surely worry if they were late.

“An hour is too long for you, Yin Qingyue? Aren’t you being impatient?” Chu Jingcheng sneered.

“I just want to return soon, so Mei’er doesn’t worry. Prince Jing, your thoughts are hard to commend,” she replied.

“All done,” he said, his eyes burning as he stared at her face. Though he had seen it only once before, it was unforgettable.

This face had appeared countless times in his mind, never fading.

“Prince Jing, have you seen enough?” Yin Qingyue said, displeased.

In the wild, alone together, any man might think impure thoughts. Yin Qingyue felt the same—especially after the prince had forcefully kissed her and torn her clothes before, it wasn’t the first time.

“I’m just taking a longer look. Are you afraid I’ll eat you?” he said.

Not far off, a few villagers carrying firewood came into view.

“Wow! Who are these two? The man is handsome, the woman beautiful—what a perfect pair!” one villager exclaimed, eyes full of envy.

They had been gathering firewood in the countryside for years and never seen anything like this.

Chu Jingcheng wore white robes, Yin Qingyue in simple attire. The villagers thought they were perfectly matched.

“Hey, why are you walking so fast? Can’t you see them?” another villager shouted.

The others stopped, staring at the stunning young woman.

“I’ve never seen someone so beautiful. This can’t be real!”

“Pinch yourself and see if it hurts!” others laughed, never taking their eyes off her.

“That man is quite lucky! If I were him…” one villager grinned, imagining various scenarios.

“But no matter how beautiful, she’s not ours. Let’s go home before we make trouble,” another said.

“Yes! Even pigs run, but we can watch them!” others agreed.

Women in Beihao were bold—and men too. Villagers rarely entered the city; such a sight was rare indeed.

“Fine, I’ll have a look too, then leave,” another villager said embarrassedly.

“Ha! Afraid your wife will scold you if you linger?” others teased.

“Shh! They’re leaving,” silence fell.

Yin Qingyue paid no attention. Ordinary people were astonished by her beauty.

“Can’t hear the compliments?” Chu Jingcheng teased, a smug smile on his lips.

In the future, Yin Qingyue was his—and these villagers could do nothing but look.

“Prince Jing’s intentions, I don’t understand. Back in Xize, you captivated all ages. Were these villagers also drawn to your handsomeness?” she said mockingly.

He had once said only he could see her true face—now, countless villagers had seen it. Yet he seemed pleased, not angry.

“Yin Qingyue, you are clever. Do I really need to explain my intentions to you?” Chu Jingcheng said coldly.

The distant villagers were dumbfounded. Yin Qingyue had just washed her face, makeup-free. Her skin was smooth as cream, her face flawless—a man seeing her would be moved.

“Look at the young couple, flirting freely. In the countryside, carefree. We can only watch,” the villagers sighed.

“Don’t these look like ordinary families? Simple yet refined clothes… ordinary people can’t produce such beauty,” one said.

“Alright, let’s go,” another said.

The villagers left reluctantly.

“Everyone’s gone. Do you still want to stay here, Miss Yin?” Chu Jingcheng asked, smiling, triumphant.

Even with her makeup gone, he did not mind.

Yin Qingyue snorted. “Prince Jing brought me here and wasted an hour—are you blaming me for lingering?”

“I’m in a good mood today, so of course I won’t quarrel. We didn’t properly stroll before—let’s go now!” Chu Jingcheng said, unable to hide his joy.

He wanted everyone in the capital to see: Yin Qingyue was his.

“Shameless! Broad daylight, so blatant—aren’t you afraid?” Yin Qingyue said, sarcastically.

Today, she wondered if the prince had gone mad. His usual caution had vanished. She couldn’t imagine the troubles that would arise if they truly went out together.

Chu Jingcheng snorted. “Such a small matter—why are you afraid? In this world, what could you fear?”

A burning gaze pinned Yin Qingyue. For a moment, she felt suffocated.

Now, she was like a puppet in Chu Jingcheng’s hands; struggling was futile.

“Since the day I arrived, I’ve never feared anything—except that you, Prince Jing, cause too much trouble,” she said pointedly.

“I saved your life, yet you speak against me?” Chu Jingcheng approached step by step.

“Prince Jing, you saved my life—that’s true. But remember, life can be returned to you too!” Yin Qingyue said, each word deliberate.
