No cure!

Having grown up on Qiongyu Immortal Island, how could he not know this cruel truth? The island indeed possessed immortal pills and spiritual herbs capable of curing hundreds of poisons—but the poisons created there were equally terrifying, utterly without antidotes!

Yet he was unwilling. He refused to accept it!

Blood-red light suddenly flared in his dark eyes. Silver radiance surged along his right arm as he swung it forward violently.

The smug woman didn’t even have time to react before she saw the silver-white shadow flash past her eyes. The man was still standing—but…

Her body tilted slightly. A horrifying sense of weightlessness rose from deep within. She instinctively stepped forward, only to realize that the other half of her body was still standing behind her.

“Ah—!”

A shrill scream echoed as Winter Plum on the platform was split cleanly in two by the Dou Qi. Blood burst forth instantly—red blood, white pulp spraying everywhere, a sight horrifying beyond words.

The surrounding officials screamed and retreated in panic, afraid that the cursed blood might splash onto them.

Facing such a scene, Luo Song was not angry at all. Instead, he stroked his long hair and laughed lightly. “The rules of Qiongyu Immortal Island are simple—one life for one life. Since Winter Plum struck first, she should pay with her life.”

“Don’t think that saying ‘life for a life’ means I’ll go back with you. Antidote!” Even if there was no antidote, he would force one out!

He would not let the woman in his arms die. He forbade it!

He had spent so long searching for her, finally found her, finally begun to occupy her heart—how could she die?!

“There is no antidote. This is Corpse-Eroding Poison. You’ve heard of it—within one incense stick’s time, the poisoned person turns into a pool of blood,” Luo Song explained calmly.

At last, Nangong Mo could no longer endure it. He slammed the table and stood up. “Corpse-Eroding Poison?! That’s used on fugitives! What right do you have to use it on a woman!”

“Oh? Prince Nangong is angry?” Luo Song chuckled. “This woman has bound Luo Mingyu’s heart and kept him here. That crime alone warrants Corpse-Eroding Poison. Oh? Time’s almost up—she’s about to turn into blood.”

His gaze fell upon the incense that was nearly burned out, then onto Luo Mingyu’s arms.

The woman with blood still at the corner of her lips suddenly opened her eyes. Murderous intent erupted from her blood-red pupils like a slaughter-hungry demon. With a bang, she shoved Luo Mingyu away.

“It hurts… it hurts so much… Luo Mingyu, Luo Mingyu…”

One hand clawed at her throat, her small fists pounding against the stone floor. Her fingernails scraped the ground, leaving bloody trails.

Her frail body trembled violently. Her face was deathly pale as she curled into a ball, clutching her stomach. She retched but couldn’t vomit. Veins bulged on her arms as she slammed her head against the ground.

“Ruoxi! Ruoxi, how are you? Hold on!”

Luo Mingyu panicked. He hurriedly poured his Dou Qi into her body, trying to suppress the poison.

But the moment his purple-level Dou Qi entered her, it was repelled by another force. He groaned and staggered back three steps before steadying himself.

Pfft!

A mouthful of black blood sprayed out as Ling Ruoxi collapsed, eyes half-closed, purple Dou Qi swirling around her body.

The strange pale-purple sigil appeared once more on her forehead, and in that instant, the rampant poison fell eerily silent.

“How is that possible?!”

Luo Song’s expression changed drastically. He subconsciously stepped back, staring at the motionless woman. Corpse-Eroding Poison had never failed—no matter how powerful the expert or how ancient the beast, once an incense stick burned out, they would dissolve into blood.

Yet now—

The incense had long since burned to ash. Time had passed. And the woman on the ground had not turned into blood—her wounds were even healing.

“Ruoxi… Ruoxi…”

Luo Mingyu quickly supported her, his heart finally settling. Thinking back to her injuries in the forest that healed on their own after a few days, he knew her body had regenerative abilities—but he had never imagined they were powerful enough to neutralize Corpse-Eroding Poison.

Interesting.

Watching her, Luo Song laughed. “So this body still has value. Even Corpse-Eroding Poison couldn’t kill you. Fine then—Luo Mingyu, take this woman with you back to the island.”

“Heh. Take her back so you can dissect her?” Luo Mingyu sneered, clenching his fist. Seeing that she was safe, he ignored Luo Song and turned to leave.

The banquet ended with one dead and one gravely injured, and the conflict only deepened.

“Ruoxi?”

