“Is that Luo Mingyu?” How could that guy have so much stamina? Last night, they had gone at it until midnight at least, yet this morning he was already up, pretending as if he hadn’t been there at all.

Absolutely insane!

Yizhu scratched his head and nodded. “So Uncle is called Luo Mingyu, huh? But I still like calling him Uncle. Mommy, are you okay? Are you feeling unwell?”

“I’m fine. Mommy just drank too much last night, my whole body feels weak. Some rest and I’ll be fine,” Ling Ruoxi said with a faint smile. There was no way she could tell the child that she had been… used by that beast last night. Thinking about it, she clenched her hands tightly. If she ever ran into Luo Mingyu again, she would definitely—

“You’re already up so early? I went to the kitchen but didn’t see the cook, so I made some food myself. Come down and try it, see if it suits your taste. After last night, you must be hungry,” Luo Mingyu said, smiling gracefully. He carefully placed the bowl and chopsticks and scooped some rice porridge.

Indeed, a man who could both dominate in bed and cook in the kitchen was extremely rare. But! Ling Ruoxi really didn’t want to see a man like that again! Even seeing the table full of food, as long as it was prepared by Luo Mingyu, she completely lost her appetite.

“I’m not eating!” she gritted her teeth. Even though her stomach was growling, she had no idea what he might have put in the food, and the aroma was tempting.

Meanwhile, Yimeng tilted his ear, listening. “Mommy, your stomach is growling. Why aren’t you eating? Come eat with us.”

“Yeah! It’s Uncle’s cooking—we have to eat!”

Ling Ruoxi was nearly dragged down the stairs by the two kids. Heaven knew how much her waist hurt. Her legs felt like cotton, unable to support her weight, yet she gritted her teeth and forced herself to stand.

“Sit.” Luo Mingyu said nothing more, pushing the thin porridge toward her. The two children also sat, picking up buns with chopsticks. Even a small pile of pickles tasted delicious to them, and they kept flattering Luo Mingyu.

“Here, eat a bun.” Luo Mingyu smiled faintly, looking at the little woman still sulking. He pressed her hand and placed the bun in it. “Don’t let your stomach go hungry. Whatever you need, we can talk about later.”

“Finally, some sense!” Ling Ruoxi gritted her teeth and bit into the bun. Surprisingly, it was much tastier than the ones sold outside—soft and fluffy, just like Earth’s buns.

Though she initially didn’t want to eat, Ling Ruoxi, against her stomach’s protests, managed to eat four buns and drink two bowls of porridge, patting her belly contentedly and burping.

“Mommy, when did you get so hungry?” Even Yizhu, munching on a bun, widened his eyes and swallowed. Mommy really was starving.

“Uh…” She wouldn’t admit that she had restrained her appetite to maintain her figure, and after being completely frustrated by Luo Mingyu yesterday, she had unconsciously eaten so much.

Yimeng nudged Yizhu and whispered, “It’s not that she can eat. It’s just that Uncle’s cooking is delicious. Mommy just ate a little more because it’s tasty. Look, I’m on my second bun already!”

“…” Yizhu was speechless. Somehow, even Yimeng’s ability to flatter had improved.

Luo Mingyu chuckled quietly. Once the three finished, he got up to clean the dishes. “I’ve already told the servants to clean your room. Yesterday’s… mess is all over the bed. You wouldn’t expect them to handle that, would you?”

“You!” In an instant, Ling Ruoxi’s face flushed crimson. She widened her eyes, her hands clenched, not knowing what to say. The mess… wasn’t that from this man? How was she supposed to clean that disgusting room?!

The two kids were sweet-talking Luo Mingyu, tugging at Ling Ruoxi’s hand. “Mommy, you were drunk last night. You probably threw up all over Uncle’s bed. Go clean it up, or Yizhu and I will help you.”

“Yes, Mommy! You said to take care of your own things. If you’re not feeling well, we, Yizhu and I, will clean it!” They ran toward her.

Fortunately, Ling Ruoxi reacted quickly. She gritted her teeth against the pain, grabbed the two kids, and said awkwardly, “When has Mommy ever needed you to worry? Go help your Uncle, leave Mommy’s things to me. The room smells awful anyway.”

“Ah? Master said that if Mommy drank, we could spank you!” Yizhu playfully smacked her bottom.

