“I ruined your face!”

With another sharp “smack!”, the slap this time was even heavier than the one Ji Mei had received earlier. Princess Pingning gritted her teeth and hissed, “Do you still want to live?!”

The head maid who had been slapped was completely stunned. What was going on? Today Princess was unusually unpredictable! Wasn’t it she herself who had just ordered them to ruin this seductress? Why was she beating her now? Had she done something wrong again?

The head maid looked at Princess Pingning with extreme grievance. Meanwhile, Ji Mei—who had almost fainted—suddenly widened her eyes.

Was this Princess Pingning insane? One moment she was kind to her, the next she was beating and trying to kill her. Could it be some kind of intermittent madness?

“Why haven’t you released my little sister yet?!” Princess Pingning snapped angrily at the maids beside her when Ji Mei gave no response.

The maids were so frightened they immediately let go. In just a moment she had become Princess’s “little sister”—who would dare touch her now?

But as soon as the maids let go, Ji Mei’s legs went weak and she nearly collapsed to the ground.

Just as she thought she was about to fall heavily and suffer who knew how much pain, time suddenly seemed to freeze. A pair of arms tightly caught her.

She didn’t fall.

“Little sister, don’t scare your elder sister like that!” Princess Pingning cried with concern.

When Ji Mei raised her eyes again—well then—it was Princess Pingning holding her!

No way…

Ji Mei suddenly felt dizzy again.

Princess… aren’t you the one scaring me?

Several maids gathered around again. But this time they weren’t twisting or beating her. Instead they supported Ji Mei gently and respectfully, as if they were assisting their own Princess.

“Little sister, let your elder sister escort you out,” Princess Pingning said considerately, even helping Ji Mei walk toward the door.

Immediately a maid knelt on the ground while another extended her hands.

They were treating Ji Mei according to the same standards as Princess herself.

For the first time, Ji Mei could even step on a person’s back to board a carriage. To be honest, stepping on someone’s back didn’t feel particularly comfortable, but the feeling of superiority—being above others—hit her all at once.
