Whatever Yin Qingyue wanted, Chu Jingcheng would buy it for her—no matter what.
“Then thank you, Prince Jing, but I don’t need it. Please let go!” Yin Qingyue said, each word sharp and resolute.
“This is Beihao. It is my order—you must obey!”
“I’m from Xize. Pray tell, why should I follow your orders?” Yin Qingyue said coldly.
She shook his hand violently, but could not break free.
Chu Jingcheng had spent years on battlefields; his strength was far beyond ordinary people. With Yin Qingyue’s strength, it was impossible to escape.
“Then you won’t escape either!” he said.
Soon, they arrived in the city.
“Look around. What do you need?” Chu Jingcheng’s eyes never left her.
What he wanted was simply a chance for the two of them to be alone.
“I said I don’t need anything,” Yin Qingyue replied, exasperated. The private residence already had everything; there was no need to buy more.
Chu Jingcheng ignored her and continued walking with her.
“You refused the palace banquet. Walking with me makes up for it!” he said.
The streets of the capital were bustling.
Not far away, many young women cast envious glances.
“Wow! Who is this young master? So handsome!” one woman exclaimed.
But when her gaze landed on Yin Qingyue, her expression changed instantly.
“Ugly, and yet daring enough to walk the streets?”
What made the other women jealous wasn’t Yin Qingyue’s looks, but the strikingly handsome man standing next to her.
“Exactly! Look at yourself—how dare you stand beside such a gentleman?”
Whispers spread quickly. Every woman lamented that such a handsome young master should have someone like them beside him.
“His taste is awful! Judging by his clothes, he’s no ordinary man. Is he blind to pick such a woman?” one woman mocked.
“Exactly! Recently, Prince Jing brought back a girl from Xize. How could an ordinary girl captivate him? Surely no one in the capital compares?”
“Think being pretty is enough to attract Prince Jing? He’s avoided women all these years—would he really do it for you?”
Even if Prince Jing didn’t marry, it was none of their business; arguing here was pointless.
“Enough staring! Even if you stare, he’s not yours!”
Yin Qingyue thought silently: so much jealousy over Prince Jing?
“Yin Qingyue, this is just a fraction. Countless women across Beihao wish to meet me, yet they never get the chance. But you—spending a night at my private residence—this is how you treat me?” Chu Jingcheng said with a cold laugh.
“I’ve already said what I wanted, just like Prince Jing—I won’t repeat myself,” she replied.
“Come here!” Chu Jingcheng pulled at her hand.
“Look! That ugly girl is obviously with the young master. He’s holding her hand—can it be fake?”
“You’d better pray for yourself!” the woman muttered.
In the blink of an eye, they were seated inside a carriage.
“What are you doing?” Yin Qingyue stared at him in shock.
As soon as she stepped into the carriage, her mind flashed back to the alley—the last carriage incident. Could it be that Prince Jing… again?
“Don’t speak,” Chu Jingcheng said flatly.
The carriage sped up. Yin Qingyue was helpless. Although they were headed toward a tavern, it never stopped.
“Out to the countryside!”
“Yes, Your Highness!”
After an indeterminate time, the carriage finally halted with a sigh.
“Follow me,” the prince said softly, his tone unexpectedly gentle.
He tugged Yin Qingyue along as they slowly stepped out.
The scene was strangely familiar—it resembled the place where she had first transmigrated: the meadow, the countryside, the cliffs. The only difference was that now they were in Beihao, not Xize.
Countless hypotheses ran through Yin Qingyue’s mind, all of them crushed. Familiar scenery and people—was this a reenactment? She had no idea what the prince intended.
“Chu Jingcheng, I’ve followed you for so long—what exactly are you planning?” she asked, unable to contain herself.
“Can’t you see? Don’t you recognize this place?” Chu Jingcheng smirked and slowly released her hand.
“Of course I remember! Stripping the prince’s clothes—it’s very similar,” Yin Qingyue said with a smile. That had been the start of a fateful entanglement. If given the chance again, she would never strip the prince’s clothes.
Unbeknownst to her, some things were already predestined.
“You remember very well, Miss Yin! I asked you to wash and mend clothes—wasn’t that a debt to me?” Chu Jingcheng half-closed his eyes, deep in thought.
The past played vividly in his mind. Initially, going to Xize had been about diplomacy, visiting between the two countries, and casually seeing the women of Xize—were they truly gentle and tender, as rumored?
At that time, Chu Jingcheng never imagined that someone so concerned with power and status would have a place in his heart for a woman.
Unconsciously, Yin Qingyue had gradually occupied his heart, and he couldn’t extricate himself. Yet the woman closest to him felt worlds away.
Yin Qingyue sneered inwardly. “Prince Jing, haven’t I already done what you wanted?”
She stepped forward, the familiar scenery forcing her acceptance. That day, when she woke, she had been chased by men—Prince Jing had been by the cliffs. If the first meeting was coincidence, what did these repeated encounters signify?
But Yin Qingyue never believed in fate. Things were man-made; even love had to be fought for.
“Just a few pieces of clothing to repay my lifesaving? Is that all?” Chu Jingcheng stepped toward her, an evil smile curling on his lips.
Yin Qingyue snorted. “Then, Your Highness, how do you expect to be repaid?”
“Yin Qingyue, you woman!”
In an instant, a familiar sensation returned—his warm tongue pressed against her teeth, probing desperately.
Unprepared, Yin Qingyue was forcefully kissed by Chu Jingcheng once again.
“Let go!” she whispered. She knew resistance was futile, yet she still tried.
She stepped back, tapping his shoulders with her hands.
Again, his warm lips pressed against her, never releasing.
He wanted to possess this woman, yet all he received was repeated rejection.
Across all of Beihao—or even Xize—any woman would desire him. Yet only Yin Qingyue showed such disgust, refusal, and he was helpless.
Thinking of this, Chu Jingcheng tried to pry her teeth with his tongue, probing deeper. The more she resisted, the deeper he went.
In an instant, the air was thick with the scent of blood.
Even so, Chu Jingcheng did not relent.
“You pervert! Must I bite your tongue off before you stop?” Yin Qingyue thought, forced to accept the kiss.
“Do you think I’ll back down so easily? You underestimate this king,” he said, blood at the corner of his mouth, a wicked smile on his face.
Many times he had chances to take her body—but Chu Jingcheng hadn’t.
Taking a woman’s body was easy; winning her heart was not.
Before Yin Qingyue could think further, his warm lips pressed against hers again. Unprepared, the feel of his tongue was smooth, like jade.
At that moment, Yin Qingyue’s mind went blank, her hands weakly resting on the prince.
The only words flashing in her mind were: “forceful kiss.”
She didn’t understand why Chu Jingcheng kissed her repeatedly. After all resistance was exhausted, it only evoked endless memories.
Whenever her mind was free, the image of Chu Jingcheng lingered relentlessly.
In an instant, Yin Qingyue faced his kiss—passion and fire intermingling.
