B5SB -Chapter 330 Disloyal, Unrighteous, and Unfilial

Born in the ’50s, Switched at Birth6 min read330 of 394

“You’re worse than an animal, Lu Huailin—you ungrateful white-eyed wolf! Even crows know how to repay their parents, yet you forgot your own mother after marrying a wife! You stood by and watched her beat your own biological mother without lifting a finger!”

With her eyes bloodshot, Mother Lu clenched her fists and pounded heavily against Lu Huailin’s chest again and again, roaring in rage.

Lu Huailin kept his face tense and simply stared at his unreasonable mother in silence. It felt as if a thorn had pierced his heart.

So this was his mother—using such vicious words and malicious thoughts to judge him.

“Mom, since I’m so unbearable in your eyes, then from now on, just pretend you never had this son.”

“Bullshit! You want to cut ties with me? Not a chance! I won’t let you get your way. You two still want to live peacefully? As long as I’m alive, don’t even think about it!”

Looking at her irrational behavior, Lu Huailin raised his hand and rubbed his aching temples.

He said sternly, “Mom, can you stop making trouble for no reason?”

Hearing this, Mother Lu dug her long fingernails fiercely into his wrist to vent her anger.

She felt that now that he saw her as old and useless, he wanted to throw her away like a burden.

Thinking of this, she began scratching his rolled-up sleeve with her long nails while tears streamed down her face.

She wasn’t just heartbroken that he favored Gu Yihan.

What hurt more was that he didn’t take her seriously at all, and had carelessly accused her of stirring up trouble.

Gu Yihan calmly watched Mother Lu’s outburst and said flatly, without a trace of emotion, “From now on, I won’t let Haohao go to your house anymore.”

When Haohao heard this, he immediately clutched her hand tightly and nodded. “Yes, I’m never going again.”

Lu Huailin looked at his wife and opened his mouth, wanting to say that his father genuinely liked Haohao.

But when he saw the bone-chilling coldness in Gu Yihan’s eyes, his throat bobbed, and in the end, he said nothing.

Mother Lu suddenly turned her head and glared viciously at Gu Yihan. Then she sneered.

“You’d better remember what you said. For the rest of your life, don’t ever step into my house again.”

She didn’t believe Gu Yihan would really give up Old Lu’s pension.

Otherwise, she wouldn’t have let Lu Huailin and Haohao go back regularly.

Her motive was obvious.

Wasn’t it just because she couldn’t bear to part with their savings?

Gu Yihan laughed lightly and glanced at Lu Huailin, whose face had turned ugly.

She said coldly, “You think I care about going to your house? If it weren’t for Lu Huailin, who the hell do you think you are to me?”

Then she looked at Lu Huailin and said, “Before dinner, I expect you to deal with this.”

After that, she took Haohao’s hand and went upstairs directly.

She had no appetite for lunch anymore—she was already full of anger.

Mother Lu trembled as she pointed at Gu Yihan’s back, then suddenly grabbed Lu Huailin’s arm tightly.

She threatened, “Lu Huailin, you must divorce her. If you dare not divorce her, I’ll publish in the newspaper that you incited your wife to beat her own mother. I want to see whether the army will keep someone as disloyal, unrighteous, and unfilial as you!”

Lu Huailin’s expression instantly turned cold. He shook off her hand and said in a low voice,

“Mom, do you really hate me that much? Do you have to see my family fall apart before you’re satisfied? Or are you resentful that I live happier than my older brother, so you’re standing up for him?”

Ignoring the guilty look on her face, he walked past her to the sofa and picked up the phone from the small table.

Without waiting for his father to speak, Lu Huailin recounted everything that had happened at home, including his mother’s threats.

Mother Lu, having just calmed herself, suddenly heard him calling to complain.

A trace of mockery flashed in her eyes as she walked over and sat down on the sofa.

She wasn’t afraid at all.

His father was already retired. Over such trivial matters, he wouldn’t really do anything to her.

At most, he would scold her lightly.

Lu Huailin hung up the phone, looked at his mother, and walked to the opposite sofa to sit down.

He said calmly, “Dad will come to pick you up later.”

Mother Lu smiled faintly and asked, “When I was sent to the Northwest last time, was that also your doing?”

Lu Huailin remained expressionless and didn’t answer.

He truly couldn’t understand how their relationship had deteriorated to the point where every conversation became a confrontation.

Seeing his silence, Mother Lu assumed her guess was correct.

Thinking of the hardships she endured in the Northwest and her crippled leg, her voice suddenly rose.

“Don’t think calling your dad can threaten me! As long as you don’t divorce that bitch, I won’t let you go for a single day!”

Lu Huailin said nothing, pressing his lips together and staring at her coldly.

Seeing that no matter how much she cursed or threatened him, he wouldn’t respond, Mother Lu found it boring and shut up, waiting silently.

More than an hour later, Father Lu entered with a stern face. He glanced at Mother Lu and said coldly, “Go.”

Mother Lu snorted, stood up abruptly, and limped out.

After she left, Father Lu turned to his younger son, determination flashing in his eyes.

“I never thought your mother would become more and more deranged.”

Then he added, “I’m going to the Civil Affairs Bureau with her now to get divorced. Tomorrow, I’ll publish a notice to sever ties.”

Lu Huailin stood up abruptly, stunned.

“Dad, you’re divorcing Mom?”

“Yes. That way, she won’t keep coming to the family compound making unreasonable demands.”

With that, Father Lu turned and walked out.

Lu Huailin hurried after him, supported him to the courtyard gate, and watched him get into the passenger seat.

At the entrance of the Civil Affairs Bureau, Father Lu and Mother Lu got out of the car at the same time and looked at each other across the jeep.

Seeing the surroundings and the building, Mother Lu frowned.

“Why did you stop here?”

Father Lu didn’t explain. Holding the divorce documents he had prepared in advance, he grabbed her arm and hurried inside.

Before she could react, he handed over the papers and said coldly, “Comrade, we’re here to get divorced.”

The clerk froze when he saw Father Lu’s white hair, surprised that someone so old was divorcing.

“Sir… you’re getting divorced?”

Mother Lu stared at him in disbelief, her lips trembling.

“Y-You want to divorce me?”

As the clerk carefully checked the documents, he saw Father Lu’s former position and his hands began to shake.

He glanced nervously at Father Lu’s stern face, didn’t dare ask questions, and hurriedly filled out the paperwork.

Seeing that Father Lu didn’t say a word, a wave of fear and panic suddenly surged through Mother Lu’s heart.
