With a curl of his lips, Luo Mingyu reached out and patted Ling Ruoxi on her small backside, raising an eyebrow as he smiled. “No. You might still have other injuries. One more person means one more pair of eyes.”
To hell with you! Ling Ruoxi was almost driven mad by him. Putting a mirror by the edge of the bath would let her see her wounds just fine—everything he was saying was clearly just an excuse!
The moment she entered the water, Ling Ruoxi moved toward the side, determined not to give Luo Mingyu any opportunity. But the mischievous man deliberately teased her, his hands wandering as he touched her back, pretending to help scrub her.
A sensation like an electric shock spread through her body. Ling Ruoxi gripped the towel in her hands and couldn’t help shivering.
“Don’t touch me!” Feeling those large hands moving toward her buttocks, goosebumps rose all over her body. She instinctively jumped forward and turned around angrily.
But her expression changed instantly. The man standing in the water had somehow already stripped off his clothes, revealing a solid, well-built chest.
“What? We’re already husband and wife in every sense—can’t I touch you?” Luo Mingyu’s lips curved upward as he enjoyed seeing her like this. He reached out, pulled her over, and made her sit on his thigh. “Let me help you. Five days without bathing—you’re filthy all over. You need a good wash.”
“So what if I didn’t bathe for five days!” Ling Ruoxi glared fiercely at him, clutching the bath towel in front of her chest and refusing to give him any chance.
Helpless, Luo Mingyu casually gestured, and a piece of jade appeared in his hand as if by magic. He threaded it with a red cord and personally put it around Ling Ruoxi’s neck.
“What is this?” She touched the warm object. It still carried Luo Mingyu’s aura, and against her skin she could even sense a pulse of living energy within it.
Pressing a hand on her small head, Luo Mingyu lowered his head to her ear and smiled. “What do you think? You little troublemaker, who doesn’t know how to take care of yourself—I don’t want to see you get hurt again. This is a lucky charm that can protect you. Remember, no matter what, you must never take it off.”
Warm breath brushed against her ear, and Ling Ruoxi’s face flushed bright red. Gripping the pendant at her neck, she looked at him timidly. “Then… where did you take this thing from? I didn’t see you move at all. Don’t tell me you hid it in your underwear?”
“How is that possible!” Luo Mingyu was speechless. He raised his left hand and pointed to the purple ring on his index finger. “Do you know what this is?”
“Isn’t that the ring that symbolizes a single nobleman?”
“……”
Fine. Luo Mingyu admitted it—Ling Ruoxi really didn’t understand. Helplessly patting her head, he said with a light smile, “This is called a spatial storage ring. It can store items from our current space into another space. The ring is the bridge connecting the two spaces. With just a thought, the other space senses my aura, opens up, and delivers whatever I need.”
“So amazing!” Ling Ruoxi’s eyes lit up. She had heard of such things before, but never imagined they truly existed. A storage ring was extremely rare—on the Dragonwalk Continent, fewer than ten people possessed one.
“Yes. Otherwise, where do you think the clothes I tear apart come from? If they really came from my underwear, would I even wear them?” Luo Mingyu knocked lightly on her head with a smile. Then he leaned closer to the woman deep in thought, lowered his head, and kissed her fragrant neck.
Her whole body trembled as if struck by lightning. Ling Ruoxi clenched the towel in front of her chest, her face burning red. “Luo Mingyu, you…”
“Ruoxi, I missed you.” For five days, he had only been able to watch her sleep, not daring to do anything. He soaked daily in icy spring water—otherwise, he would have gone mad. Now, seeing her awake before him, the fire in his heart could no longer be restrained. He had already checked her body; she had recovered well, with no wounds left, only faint scars that would soon fade.
His rough hands wrapped around her slender waist, pulling her frail body into his arms. His burning lips moved inch by inch toward her sensitive spots.
Even her voice trembled. Ling Ruoxi hadn’t expected her body to be so uncooperative, completely at the mercy of the man before her.
The intense kisses nearly suffocated her. Hands roamed over familiar softness, her alluring eyes already veiled with mist. Like a forest sprite, she parted her lips slightly, her fair cheeks flushed crimson, collapsing weakly into his embrace.
She had no strength left, leaning limply against Luo Mingyu’s chest. Her damp cheek rested on his burning skin, and though she clearly felt the hard presence at her waist, she had no strength to push him away.
