TRT -Chapter 60 Drunken Chaos

Transmigration & Reverse Transmigration 5 min read 63 of 68 17

Because of Princess Yue Luo’s incident, the Bazang Festival was delayed by a whole month. Who knows how many lovelorn men and women were so anxious that their eyes nearly turned red!

The last day of the Bazang Festival is when men sing love songs to the women they admire. If the woman is interested, she sings one back. If she agrees to become his Andamei, she sings a love song in reply. So in recent days, nearly every young man of the Chasing Wind Tribe has been practicing his voice, and every unmarried girl has been composing lyrics.

And yours truly? I was selling singles with one hand and lyrics with the other. I made a killing!

Just when I was making money until my eyes were red and my head was spinning, Peifu suddenly said something that woke me up:

“Brother Luan is going to sing you a love song, right? But… I’ve never heard him sing since we were kids. Can he even sing?”

Yeah… can White Hair sing?

I imagined that tall, handsome, arrogant, cold-smiling White Hair twisting his waist and singing “Sweet Honey”… and immediately felt chills all over.

(Minmin, your imagination is seriously abnormal…)

But if he doesn’t sing me a love song… why does that make me so unhappy?!

Minmin: White Hair, can you sing?
White Hair: ……

Minmin (thumping her chest): How about I teach you? Trust me! The Cangchun Pavilion Choir was trained by me personally! As long as you’re not completely tone-deaf, I can turn you into a love-song prince! …You’re not tone-deaf, right?

White Hair: …Did I ever say I couldn’t sing?

Minmin (pouting): Yeah right. If you could sing, why have you never sung before? With your show-off personality, wouldn’t you be singing everywhere?

White Hair (deeply emotional): …Love songs are only sung to the person you love.

Minmin (wide-eyed): White Hair… are you flirting with me?!

White Hair =_= : …What…

My desperate attempt to teach White Hair singing ended abruptly the day before the festival restarted—thanks again to Peifu:

“Minmin, do you know what happens after a girl sings back a love song?”

“They go to the bridal chamber!”

“Wha—?! Isn’t there an Andamei ceremony first?”

“That’s just for blessings. Sleeping together happens before that.”

Thunderbolt from a clear sky!!

If White Hair sings and I don’t reply → he loses face → gets angry → forces himself on me.
If I reply → everyone cheers → he’s happy → straight to the bridal chamber.

No! Neither works!

I must make sure he can’t sing tomorrow!

My Sabotage Plan

Noon:

“Minmin, why is the food so salty today?”

Illusion! Illusion!

Evening:

“Why is the bathwater cold?”

“Miss Minmin ordered it…”

Late Night:

“White Hair! Repeat after me: ‘Eat grapes without spitting skins…’ thirty times! Did you bite your tongue?”

……

God wasn’t on my side.

The festival opened grandly. Gongs and horns rang out, roast lamb and fermented mare’s milk filled the air.

White Hair’s tongue and throat were perfectly fine.

Outside, young men and women sang around bonfires. When a man finished singing and a woman replied, the crowd would explode in cheers.

Inside the main tent, I was restless. In my imagination, White Hair carried me off amid applause, and the next morning… messy sheets… red stains…

Nooooooooo!!

I grabbed a giant wine flask.

Drink! Get drunk! Solve everything!

Cup after cup, I drank wildly.

Big Fox kept looking at me. Second Master stared meaningfully. Peifu applauded: “Minmin is still as bold as ever!”

White Hair sat far away. I couldn’t see his expression.

Actually, my alcohol tolerance is great. I’ve never been a “one-glass-and-down” heroine. In high school I drank three beers and two bottles of wine and felt nothing. In college, I was never drunk.

So I drank boldly.

Then it hit me.

I forgot something important.

Steppe liquor is famous for being strong!

It burned from throat to stomach. Half a flask in, my heart pounded, my vision blurred, my blood boiled.

I was… high.

Before losing my last shred of reason, I thought:

Maybe tonight I won’t be the one being pushed down…

Maybe I’ll be the one doing it.

(Minmin has crashed. POV switches to third person.)

Most people were outside singing. Inside the tent were nobles and envoys—quiet and refined.

Except Minmin.

She slammed the table and stood up.

“I want to sing~”

She grabbed a fiddle, plucked it, and howled:

“I’m a broken cabbage~ I’m a broken pineapple~~~”

Headbanging wildly.

Everyone froze.

Nana rushed over. “Miss, you’re drunk—”

Minmin flung the instrument aside, hugged Nana, twisted her waist, and sang:

“Ten men, seven stupid, eight dumb, nine bad—only one truly loves!”

Chopsticks dropped everywhere.

She danced until she tripped—right into the Fourth Prince’s arms.

“Minmin, you’re drunk. Go rest…”

She grabbed his hand and sang passionately:

“Thank heaven~ thank fate~ for letting us meet…”

Everyone was stunned.

She kept singing.

Then suddenly:

“Ugh… I’m sick… water…”

The prince grabbed her. “Sing again!”

“I don’t wanna… I’ll bite you!”

She bit him.

He didn’t let go.

Chaos ensued. Her belt got pulled loose.

She tied it to A-Zuo’s wrist and shouted:

“Sister sits in the boat—brother walks on shore!”

Everyone collapsed.

Peifu cut the belt with a saber.

Minmin jumped free, stripped off her coat, revealing her slim figure and tattoos.

She roared:

“I stand in raging winds—!”

Snatched Peifu’s blade and advanced.

Then flirted with Peifu while singing:

“Among all beauties—only you I love…”

Peifu surrendered.

Minmin spun around, stabbed the blade into the ground, and pointed at Second Master:

“You matter most to me!”

Finally, she staggered to White Hair.

She collapsed.

Then suddenly grabbed his neck and wrapped her legs around his waist.

“Minmin…”

“White Hair~ You think I’m drunk? I’m totally sober~”

She rambled nonsense.

White Hair sighed.

“You’re drunk.”

She cupped his face, traced his features, and sang softly:

“One flower blooms, one fades… Only you are my treasure…”

Then she sang:

“You are my rose~
You are my flower~
You are my lover~
My lifelong love~”

Everyone sweated.

Rose?