Her face changed instantly, almost toppling over. Luckily, Luo Mingyu noticed immediately and swiftly moved, holding her by the waist and pulling her into his arms.

He had truly hurt her yesterday; otherwise, she wouldn’t be so weak.

Yizhu froze, staring at his own hand. “Do I have some kind of martial arts skill? Mommy, are you okay? Don’t scare me!”

“Ruoxi is fine. Go find Huangfu Xuan; I’ll help her upstairs to rest,” Luo Mingyu said with concern. Washing dishes was nothing compared to taking care of his woman.

He scooped Ling Ruoxi into his arms and strode toward the bedroom.

“Feeling better?” After all, she was a physician herself. How could she not have medicine ready?

Looking at the messy room, Luo Mingyu frowned slightly and had Ling Ruoxi rest on a nearby chair. He began tidying the bedding but noticed a streak of red.

His heart thumped. He realized she had been injured. Six years untouched, only her first experience, and last night he had been too impatient, angered by her resistance, never considering her feelings.

The scattered bloodstains ran from the center to the upper part of the bed—traces of her struggle. Why hadn’t he controlled himself? Why hadn’t he stopped?

No mood to clean further, Luo Mingyu extended his right hand. Purple Dou Qi swept across, clearing the bedding completely. A fresh set was laid out with another sweep.

“Still hurts?” he asked softly, sitting beside her, holding her frail hand. His heart ached.

Weakly staring at the culprit before her, Ling Ruoxi didn’t even want to speak. Her body felt shattered, especially between her legs, as if his presence was still inside her, making it hard to breathe. Every step hurt like hell.

“Lie down. I’ll help you apply the medicine,” Luo Mingyu said, his heart bleeding. He gently laid her on the neat bed, took out the ointment for bruises, and sighed at her weak figure.

Ling Ruoxi had no strength to resist or speak. She let him undo her clothing and apply the cool ointment over her body. The cold relief eased some of the pain.

But his wandering hand seemed unsatisfied, rubbing her lower abdomen as he applied the medicine downward.

“What are you doing?!” Ling Ruoxi suddenly snapped awake, wary. She was already in this state—what more did he want?

Luo Mingyu frowned and shook the ointment. “I’m applying the medicine. I thought it necessary to rub a bit here, so…”

“No need! Get out!” Ling Ruoxi said coldly. Applying medicine in such a private place? There was no way she would let him do that!

Seeing her embarrassment, Luo Mingyu frowned and placed the ointment on the bedside. “Then remember to apply it yourself. Call me if it hurts.”

“No need.” She had endured far worse pain; this was minor in comparison.

Once he left, Ling Ruoxi struggled to sit up and apply the ointment to her injured areas.

“Uncle! Uncle! Is Mommy better?” Yimeng blinked at the person who came out, clueless how drunk Mommy had been last night.

Smiling, Luo Mingyu patted Yimeng’s head. “Your Mommy is fine. Just rest a bit more.” He then noticed a gift below. “Did someone come by earlier?”

“Uncle is so smart! That annoying Crown Prince came earlier. Yimeng and I ignored him. He sat for a while and left. Hmph! Such a disgusting man—I won’t ever let him wrong the woman I’m engaged to!” Yizhu puffed up his chest, glaring at the door.

Luo Mingyu chuckled. “Alright, alright. Be a good man; don’t toy with women. And Yimeng, find a good man too. Don’t let anyone bully you.”

“Got it, Uncle. You’re as nosy as Master. I’m only five; I’ve got time before getting married,” Yimeng teased, making a face as she ran downstairs.

Watching the lively kids, Luo Mingyu shook his head. His black eyes flickered sharply toward the roof.

A dark figure stood there, arms crossed, holding a dagger, seemingly spying. In the moment Luo Mingyu turned, the figure vanished without leaving a trace.

Who was that? Luo Mingyu felt a chill. Was there someone else left behind—an escort perhaps?

Meanwhile, in the palace, Ling Huiru gritted her teeth. Now everyone in the palace knew: on her wedding night, the Crown Prince had chased Ling Ruoxi, while she slept alone.

The former attendants and maids who once respected her now pointed and whispered. She finally understood the feeling of falling from the sky to the ground.
