Three black lines seemed to appear on Xiao Yu’s forehead as he said:
“Luoluo is far too crafty. Why do I feel that whenever she’s about to lose, she turns around and uses Father Emperor as her weapon? And Father Emperor falls for it every time—and quite willingly, too.”
“That’s why achieving your goals requires strategy. Jin Luoluo understands how to find another angle of attack when a direct approach doesn’t work.”
A look of admiration appeared on Xiao Luo’s face. He greatly approved of Jin Luoluo’s roundabout tactics.
“Besides, Elder Brother never truly intended to punish her. Otherwise, how could she have gotten away with it? Che’er, let it go. Once Elder Brother has made up his mind, arguing further is pointless. And some of what Jin Luoluo said is indeed correct. The fault isn’t hers but human greed. If you keep debating with her, she’ll surely pull out basket after basket of arguments. Even if you argued for three days and three nights, you still might not be able to defeat her.”
“She has a whole basketful of twisted logic. Who can possibly out-argue her? Still, it’s hard not to feel unwilling to accept it. Every time I think I’ve finally caught her and can teach her a lesson, she somehow escapes unscathed. Worse, she grows more arrogant each time, constantly pushing the limits of my patience.”
Seeing that his father was determined to side with Jin Luoluo, Xiao Che had no choice but to suppress his frustration, no matter how annoyed he felt.
With her sharp ears, Jin Luoluo immediately retorted:
“Hmph, who wants to challenge you? I don’t have that kind of time in the universe to waste on you. I’ve always acted this way. If you can’t stand it, then just selectively go blind. Nobody’s forcing you to look. You’re the one who keeps making yourself miserable.”
Two words: asking for it!
“Jin Luoluo, sooner or later you’ll regret treating me this way.”
“I already regret it!”
“??”
Jin Luoluo’s sudden admission caught everyone off guard. It wasn’t like her at all.
The Emperor, Xiao Luo, and Xiao Yu all looked at her with question marks in their eyes.
Even Xiao Che was stunned. His mind was full of doubts. Had this girl suddenly lost her mind? Why was she backing down so unexpectedly?
Just as nobody could believe it, Jin Luoluo finally continued:
“You idiot! I regret being so polite to you all this time. I should’ve cursed you until you were drenched from head to toe and driven you to jump off a cliff. I regret it so much…”
“Damn you, Jin Luoluo—!”
A thunderous roar erupted through the great hall, so loud that it startled the drowsy birds resting in the trees outside and sent them flying into the air!