As Luo Mingyu passed him, Fang Xu paused, eyes flickering as he looked at the departing figure.

So that’s why. She’s with him.

Turning to the chaos on the platform, Fang Xu rotated the ring on his finger and smiled faintly.
“Luo Song, Young Master—do you still remember me?”

“Oh? Isn’t this the wealthy Fang Xu?” Luo Song lifted his sleeve and sat down.

But Fang Xu didn’t walk toward him. Instead, he went to Nangong Mo and smiled.

“I came today to welcome Young Master Luo Song—but also on personal business. If you intend to harm Ruoxi, I don’t mind cutting off all maritime trade with Qiongyu Immortal Island. From now on, anything your island needs—we will provide nothing.”

A gentle breeze rose, carrying the scent of earth into the room. April was a season of renewal—tender leaves filled the branches, and fish played in the small pond.

A soft groan escaped Ling Ruoxi’s lips as pain shot through her back, nearly making her cry out. She frowned and reached behind her.

She remembered Winter Plum’s final sneak attack—the poisoned Dou Qi. She didn’t know what poison it was, only that at the last moment, it felt as if her heart’s blood had shattered, plunging her into chaos.

She survived that kind of poison?

Looking at her hands, Ling Ruoxi was speechless. Her palms were scraped raw, her fingertips bloody—but was it really necessary to wrap both hands completely?

She shifted and tried to sit up—then froze in horror at her reflection.

The person in the mirror was wrapped so tightly she looked like a mummy.

Was this really necessary?!

She hopped off the bed like a rabbit and bounced toward the door.

Bang!

“Ruoxi, I brought the medicine, you—”

Luo Mingyu kicked the door open while carrying a pile of medicine. Seeing the empty bed, his face changed instantly. “Ruoxi? Where are you?! Someone dared take her right under my nose, I—”

“Get lost!”

Ling Ruoxi stiffly kicked the door. She nearly got smashed flat—worse, the door slammed straight into her chest!

Medicine scattered everywhere. Luo Mingyu hurriedly held the door, seeing Ling Ruoxi clutching her chest and rubbing it repeatedly. He quickly pressed his hand onto the soft flesh. “Does it hurt here? It’s okay, I’ll help you rub it…”

Ling Ruoxi’s mouth twitched. She slapped his hand away and hopped to the table. “You wrapped me like this—are you trying to kill me?!”

“How could I?” Luo Mingyu said innocently. “You were unconscious for five days. I followed the physician’s instructions. Your injuries were severe—I had no choice but to wrap you like a rice dumpling.”

Five days?

Ling Ruoxi angrily tore at the bandages. Layer after layer came off—still more underneath. Furious, she grabbed scissors and cut straight down.

Rip!

The woman emerged from the bandages—but—

Luo Mingyu, watching from the side, felt a hot stream rush from his nose. His eyes nearly turned into hearts.

She was too seductive.

For convenience in applying medicine, he had stripped her completely, applied ointment, and wrapped her carefully. Now that the bandages were off, her curvy figure was revealed—gauze hanging loosely, barely covering top and bottom. Her snow-white body was dotted with traces of black medicine. Her full breasts stood proudly, her flat stomach enticing, and the mysterious triangle below faintly visible through dark curls.

Her long legs stepped forward against the white floor. Black hair danced with her movements. Yet the foolish woman seemed utterly unaware, yawning and stretching lazily.

With that movement, the gauze on her chest slipped downward. The hazy beauty was about to be fully revealed—her jade-like body stunning beyond belief.

“Waaah!”

Ling Ruoxi snapped back to reality. Seeing the man bleeding from the nose, eyes bulging, she looked down—

Instantly, her face flushed crimson. She crossed her arms over her chest and squatted down.
“Damn you! Believe it or not, I’ll gouge your eyes out! You stripped me while I was unconscious—I’ll cut your little thing off and feed it to dogs!”

“Pfft!”

Luo Mingyu hurriedly wiped his nose and turned around. “Just some internal heat. I didn’t see anything. And you’ve got nothing worth looking at.”

Then he suddenly thought of something and turned back.

“The physician said once you woke up, you needed to cleanse your body before the next treatment.”

Grabbing her wrist, he scooped Ling Ruoxi into his arms.

“What are you doing?! Put me down! I can bathe myself!”

Ling Ruoxi struggled furiously. Bathing was something she could do on her own—why should she let this man help her?!
