“But, Senior, your strength isn’t what it used to be. If you keep fighting like this, it will only end in mutual destruction! Let the children evacuate first—I’ll take the Wyvern in a circle and wait for the Young Master to return!” Ting Hai urged, anxious. He couldn’t help but sweat thinking about how stubborn the man in front of him was.

Shaking his head, the old Headmaster pushed Ting Hai aside, gasping for breath. “No. That’s far too dangerous. How can you guarantee the Wyvern will only attack you? I know you’re thinking of me, but I, Luo Jiangyu, have never suffered defeat in my life. I absolutely cannot lose here! Even if it means dying together, I will fight this beast to the end!”

“Senior!” Ting Hai frowned. Realizing he couldn’t persuade him, he nodded reluctantly. “Very well, I’ll fight alongside you. This Wyvern is strong—be careful!”

“Hmm. You too, boy.” Luo Jiangyu responded. The spear in his hand trembled with Dou Qi. As the Wyvern charged, he thrust it forward in a precise strike.

Ting Hai timed his move perfectly and followed Luo Jiangyu, Blue Supreme Dou Qi flaring. The Wyvern hesitated, retreating slightly.

Raising its head sharply, the Wyvern’s eyes instantly turned blood-red as it let out a piercing scream. Its neck arched back, preparing to unleash a torrent of fire.

Luo Jiangyu’s face darkened. Grabbing Ting Hai, he shouted, “Run! It’s about to breathe fire!”

Raising his right hand, his trembling spear was enveloped in surging purple Dou Qi. The Wyvern lunged, spewing red-hot flames. Buildings touched by the sparks melted instantly—the temperature unimaginably high.

“Headmaster!” The teachers below panicked, shouting up. “Quick, help him!”

“No interference! Protect the children!” The old man’s frail mouth spat streaks of blood, dripping along his chin. Before it could hit the ground, the heat instantly evaporated it.

The flames pressed forward, step by step, while the elderly figure retreated slowly. His Dou Qi weakened to the brink of exhaustion. The spear quivered, his aged hands smoking, the skin charred black in an instant.

“Senior!” Ting Hai rushed forward, using both hands to brace his blue Dou Qi against the purple, pushing back the blazing inferno. But the gap between Purple Supreme and Blue Supreme was immense—millions of miles in comparison. Even with Ting Hai’s help, Luo Jiangyu steadily fell back.

No retreat! No retreat! That belief still drove him. His retreating figure froze. Faint purple Dou Qi still surrounded him, supporting the scorching spear. His lips were pale, his face strained, making everyone watching sweat in fear for him.

He must hold on. He must!

“Dad! Where are you? Please save Headmaster Grandpa! Save him, please!” Seeing the scene, Yimeng’s eyes welled with tears. She remembered the first day at the academy, the kind old man handing out sweet candies to her and Yizhui.

Because of their simple clothing, no one wanted to befriend them. Whenever possible, she and Yizhui sought out the Headmaster, helping him clean, listening to his stories, and sharing snacks with him.

They couldn’t just watch him die. They would not allow this ending!

“Dad!” Yimeng cried out. Her pitiful voice echoed. The surrounding beasts shuddered violently, as if disturbed by a strong force. Just as they paused, their heads were sliced off by a wave of Dou Qi.

“Yimeng, don’t cry.” Luo Jiangyu glanced at the girl. He gave a faint smile—it seemed his life today would be accounted for here.

Then, the immense pressure vanished. Deep Dou Qi flowed onto his spear, pushing the flames back. The Wyvern, trapped in its own fire, screamed and retreated.

“So, keep a certain distance from your daughter and son—they’ll unconsciously call for you. Look, it hasn’t even been long, and Dream Girl is crying? Crying makes you less pretty.” A calm, lazy voice echoed, making everyone shiver.

A silver-clad man appeared, walking with a stunningly beautiful woman. Sacred light seemed to descend, the perfect pair moving with serene grace, as if centuries had passed.

The beasts ready to attack sensed danger and began retreating, their bloodthirsty eyes now filled with fear.

“You’re here.” Coughing blood, Luo Jiangyu withdrew his spear, barely standing with Ting Hai’s support.

Helpless, Luo Mingyu smiled lightly. “Still not coming out? Watching yourself get roasted, becoming food for this beast?”

“Dad! Mom!” Yizhui and Yimeng shouted, rushing forward.

Ling Ruoxi nearly wanted to throw Luo Mingyu away. Just moments ago, she had been terrified when Yizhui blocked the Azure-Winged Wolf for Yimeng. And this mischievous man had waited so long to appear!

Quickly gathering Yimeng, Ling Ruoxi pressed a kiss to her cheek, patted Yizhui’s head, and gave a thumbs-up. “Son, well done! You’re a real man now, protecting your sister?”

“Mom! I always knew!” Yizhui said proudly, patting his arm.

“Well done, son. Dad is proud of you. You performed well—when we get home, I’ll give you an extra chicken leg.” Luo Mingyu smiled, patting Yizhui’s shoulder. Fearless even in danger, he protected his family—this was the true Luo Mingyu’s son.

Luo Jiangyu smiled faintly. “Time passes; age spares no one. I couldn’t endure to leave a perfect dream for the children.”

“Nonsense. Look at you—you’re still magnificent. But take care of your health.” Luo Mingyu glanced at the Wyvern, scoffing. “This one beast dares destroy an academy that’s stood for a thousand years? Where are the other six guardians? Seven-Star Northern Dipper Formation, capture this beast! Tonight, we roast it.”

“Pfft!” Those still in shock couldn’t help but laugh. The person who couldn’t even handle the Headmaster now commanded his guardians? Even Purple-rank practitioners would struggle against a Wyvern, yet here it was being subdued by humans!

“Present!” The six others led by Wuque appeared. Ting Hai helped Luo Jiangyu land safely, and the seven knelt before Luo Mingyu. The sight was awe-inspiring.

Who was this man?

Even Zhou Zhiwen stared, confused. The smiling figure above surrounded by the seemingly divine children—Yizhui and Yimeng—made him feel uneasy.

Luo Mingyu raised an eyebrow and whispered to Ling Ruoxi, “Capture this beast. Tonight… my lady, will you cook it? Chop it up and toss it into the pot?”

The joke annoyed many.

The seven guardians stood, forming peculiar hand seals and moving to seven directions.

The Wyvern, having just extinguished its own flames, roared in anger, wings spreading. Several cyclones spun toward the humans.

“Beast! How dare you harm anyone!” Wuque shouted. Blue light spread like rippling water, neutralizing the cyclones.

The other six took positions, their blue Dou Qi forming a water curtain that enveloped the Wyvern.

Cornered and enraged, the Wyvern reared its neck, spewing fire at the water curtain.

“Reinforce the barrier!” The seven acted almost in unison. The blue light flared, the fire turned to steam, scalding the Wyvern and forcing it to stop breathing fire. Furious, it charged the water barrier.

“Seven-Star Northern Dipper Sword Formation!” Wuque bellowed. The seven shifted, forming countless swords within the water curtain. Tens of thousands of blades shot out.

Red blood spattered across the water curtain, dripping through the confined space. The swords continued piercing its skin, forcing the Wyvern to retreat.

Everyone was stunned. They hadn’t imagined that seven Purple Supreme practitioners could subdue a Wyvern, even in this desperate situation. The formation made all the difference. Without it, even a hundred Blue Supremes would be doomed.

The trapped Wyvern could only scream. No matter its strength, inside the formation, it was helpless—pierced repeatedly by the countless swords, blood spraying everywhere.
