Time Skip

A narrative technique where the story bypasses a specific duration of time, ranging from several months to many decades. This device is commonly used to fast-forward through periods of training, recovery, or mundane travel to reach significant plot developments. It allows characters to age, mature, or gain new abilities off-screen, fundamentally altering the status quo of the world and its interpersonal relationships.
