“You’re not here to arrest me?”
“Nope.”
“You’re not from the Rainbow Gate?”
“Nope.”
“You don’t know me?”
“…Nope. Don’t know you.”
Three questions, three answers. Lu Wu gave everything away without hiding a thing, fully embodying the honesty of a businessperson. She ran her stall on one principle—fair dealing for all, no deception for old or young alike.
But Winter White Plum completely broke down.
So from the very beginning… it was just her overthinking things, and she ended up exposing her identity and secrets on her own?
Thinking back on all her wild assumptions, Winter White Plum’s face went through a full grayscale transformation.
Oh heavens, she just wanted to dig a hole and bury herself right there.
What now? What now?!
Panic scratching at her head, Winter White Plum turned her gaze toward Lu Wu—and it slowly grew sinister.
On this island, only the stall owner was present. If she killed her… wouldn’t that mean no one would know she had been exposed?
After all, she was from a heretical cult. For them, murder and arson were practically normal.
But…
She glanced to the left at Secret, lazily licking its paw. Then looked up at Huo Huo, who was staring at her while spitting faint flames from the corner of its mouth. Behind her, Da Huang had already sealed off her retreat.
Winter White Plum’s spine bent completely.
She couldn’t win. Not at all.
Alright. She gave up struggling.
“Sigh!”
Rubbing her face, as if erasing her embarrassment, she walked stiffly over to Lu Wu.
“Boss, give me another cotton candy.”
Might as well eat first.
“Coming right up!”
Lu Wu loved customers like this.
Busy at work, Lu Wu focused entirely on making cotton candy. Once again, it was a rainbow cotton candy.
A colorful sugar sphere spun in her hands, gradually taking shape.
Those brilliant colors looked like a seven-colored glow illuminating Lu Wu’s head.
At some point, seven tiny rainbow-colored figures appeared above Lu Wu’s head, circling around her, occasionally peeking down at the forming cotton candy.
Radiant light spilled out without restraint.
Lu Wu wasn’t blind. After finishing the cotton candy, she looked up at the seven little “dwarfs,” then at the shifting colors above her own hair, and fell into silent resignation.
Should she just rename herself—
“Li Ying Shang・Angelina・Yuki Hanehan Ling…”
Otherwise, how else could she match this rainbow-haired magical girl aesthetic?
“Boss Lu, I’m here!”
As Lu Wu was observing them, Little Red jumped over first and sat on her shoulder.
“I already explained it to them—you’re just a cotton candy vendor. They didn’t believe me and insisted on coming to see you. But don’t worry, I’ve got your back. No one can hurt you.”
Little Red patted her chest in assurance.
This was a Rainbow Gate trial secret realm. Lu Wu wasn’t from the Rainbow Gate but had appeared here—this alone was suspicious.
It suggested there might be internal problems within the Rainbow Gate.
Her younger siblings likely mistook Lu Wu for a spy and wanted to execute her on the spot.
Little Red had stopped them.
After hearing the little figures’ intentions, Lu Wu wasn’t afraid.
As Little Red said, she was just a proper businessperson—she didn’t do anything bad.
Besides, she wasn’t the only “stowaway” here.
Lu Wu glanced at Winter White Plum not far away, who was quietly trying to sneak off, and very much wanted to tell her: stop struggling. Didn’t she see she was already locked onto by those little figures?
“Hehe, everyone, I’m just passing by. Please continue, continue.”
Feeling a chill down her spine, Winter White Plum froze in place and forced a laugh.
Now that all the rainbow colors were gathered, even if she didn’t understand that these little figures were connected to the Rainbow Gate, she would be a fool.
Under the gaze of seven pairs of eyes, she was trapped with no escape.
This time… she was really going to die.
Seeing their secret realm leaking like a sieve, allowing random people to enter, Little Yellow among the rainbow figures glared at both Lu Wu and Winter White Plum.
Lu Wu had protection.
Winter White Plum did not.
So Little Yellow decided to make her the example.
“Intruder, die!”
Little Yellow moved extremely fast, flashing in front of Winter White Plum. Though small, the strength was immense.
A punch struck out—shockwaves of sonic booms erupted.
Winter White Plum knew: if this hit landed, her head would explode.
But she couldn’t understand—shouldn’t there at least be questioning first? Why straight to killing?!
So cheap is the life of a spy?!
Thoughts raced in a flash of lightning.
And in that instant, Winter White Plum realized she wasn’t ready to die yet.
“I surrender!”
She shouted.
Knowing she was no match, resisting this attack would not give her any chance of survival.
So she gave up completely and raised both hands in surrender.
Closing her eyes, she didn’t dare look.
She only felt the cotton candy in her hand suddenly become heavy.
The air went silent.
Even Lu Wu seemed to have stopped speaking.
What happened?
Her heartbeat quickened—could it be she was already dead?
She slowly opened one eye and peeked outside.
Lu Wu was still in front of her. Good news—she was still alive.
But everyone’s gaze was directed above her head.
The red little figure looked away awkwardly, as if guilty of something, while the others were shaking with suppressed laughter.
Winter White Plum’s arms trembled, making the cotton candy sway.
She slowly looked up—and the moment she saw what was above her, she let go in shock.
A yellow little figure was stuck tightly to the cotton candy sphere, pressed so close there was no visible gap between them, as if it had grown on it.
Very… very absurd.
As she let go, the yellow figure flailed mid-air.
But the sugar threads kept it firmly bound to the cotton candy.
Little Yellow, having been struck by friendly fire, lay in a dazed state—then crashed straight into the ground together with the cotton candy.
Plop.
A soft sound.
The cotton candy was now tainted with sand.
And because it bore more weight, Little Yellow ended up underneath, lying lifelessly on the ground, staring up at the night sky through the gaps in the sugar threads.
“What a dark sky…”
“Time for bed.”
What had happened was this: when Little Yellow launched her attack, Winter White Plum had raised both hands in surrender—along with her cotton candy.
Coincidentally, the cotton candy happened to be right in Little Yellow’s attack path. If she hadn’t stopped, it would’ve been smashed.
Little Red, unwilling to waste food, intervened.
She neutralized Little Yellow’s attack—but forgot to pull her back. As a result, Little Yellow, after losing momentum, couldn’t regain balance and slammed directly into the cotton candy.
The sugar threads had some stickiness…
And so, by sheer coincidence, Little Yellow became one with the cotton candy.
The atmosphere froze.
Lu Wu, still in “service mode,” struggled to hold back her laughter, her cheeks turning red.
“Pfft!”
But the rainbow little figures had no such restraint. After a brief pause, they all burst into laughter one after another.
“Little Yellow, I told you impulsiveness is a demon. See? You got punished.”
“Hahaha! A single sugar ball suppressing a divine stone avatar—this is going to be hilarious if it gets out!”
“No, I’m about to crack open from laughing!”
The little figures laughed until they were bent over, utterly ruthless.
Lu Wu covered her face, trying very hard to maintain professionalism while trembling with suppressed laughter.
