TFWYH – Chapter 173 Routine Blame-Shifting

Transmigrated as the Villainous Fat Wife of a Yandere Husband4 min read173 of 890

Before long, someone from the An family arrived.

The two elders looked fairly honest, but their son, An Youhuai, carried himself with an arrogant air, full of entitlement.

Old Man An glared at his son, then forced a smile and stepped forward to address Tang Hongba:
“Dear in-law, Tianyang already told me everything. I know my daughter was in the wrong this time. But, as the saying goes—‘a married daughter is like water that’s been poured out.’ She was born a Tang once she married into your family, and if she dies, she’ll die as one of your Tangs. This has nothing to do with us An family folk!”

“Fine!” Tang Wan said impatiently, not in the mood to argue with the old man. “Second Brother, go report this to the authorities. Tell them the An family instructed their daughter to steal from her husband’s home. I’d like to see whether the magistrate’s office is somewhere scoundrels can play tricks.”

“Got it!” Tang Tianyang said immediately and started walking out.

Old Man An panicked and quickly grabbed Tang Tianyang, glaring at Tang Wan. “You’re already married! What business of yours is your maiden family’s affair?”

“Try finding out whether it’s my business or not! Second Brother!”

“Out of my way!”

Tang Tianyang was already furious enough to want to kill An, and there was no chance he’d show this family any mercy.

Seeing that there was no room for negotiation, Old Man An grabbed him again and no longer dared to posture. “We’ll take her away! We’ll take her away, all right?”

Stealing from her husband’s family was a serious crime.

If that charge were proven true, forget drowning An—her parents and brother would all end up in jail as accomplices.

Old Man An thought that since he had already agreed to take her away, that should settle things.

But the world doesn’t hand out forgiveness that easily.

Tang Wan spoke again, her tone cold: “And the money An stole—you’ll have to pay it back.”

“Don’t push your luck!” This time, before Old Man An could speak, An Youhuai snapped angrily, “I already spent the money! Where the hell am I supposed to get more? You rotten woman, don’t go too far! Leave yourself a way out, so we can still face each other in the future!”

Tang Wan shot him a cool glance, stepped right up to him—
—and slapped him across the face so hard that he was stunned on the spot.

By the time An Youhuai realized what had happened, he roared in rage and lunged at her.

But Tang Wan wasn’t about to let him off easily. One swift kick sent him flying. Before he could even get up, she walked over, grabbed him by the collar, and hauled him up with one hand, her eyes utterly cold.

“Keep running that filthy mouth,” she said flatly, “and I’ll cripple what’s between your legs.”

An Youhuai froze, instinctively clamping his thighs together, all the arrogance wiped clean from his face. He now stared at Tang Wan in pure terror.

Seeing that he had learned his lesson, Tang Wan tossed him toward his parents. “Pay the money—or face the authorities. Choose.”

The An couple had no choice—they could only pay.

But they didn’t have that much cash on hand. An had stolen far more than they could possibly afford to return.

Seeing that they truly couldn’t come up with the money, Tang Wan didn’t press the issue further. She took Tang Tiansheng’s divorce paper, threw it in their faces, and said coldly, “Take her—and get out.”

The An family left reluctantly. An herself looked pitifully at Tang Tiansheng, hoping he might change his mind.

But Tang Tiansheng was determined this time. He didn’t even look at her again, just turned his head away.

Once that troublesome family was gone, the three Tang men turned their eyes toward Tang Wan.

Tang Hongba frowned. “You… know martial arts?”

Tang Tiansheng blinked. “Wan’er, I remember when you were a child, you trained for a few days but gave up because it was too hard.”

Tang Tianyang nodded. “Yeah—so how do you know how to fight like that?”

Tang Wan answered solemnly, completely making it up: “My husband knows martial arts. He taught me.”

Huh?

The three men were stunned.

“That weakling—wait, you mean, brother-in-law can fight?” Tang Tianyang asked, dumbfounded.

Tang Wan nodded seriously. “My husband is very skilled.”

The three men exchanged looks.

…Turns out they had completely misjudged him!

That “weakling” actually knew martial arts!
