TFWYH – Chapter 12 Rectifying Cousin

Transmigrated as the Villainous Fat Wife of a Yandere Husband 6 min read 12 of 690 84

“Sister-in-law, I’m sorry!” Ling Yue lowered her head in shame. “I never considered your feelings. I only saw how annoying you were and never thought that you might have been hurt too.”

“You married my brother, and yet he can’t even give you a good life—he even lets you suffer.”

“We didn’t understand you, and we even thought you weren’t good enough for my brother.”

Tang Wan: ?

That came out of nowhere.

She looked at Ling Yue once, then again, and after a moment, reached out and rubbed her little head: “It’s okay!”

Even if I don’t know why you’re apologizing… comforting works, right?

Ling Yue wiped her tears and said seriously, “Sister-in-law, I’ll work hard to earn money. I’ll help you from now on and won’t let my brother bully you again.”

“Mm.” Tang Wan nodded. After thinking a moment, she added, “Thank you.”

Ling Yue burst into a smile through her tears.

This sister-in-law… she actually thanked her!

But it should be her thanking Tang Wan!

The two strolled through the streets a while longer, and on the way back, they bought some snacks for Jiang-shi and Ling Chen.

Ling Yue was still unwilling to spend money on the ox cart.

So she dragged Tang Wan to walk back.

But just as they were about to reach the village entrance, a group of people blocked their path.

The young man in front looked to be about nineteen, with a vicious expression as he glared at Tang Wan. Behind him were four or five other young men of similar age.

Ling Yue’s face went pale with fear and she gripped Tang Wan’s hand tightly. “It’s… it’s Cousin Shengzi from Uncle’s side!”

Tang Wan furrowed her brows and searched her memory to recall who this person was.

Ling Sheng—eldest son of the Ling family’s main household, and Ling Yu’s cousin.

He was a few months older than Ling Yu, and a well-known village delinquent.

Always loafing around, stealing chickens and dogs, leading a pack of local thugs doing nothing all day.

After the original Tang Wan married into the Ling family, he constantly mocked her, calling her a fat pig and calling Ling Yu a cripple.

A fat pig and a cripple, a perfect pair!

The original host had been angry but helpless.

But now? Tang Wan was not the original host.

Ling Sheng sneered coldly and said, “Fatty, getting bold now, huh? You even dared to hit my mom?”

Tang Wan frowned. “Already did. So?”

Are you seriously asking if I dare? What kind of idiot are you?

Ling Sheng was enraged by her gaze—like she was looking at a mentally challenged person. He pointed at her and shouted, “Don’t say I’m bullying you! My mom’s injuries cost at least two taels for medicine. If you don’t pay up, you’re not leaving today!”

“Then I won’t leave.” Tang Wan was extremely straightforward.

Ling Sheng choked for a second, then laughed angrily. “Fine! Don’t blame me for what happens. Boys, get her!”

With his command, the group rushed forward.

Ling Yue nearly peed herself in fear.

In the next moment, Tang Wan pushed her aside.

Then she kicked Ling Sheng, who charged in first, sending him flying. She grabbed the second attacker’s incoming arm, gave it a twist—crack—and the bone snapped audibly.

“AAAHHH—”

He screamed like a pig being slaughtered, and Tang Wan slapped him away with her other hand.

Tang Wan tilted her head slightly to dodge the third person’s punch, grabbed his wrist, and kicked his leg.

The guy collapsed to his knees instantly.

Before he could react, Tang Wan lifted him up and slammed him into the fourth person.

Clang bang crash!

This wasn’t a group beatdown—it was one-sided slaughter.

The last few youths ended up in a heap, piled like a stack of pancakes, all bruised and groaning in pain.

Ling Sheng was crushed at the bottom and couldn’t even cry.

The boys stared at Tang Wan like she was a ghost.

Ling Yue was completely stunned.

Who am I? Where am I? What is this place?

Someone please explain—how did my sister-in-law suddenly become a martial arts master?!

Tang Wan walked step by step toward the ‘pancake stack.’

They let out a scream and scrambled up, not even caring if they were limping—they just ran for their lives.

Only Ling Sheng didn’t run.

Not because he didn’t want to—he was just beaten too badly to move.

“You… what are you going to do?” Ling Sheng asked stiffly, eyes full of fear.

Tang Wan expressionlessly held up two fingers like carrots. “I’m traumatized. Mental damage compensation—two taels!”

Ling Sheng nearly coughed up blood.

You’re traumatized?!

We’re the ones who got beaten! We’re the victims! Why should we pay the person who beat us?!

“Not paying?” Tang Wan narrowed her eyes dangerously, her knuckles cracking ominously.

“W-Wait!” Ling Sheng trembled in fear, afraid of another round of beatings.

This damn fat lady hit way too hard—those chubby fists felt like iron hammers.

He felt like his organs were about to jump out of his mouth.

But… he didn’t have two taels!

Ling Sheng was nearly in tears, full of regret.

Should’ve brought more people… I underestimated her!

“I… I don’t have that much money. I only have ten copper coins…”

Tang Wan looked at him with utter disdain. “No money, and you wanna be a thug?”

Ling Sheng: ……

He didn’t understand what “be a thug” meant.

But he knew she was looking down on him.

Worst of all… he felt a bit ashamed about it.

Tang Wan didn’t care what he thought. She searched him, took the ten coins, and left with Ling Yue, swaggering away.

Ling Sheng was so angry he nearly vomited blood. He shouted after them, “Damn fatty—Tang Wan, wait! Help me up, my foot’s broken!”

Tang Wan stopped and, from a distance, raised her pudgy little hand and showed him five fingers.

Ling Sheng nearly lost his mind and yelled, “Even if you sold me, I’m not worth five taels!”

Tang Wan rolled her eyes and walked away.

“Wait! Fine! I’ll owe you, okay?” Ling Sheng really did cough up blood this time—out of sheer rage.

Although they weren’t far from the village, the path was still a bit of a walk, and sometimes snakes would appear.

He couldn’t move. He didn’t want to get bitten.

Tang Wan hadn’t planned to help him—but she didn’t want a death on her hands either.

Fine. He could owe her.

She turned back, grabbed his ankle, and said, “You owe me five taels!”

Then—crack!

The sound of bones resetting and Ling Sheng’s scream echoed at the same time.

Even Ling Yue winced at the noise.

But then Ling Sheng realized, “Huh… it doesn’t hurt anymore!”

Tang Wan didn’t even look at him. She just took Ling Yue and left.

Ling Sheng tested his foot—no pain!

He looked at Tang Wan differently now.

He quickly caught up to them, plastering on a fawning smile.

“Tang Wan, do you know martial arts?”

“Can you teach me? I’ll go wherever you tell me to fight!”

“Tang Wan, cousin-in-law…”

Ling Yue thought this was incredible. She admired her sister-in-law even more.

In just a short while, her fierce cousin had turned into a puppy, shamelessly begging Tang Wan to teach him kung fu.

Then she remembered how Tang Wan used to beat her and Ling Chen…

Ling Yue shivered.

Her sister-in-law had actually gone easy on them!

No—maybe she hadn’t even tried back then.

Otherwise, with that level of strength, she and Ling Chen might’ve already been beaten to death.
