The Ultimate Spoiled Wife: A Hilarious Shameless Couple 4 min read 166 of 344 2

When Old Ji and Old Hua called out like that, both Ji Mei and Hua Feixue stopped talking, but the two of them still glared at each other with full-blown anger. Their eyes locked, neither willing to yield.

This wasn’t a New Year visit—this was a duel in all but name!

Old Hua seemed to sense the unfriendly atmosphere and, speaking to himself, said, “Oh, who’s this? Haven’t seen her before,” then warmly looked at Zhu Jie.

Old Ji quickly jumped in to explain, “This is my second son’s wife!”

Then he immediately turned to Zhu Jie: “Second son’s wife, come on, pay respects to your maternal uncle’s family!”

Pay respects? Yeah, right! A daughter with wealth under her knees—she worried they couldn’t handle it!

Still, she obediently stepped forward and gave a polite bow, sweetly saying, “Greetings, uncle and aunt!”

The two elders of the Hua family had expected her to kowtow when she lowered herself, but when she only bent her knees slightly, they immediately felt awkward. What kind of etiquette was this?

Old Ji also felt a bit embarrassed but, worried that he, being a country bumpkin, might be laughed at for misjudging etiquette, quickly continued with the introductions: “This is your maternal uncle’s eldest son, Hua Feiwu, and his wife. You can just call her Big Sister-in-law.”

Hua… Feiwu? Who came up with this name? Zhu Jie’s face twitched—what a cultured family!

“Greetings, elder brother and sister-in-law!” she said politely, still bending her knees slightly.

“This is your younger sister, Hua Feixue,” Old Ji continued the introduction.

Zhu Jie thought silently that whoever named these children clearly had no consistency—the name Hua Feiwu and Hua Feixue were on totally different levels!

Hua Feixue, when it came to her turn, only nodded arrogantly. Even if she acknowledged Zhu Jie, she didn’t bother with pleasantries. Forget bowing—by family status, she was supposed to kowtow to Zhu Jie, but the young lady didn’t even bother saying hello.

Zhu Jie quietly breathed a sigh of relief but still politely said, “Your name is really beautiful, little sister.”

Ji Mei, looking proud, said, “The names of the Hua siblings were all chosen by my brother. Pretty, right? Honestly, they’re so nice that I almost want to take the Hua surname—Feiwu, Feixue, so beautiful!”

Hearing this, Zhu Jie almost laughed herself sick. She glanced discreetly at Ji Yi, who remained perfectly calm—was he doing this on purpose? Did he have a grudge against the Hua eldest son?

“Come on, come on, don’t just stand here in the little room. Let’s all go to the main house to eat. Everyone must be hungry!” Old Hua cheerfully invited once again.

Leading everyone toward the main house, Old Mrs. Hua looked visibly reluctant but, out of respect for her husband, didn’t argue.

“Have you all heard? The Sun family wants to pick a bride for their young master here in our village,” Old Madam Ji suddenly couldn’t contain herself and spoke first.

“How could we not? Just yesterday I was drinking with Old Sun from the neighboring village about this! He’s directly related to the Sun family—the grandson of the third uncle of Master Sun,” Old Hua boasted. “Do you know why he invited me to drink? It’s for our Xue’er! Their Sun family has their eyes on my Xue’er!”

Old Madam Ji felt a pang in her heart. If the Sun family’s direct relatives were on Hua Feixue’s side, this was not good news.

Old Mrs. Hua, hearing her husband, glared at him but couldn’t hide a bit of pride. “Little sister, you’ve probably heard the news too, right? No worries—when our Xue’er gets married, we’ll definitely invite you to the wedding banquet!”

Old Madam Ji immediately frowned. How could they jump straight to a wedding banquet? They were speaking on their own again!

She put on a proud expression and said, “Sister-in-law must have misunderstood. The Sun family has their eyes on our Meizi, not Xue’er!”

Upon hearing this, the Hua family immediately got upset. Hua… Feiwu almost flipped the table in anger. He shot up from his seat and shouted, “What do you mean just Meizi? It’s clearly our Xue’er!”

Ji Laoda (Oldest Ji) didn’t back down either and also stood up with a thump, “It’s our Meizi!”

Seeing the two families start arguing over this, Zhu Jie couldn’t help but quietly amuse herself. Wasn’t this one of those situations where no one could just decide who belongs to whom?
