LOT -Chapter 149 Her Face Landed on the Second Prince’s Butt

Let All the Officials Hear My Thoughts; I’m Just Going to Slack off and Watch the Drama6 min read149 of 343

Under the increasingly nervous stares of the envoys, U Mula finally got to the main point.

She volunteered to perform a dance — and naturally, no one objected. After all, an extra performance was always welcome.

Lin Mo immediately found the nearest spot and crouched down to watch.

The peacock-like beauty and the clumsy beauty she squeezed aside: “…”

Wei Zheng’an gave a soft hum, then sensibly moved to another seat. Qin Zheng, however, seemed delighted and started chatting with Lin Mo.

“Lord Lin, do you have any special talents? Will you perform later? If you do, I’ll clap for you!”

Qin Zheng truly embodied the word “simple-minded beauty” to perfection.

Lin Mo patted her chest confidently. “I’ve got plenty of talents. I can sing, dance, carve jade, and even play the erhu.”

Qin Zheng’s eyes lit up. “Lord Lin, you’re really so talented!”

Listening to her boasting, Wei Zheng’an silently sighed. Singing and dancing he’d never seen, but the erhu — that he remembered vividly. At his own birthday banquet, she’d played the erhu — and to this day, he’d never seen anyone else do that.

Still, he had to admit, although U Mula didn’t seem very bright, her dancing was truly graceful.

Her waist swayed like a willow branch, full of charm and allure. Lin Mo was watching with great interest.

【Hehehe, beauties really are nice to watch. She might not be smart, but her dancing’s pretty good.】

Bai Xiao crunched on melon seeds. 【Of course. She’s practiced this dance for more than half a year.】

In the center, U Mula spun in circles, her gaze drifting toward the three princes.

The Crown Prince suddenly had a bad feeling and subtly moved closer to the Second Prince.

U Mula twirled closer and closer to the Crown Prince, and everyone’s attention focused on her.

Even Emperor Xuande craned his neck to watch. He wanted to see how his son would handle such a situation.

“Ah!” When U Mula danced close enough, she suddenly cried out and toppled forward — right toward the Crown Prince.

The Crown Prince reacted quickly — by yanking the Second Prince, who was drinking beside him, into his arms.

The Second Prince tumbled forward and fell onto the Crown Prince’s lap, just as U Mula crashed down — her face landing squarely on the Second Prince’s butt.

The entire hall fell silent. Even the musicians stopped playing.

Lin Mo’s eyes widened, her mouth hanging open. 【Wow! That’s intense! That’s what you call a literal “warm face pressed to a cold butt”!】

Bai Xiao: 【Tsk tsk tsk, I’d love to know what the Second Prince and U Mula are thinking right now. Poor guy — his royal butt’s been molested.】

Up above, the Emperor and Empress exchanged glances — and then both turned their heads away.

But their quivering lips and shoulders betrayed them.

No, we can’t laugh! We represent the dignity of a nation! Hold it in!

“Ahhh! Ptooey ptooey ptooey!”

U Mula shrieked, scrambling to her feet, then smacked the Second Prince’s butt with a loud SLAP!

The sharp sound made everyone’s hearts skip a beat.

The Second Prince, still sprawled across his elder brother’s lap, was completely dazed — until the burning sting reminded him he’d just been spanked.

Seeing his brother struck, the Third Prince lunged forward and restrained U Mula.

“How dare you assault a prince! You’ve got some nerve — are you tired of living?!”

To dare slap his second brother’s butt in front of him — unforgivable!

The Crown Prince awkwardly helped his brother up. “Second Brother, are you alright? Does it hurt? Should we call the imperial physician?”

The Second Prince nodded blankly… then shook his head, still dazed.

Meanwhile, Lin Mo and Bai Xiao were watching the scene with glee.

【Good thing it wasn’t the Crown Prince’s butt she fell on. His stomach’s not great — if he’d, uh, let one slip right on her face, that would’ve been hilarious.】

【Yeah, yeah — but the Crown Prince really is sneaky, using his brother as a human shield like that.】

Those nearby who overheard their whispers couldn’t help but agree. If the Crown Prince had let one rip, the situation would’ve been beyond salvaging — not just for him but for the nation’s dignity.

The Second Princess Consort came over, trying not to laugh. “Don’t just stand there stunned. Honestly, she’s the one more embarrassed here.”

Though she wasn’t entirely pleased — her husband’s butt had just been spanked in public — seeing U Mula’s mortified face made her amusement outweigh the irritation.

The Second Prince looked at his wife’s suppressed grin and snapped, “You’re laughing?! I was the one who got taken advantage of! My image is ruined! That woman has no shame!”

Then he turned angrily to his elder brother. “And you! What kind of brother are you, using me as a shield?!”

Just moments ago, he’d been watching his brother’s “show” — and in the blink of an eye, he’d been dragged in, his butt met someone’s face, and then got slapped for good measure.

The Crown Princess and the Third Princess Consort were already laughing so hard they could barely breathe, while the Crown Prince gave an apologetic smile.

“Sorry, Second Brother. It all happened too fast. I was just trying to dodge — but there were tables behind me, nowhere to move.”

What was supposed to be a graceful performance had turned into complete chaos.

U Mula seemed on the verge of a breakdown. The envoys from the Jade Kingdom quickly restrained her and kept apologizing nonstop.

Emperor Xuande waved them off with a barely contained grin.

Even though it was his son who’d suffered, that didn’t stop him from enjoying the spectacle.

Once the envoys had withdrawn, the hall’s atmosphere turned even lighter.

“Hahaha!” The Emperor finally burst out laughing.

“Hahaha—Old Second, stop sulking! You’re not even the worst-off one here. The poor girl’s completely traumatized!”

He didn’t bother hiding his schadenfreude in the slightest.

The Empress shot him a glare before gently telling the Second Prince, “Don’t brood over it. It was just an accident — though yes, your elder brother was at fault.”

Then she turned her glare on the Crown Prince, who gave an awkward smile.

Sure, it was his fault — but he didn’t regret it one bit. If he hadn’t acted fast, he would’ve been the one crushed under that woman, and he definitely wasn’t about to marry a side concubine just because of such an embarrassing “accident.”
