Biliuyun and Qi Shaorong were discussing books when the door suddenly burst open. Ariel stood at the doorway, full of anger.

Biliuyun frowned at the visitor.

“Ariel shouted, “Biliuyun, what charm spell did you use to seduce Hailing? For you, he even gave up the throne of the Sea Dragon Clan!”

Biliuyun smiled and said, “I don’t know either! By the time I realized it, he was already completely devoted to me. Maybe it’s just because my charm is too strong!”

Ariel grit her teeth and stared at Biliuyun, “You will ruin him!”

Biliuyun smiled wryly, “Honestly, I don’t think he’s that weak. If he were really that fragile and easy to destroy, I would have given up on him already!”

“If you truly like him, Biliuyun, then you should leave him!” Ariel insisted.

Biliuyun tilted his head and said, “Leave him? Then let him be with you? Oh no, that would be worse than death for him. I can’t just watch him jump into the fire!”

Ariel, furious and embarrassed, stared daggers at Biliuyun.

Biliuyun smoothed his hair and said, “Princess, instead of causing a scene here, why don’t you go back and figure out how to improve your own charm?”

Ariel was speechless.

After being insulted by Biliuyun, Ariel left in a rage.

Qi Shaorong looked at Biliuyun, “Are you alright?”

Biliuyun smiled, “I’m fine, just a small scene. I’m battle-hardened! Back when I ran the Luo Hua Pavilion, I dealt with plenty of meddlesome tigresses. The mermaid princess is a refined lady compared to those brutes.”

“How does the mermaid clan feel about this marriage?” Qi Shaorong asked.

Hailing’s expression shifted slightly. He looked at Biliuyun and asked, “Did Ariel come by?”

Biliuyun nodded, “Yes.”

“What did she say?” Hailing frowned.

Biliuyun shrugged, “You know, the usual stuff.”

Hailing frowned unhappily, “The mermaid clan is in crisis, and that woman still won’t quiet down. I really don’t know what she’s thinking!”

Zhuang Hao asked curiously, “Crisis? What crisis is the mermaid clan facing?”

Hailing explained, “The mermaid clan borders the Sea Clan’s forbidden zone, Yuanmu Sea. The beasts inside are vicious and mindless. Normally a natural barrier prevents them from leaving, but recently that barrier seems to be failing. Many mermaids have been attacked, and some tribes were destroyed.”

“What level are these beasts that escaped?” Zhuang Hao asked.

“Several are level eight,” Hailing said.

Zhuang Hao looked doubtful, “Only level eight? Aren’t they supposed to be Saint level?”

Hailing sighed, “No. One is suspected to be level nine, the rest level eight. The mermaid clan’s beauty contests have been thriving, but no strong mermaids have emerged.”

Zhuang Hao was puzzled, “The mermaid clan is part of the Sea Clan’s royal family, right? How could they decline so badly?”

Hailing shook his head, “Internal strife is too severe.”

“I’m back,” Ariel was met by Irina.

Ariel was furious, “Hailing insists on marrying Biliuyun. No matter what I say, he won’t listen.”

Irina frowned, a bad feeling rising, “What about the reinforcements?”

Ariel was stunned, hesitating, “I… forgot.”

“How could you forget something like that?” Irina said emotionally.

Ariel gritted her teeth, feeling wronged as she said, “When I went to the Sea Dragon clan, they were busy preparing for the wedding, and I got emotional.”

Irina sighed, “Before you left, the Empress told you clearly: your top priority was to seek reinforcements, and only then to try to stop the marriage between Biliuyun and Hailing if possible. How could you forget the main task?”

Ariel bit her lip, “Then… should I go again?”

Ariel pursed her lips, embarrassed.

“Princess, what exactly did the Sea Dragon clan say? Did they refuse?”

Ariel’s expression changed repeatedly. The Blue Tail elder exploded in anger: “Princess, did you even ask for help? I heard you just argued with Hailing’s fiancée and didn’t care about our merfolk’s survival! Is that true?”

Ariel flushed red. “The Sea Dragon clan won’t send troops, I’m helpless!”

The merfolk elder furiously said, “I told you, you weren’t fit to go. Because of you and your quarrel with Hailing’s fiancée, the Sea Dragon clan refused to help! You’re unfit to be princess!”

Ariel got upset, “Elder, what do you mean?”

“If someone else had gone, the Sea Dragon clan might have sent help. But it’s all your fault. You’re selfish!” The Blue Tail elder showed no mercy.

“Irina, that’s too much!” Irina coldly interrupted.

“I asked several guards; after you arrived, Princess, you only tried to stop Hailing from marrying Biliuyun, hardly mentioning the attacks on our people. Is that true?” another elder added.

Irina’s face darkened. Ariel angrily said, “So what if it’s true? We don’t have to rely on the Sea Dragon clan. We can manage ourselves without their approval!”

Irina wanted to silence Ariel immediately, and the elders launched a fierce verbal attack.

Though Biliuyun and Hailing’s wedding didn’t invite many guests, Haifu put great effort into decorating the palace splendidly.

The Sea Tribe’s wedding was simple.

The first part was the main event — receiving gifts. The couple thanked each guest in turn.

Qi nodded and smiled, “Yes!”

Hailan’s gaze shifted to Zhuang Hao, “I heard Zhuang Shao advanced to Saint Rank — impressive.”

Zhuang Hao smiled, “Not really.”

A guard whispered something into Hailan’s ear.

Qi asked, “What’s wrong?”

“Nothing major. The merfolk are being attacked by sea beasts from outside the forbidden zone. Princess Ariel came to seek reinforcements, but she forgot her mission and just tangled with Hailing,” Hailan said.

“Is there any update now?” Qi asked.

“Looks like things are spiraling out of control. The merfolk sent others to ask for help,” Hailan said.

Qi frowned, “Asking for help now?”

Hailan nodded, “Yes. I’ll go handle it.”

Qi smiled, “Okay…”

After all the gifts were given, the second part began — dancing.

The newlyweds opened the dance, then guests joined the floor.

The third part was the legendary feast — 360 dishes of Sea Tribe delicacies.

Zuo Yunfei frowned looking at the food, “Sea Tribe food is all fish.”

Qi Heng nodded, “Yes.”

“Poor Biliuyun, she’ll have to eat fish every day,” Zuo Yunfei said.

Qi Heng shook his head, “Not necessarily! Hailing probably won’t inherit the Sea Dragon throne, so he can go ashore with Biliuyun.”

“Oh, that sly guy! Marrying a hybrid lets him escape the fish diet. He’s not sincere with Biliuyun!” Zuo Yunfei said.
