“Little hatchling, you completed your mission perfectly. Your dads didn’t do any bad things—they all became good people. I’m very gratified for you.”
The system’s voice was gentle and kind. Its body was a white, faintly glowing ring, floating in midair.
Yinyin looked up at it. This was the first time she had ever seen Uncle System’s true form.
“Little hatchling, as a reward, what wish would you like? I can make it come true for you.”
At that moment, countless things flashed through Yinyin’s impoverished little mind: her shabby little house, the times she had no food to eat, the way she used to stare longingly at other kids going to kindergarten, with snacks to eat.
But no matter how much she thought, what she thought of the most were her dads.
Daddy was very good. They were all so nice, so wonderful.
Yes—at last, the system finally returned the memories that had once been taken away. The little hatchling remembered all of her past dads.
She closed her eyes, clasped her hands together, just like making a wish when a shooting star streaks across the TV screen. She lifted her chubby little face high, her expression full of sincerity.
“Uncle System, I wish… Daddy is so good. I hope they can come back with Yinyin.”
The system, treated as a wishing star, replied, “Alright, little hatchling, as—”
Yinyin suddenly opened her eyes and shook her head hard. Her tender little voice carried a hint of urgency. “No, no, not this wish! Uncle System, can Yinyin make another wish?”
The system was very tolerant. This little hatchling, whom it had accompanied through several worlds, had become the softest place in its heart. With a loving tone, it said, “Of course you can.”
The tiny girl closed her eyes again. “Uncle System, I hope Daddy and the others can have all their wishes come true. I hope they can be happy, really happy—happy every single day, even happier than Yinyin. They should be able to eat their fill, have snacks to eat, and live in big houses. Oh, and they should have lots and lots of money for Daddy to spend…”
At the end, Yinyin secretly opened her eyes and asked guiltily, “Uncle System, am… am I being too greedy?”
The system was speechless. It even wanted to laugh, yet couldn’t help feeling a trace of heartache. Its little hatchling was always like this—so lovable that one couldn’t help but want to present her with all the most beautiful things in the world, just to see her happy, just to see her smile.
Just like those villains—no matter how awe-inspiring and overbearing they were out there, in front of Yinyin they were always obedient, hardworking, silly dads.
Because such a sincere and adorable little hatchling deserved all the most beautiful and genuine rewards in the world.
The system lowered its voice and comforted her gently. “No, you’re not greedy. You will see this wish come true.”
My little hatchling.
At the same time—
In every small world, the villains who had been sleeping all opened their eyes at once, their minds filled with the inexplicable dream they had just had.
In their panic, they even ignored the plural in “they” and “dads,” thinking of only one thing—
A daughter?
A mechanical, cold, emotionless voice rang out in their minds, seemingly tinged with a hint of disdain. “Heard that? The little hatchling fought for a wish for you. Whatever you wish for shall come true. What do you want?”
The villains froze, leapt out of bed, and searched everywhere—inside and outside the house—but couldn’t find that chubby little pink dumpling. Panic surged in their hearts.
It was hard to imagine that people who were usually fearless, who feared neither heaven nor earth, could look like this—hands trembling, chills running down their spines.
“Who are you? Did you take my daughter?”
“Give my girl back to me!”
The villains reacted differently—some forceful, some elegant with a smile, some refined and reasonable, some irritable, some cold and aloof…
But none of that affected the system’s attitude in the slightest. It couldn’t even be bothered to hide its disdain. Wasting the little hatchling’s wish quota—trash dads!
“I’ll ask one more time. What is your wish?”
Without prior agreement, the villains answered in unison: “Find my daughter!”
The voice paused briefly. “As you wish.”
So, little hatchling, after going in circles, it still returned to the very first wish. How could you not know—you wanted your dads to come back with you, and how could your dads not want to be with you too?
“Dad is so good. I hope Dad can come back with Yinyin.”
“No, I don’t want that. Dad is so good—I hope all his wishes come true.”
“Let him eat his fill and sleep well. Let him be happy, happy every day…”
So, dear child, you will be happy too, my treasure.
The system smiled faintly. Watching those tall, handsome villains happily preparing to go look for their child, it felt a little choked up inside.
Trash villains—if it weren’t for the child’s wish, it wouldn’t bother with them at all!

Loved the story. Too bad there is no explanation about what happened to the original dad who found her in the slums.