“No wonder you like this kind of setting—no surprise that scene appeared in the illusion. Since that’s the case, I’ll satisfy you now, little troublemaker.” With a wicked smile, Luo Mingyu held Ling Ruoxi and leaned back against a rock.
She shuddered, memories of that day flashing through her mind. Every hair on her body stood on end. Seeing him slowly lean down, she instinctively resisted. “Not here, Luo Mingyu…”
“You like it—so why not here?” Pulling her long legs apart, Luo Mingyu moved in, lifting her up from against the rock as his hips thrust upward.
That tight sensation had never changed, driving him nearly mad. The familiar scent, the warm embrace—everything was what he desired most.
The water splashed wildly as they moved, soaking the ground. Mist rose, blurring the shameless scene.
In the height of passion, the little woman still cried softly, begging him to be gentler and slower, her seductive demeanor like a kitten scratching at his heart.
He wished he could devour her whole, bones and all. But considering her newly recovered body, after venting his desire in the water, Luo Mingyu carried her ashore. Yet while dressing her, he couldn’t restrain himself and indulged once more.
The little seductress was already half-asleep, unaware of what was happening, only letting out soft, incoherent sounds. Taking this as her response, the satisfied man wrapped his arms around her and fell into a deep sleep.
Her waist…
It felt as if it had been run over by a car. With even the slightest movement, searing pain shot through her. This time—also the only time.
The man beside her was still sleeping soundly, as if enjoying a pleasant dream. The corners of his lips curved upward, even a trace of drool at his mouth.
Ling Ruoxi raised a hand, ready to punch him—but after a moment’s thought, her gaze fell on the ring on his left hand, gleaming brightly. Such a rare ring—she might as well take it out for a spin!
Pulling a face at Luo Mingyu, she gently pressed down on his large hand. Bit by bit, like an ant carrying food, she twisted the ring on his finger.
“Mm… Ruoxi, Ruoxi…” The man murmured in his sleep, shifting closer to her.
Ling Ruoxi’s mouth twitched violently. This man—that of his still hadn’t gone down?!
She wanted nothing more than to pull out a knife and castrate him. Carefully moving away to keep her distance from this lust-driven man, she gave a light tug, slipping the ring off his finger.
Chuckling softly, Ling Ruoxi placed her pillow into Luo Mingyu’s arms, carefully lifted the blanket, tiptoed out of bed, threw on her outer clothes, slipped on her shoes, and ran.
Perhaps he slept too deeply to notice her leaving. He only shifted unhappily, hugging the pillow and continuing to sleep.
“Yo-ho! Got it, got it! What treasures are inside this storage ring?” Rolling up Luo Mingyu’s silver-white robe, Ling Ruoxi tossed it straight into a trash heap. Such a priceless item—only she could do something like that.
Enough to make a legendary figure die of rage!
She had stolen Luo Mingyu’s clothes and even taken his storage ring. Now she wanted to see just how he’d conjure another outfit.
“Let’s see what’s inside… consciousness, consciousness…” She stared intently at the ring. After the time it takes for a stick of incense to burn, she pinched the bridge of her nose and covered her eyes.
She saw nothing at all. Didn’t they say you could retrieve items with your mind alone? Why couldn’t she do it?!
Flicking her hand, Ling Ruoxi almost wanted to throw the ring away—but remembering it belonged to Luo Mingyu, she turned back.
“Ruoxi.” A figure in blue appeared, reaching out to tap her shoulder.
Startled, Ling Ruoxi hurriedly hid the ring and looked at Fang Xu behind her. “Fang Xu—it’s you. You nearly scared me to death.”
“What’s wrong? You look so flustered. Feeling better?” With Luo Mingyu around, nothing serious should have happened. Fang Xu smiled lightly and walked with her toward the street.
Taking out the ring, Ling Ruoxi frowned. “Fang Xu, do you know what this is?”
“I do. A ring.” Seeing the pale purple ring, Fang Xu smiled helplessly. No wonder she was so nervous—she’d stolen Luo Mingyu’s ring.
Shaking her head, Ling Ruoxi raised an eyebrow and laughed. “Wrong. This isn’t an ordinary ring. Luo Mingyu told me yesterday it’s a storage ring—able to store things from this space into another space. Super powerful, totally powerful. So I want to ask you—how do you take the things inside out?”
