TFWYH – Chapter 4 The Beautiful Husband

Transmigrated as the Villainous Fat Wife of a Yandere Husband 7 min read 4 of 690 82

When Tang Wan wasn’t around, Ling Yue dared to say anything.

But in front of Tang Wan, she didn’t have the courage to gossip.

Even if she was unhappy inside, she still obediently stir-fried the meat for Tang Wan.

Though in her heart, she was cursing Tang Wan softly—

Eat, eat, eat—she only knows how to eat!

This wasn’t like marrying a wife—it was like marrying a pig!

Even if Tang Wan had hunted the wild boar, she didn’t believe Tang Wan would let the three of them—her mother and younger brother—eat any. At most, she might leave a bit for her eldest brother, and the rest would all go into Tang Wan’s stomach.

Not that she could be blamed—it was how Tang Wan used to be.

Whenever there was food in the house, Tang Wan would only care about herself and her husband, never about their mother and the rest.

Don’t be fooled by the fact she now let their mother help divide the meat—it was basically free labor.

In Tang Wan’s eyes, maybe the three of them weren’t even considered “people.”

The more Ling Yue thought about it, the more upset she felt. Her stomach growled, and the smell of meat filled her nose—but she knew none of it was meant for her, her brother, or their mother.

Soon, Madam Jiang came in and obediently handed money to Tang Wan. “The wild boar weighed over 320 jin. I sold 300 jin of meat for six copper coins per jin. That’s one tael and 800 wen. Here’s the money—please count it. Also, Li Dashan and his son helped out, so I gave them one jin of meat. The rest I kept. What do you think…?”

At this point, Madam Jiang trailed off, afraid that Tang Wan would get angry.

But Tang Wan simply took the money, casually stuffed it into her pocket, and nodded. “Thanks.”

“Uh…” Madam Jiang was stunned, feeling flattered. “No need to thank me—we’re family, no need to be so polite.”

At that moment, the meat was done cooking. Madam Jiang sniffed the aroma and gulped hard.

Ling Chen, hiding behind her, also looked at the food with longing.

But the mother and her two children shared the same thought:

That meat probably isn’t for us.

However, once the meat was placed on the table, Tang Wan said, “Eat.”

The three of them looked at her in surprise.

Tang Wan frowned, puzzled. “Aren’t you hungry?”

She had clearly heard their stomachs growling earlier—was she mistaken?

“Eat it before it gets cold,” Tang Wan urged again.

The three of them looked at each other, then at the bowl full of meat, and finally sat at the table.

But since Tang Wan hadn’t picked up her chopsticks, they didn’t dare move either.

Tang Wan wasn’t good with social interactions, but she could sense their fear of her.

She thought about the original host’s past behavior and vaguely understood why.

The next moment, she personally picked up meat and put it into their bowls. “Eat!”

The three were stunned with surprise.

Smelling the aroma of the meat and clearly starving, they finally picked up their chopsticks and started eating.

But they didn’t dare eat too much.

Seeing them drooling while nibbling slowly like Lin Daiyu, Tang Wan found it painful to watch and just started adding more meat to their bowls.

In no time, all three bowls were piled with meat.

Madam Jiang’s eyes twitched. “Enough—enough, Wan Niang, save some for Yu’er!”

Her eldest son was still hungry!

Madam Jiang felt Tang Wan was acting very strangely. Normally, she only cared about her husband, but now it seemed like she had completely forgotten him.

Tang Wan: …

Oh right. I really did forget!

“You guys eat, I’ll go bring him some!”

Tang Wan grabbed a bowl and filled it full of meat before heading to Ling Yu’s room.

Once she left, the three looked at each other.

Ling Chen whispered, “Mom, big sister-in-law is acting weird.”

Ling Yue also frowned. “Yeah, she didn’t scold us today, didn’t hit me or Chen’er, and even let us eat meat. Mom, what’s she up to now?”

“Don’t think so badly of people. Your sister-in-law is a good person. She just couldn’t figure things out before. Maybe now… she’s come to her senses,” Madam Jiang said with a sigh.

That was the only explanation she could think of.

Ling Yue and Ling Chen: …

Thinking back on the once-ferocious Tang Wan, they didn’t buy that explanation at all.

“Big sister-in-law is really strong. I wish I had that kind of strength too,” Ling Yue said, recalling Tang Wan carrying the wild boar back home, clearly envious.

If she had that strength, she could protect her mother, her brother, and her eldest brother—she wouldn’t let anyone bully them.

Madam Jiang lovingly patted her daughter’s head. “Then eat more—only by eating more meat can you get stronger.”

“Mm!” Ling Yue nodded firmly and took a bite of meat, giving her mother a sweet smile.

Tang Wan brought the bowl of meat to her and Ling Yu’s room.

By now, the sky had darkened, and the room was dim. She could only vaguely make out the figure curled up on the bed.

The closer she got, the stronger the smell of rot became.

Only when she reached the bedside did she realize the foul odor came from the man’s leg.

Looking at his face—even though she had mentally prepared herself—Tang Wan was still stunned.

A flawless side profile with a sickly pale complexion, long hair flowing loosely, and a weak appearance.

His long eyelashes were like tiny fans, long and curled.

Clearly feminine features, yet no one would mistake him for a woman.

In Tang Wan’s head, only ten words echoed:
“Graceful as moonlight, beautiful as blooming blossoms!”

Her handsome husband was ridiculously good-looking!

And his features… were about 70% similar to Dr. X.

Just then, the man on the bed opened his eyes. When he saw who it was, a flash of disgust flickered in his eyes, and he immediately turned his head away—as if even one more second of looking at her was unbearable.

Tang Wan snapped out of it and held out the bowl.

Ling Yu struggled to sit up and took the bowl. When he saw it was meat, a flash of surprise crossed his eyes.

While he was still in a daze, he suddenly felt a sharp pain in his leg.

Looking down, he saw Tang Wan touching his foot.

“Get lost!” Ling Yu growled angrily.

If his leg wasn’t injured, he probably would’ve kicked her already.

Tang Wan quietly let go. “It’s rotten.”

She needed to deal with it—otherwise, it would get worse.

But Ling Yu didn’t understand her intention and scowled. “Get out!”

Tang Wan frowned slightly, hesitated for a moment, and then decided to tactically retreat.

This beautiful husband clearly held a deep grudge against her—he probably wouldn’t let her touch him.

And if the patient wouldn’t cooperate, she might make things worse.

But that leg couldn’t be delayed—it was already starting to rot!

Tang Wan began thinking hard about what to do.

With a face so similar to Dr. X, she couldn’t just do nothing!

And this beauty was her husband, after all!

Alright, fine—the point is: he’s a beautiful husband.

“Beautiful” being the key word.

Back in the kitchen, the mother and her two children were already cleaning up and had even left her half a basin of meat.

Tang Wan didn’t hold back—she ate to her heart’s content.

Meanwhile, Madam Jiang asked Ling Chen to fetch water to help Ling Yu wash up.

After finishing up, the mother and children returned to their room.

Tang Wan didn’t go to bed right away. Instead, she drew a basin of water, washed herself clean and fragrant, scrubbed her dirty clothes, changed into fresh ones, and then returned to her room.

Ling Yu lay with his back to her—whether he was asleep or not was unclear.

Tang Wan glanced at him, then plopped down right beside him without hesitation.

The rickety straw bed creaked in protest.

Creak—creak…

Ling Yu could feel the bed sinking heavily beside him.

Tang Wan froze and didn’t dare move anymore, afraid she’d disturb Ling Yu.
