With a flick of his right hand, the Silver Moon Sword appeared in Luo Mingyu’s grasp. He casually stabbed it into the ground and smiled faintly. “Do you remember what this is?”

“Of course I remember! It’s the sword I gave you back then,” Ling Ruoxi said instinctively, without thinking.

Luo Mingyu, however, shook his head. “No. This sword was originally mine. I told you before—I was once betrayed, drugged. It was a pure-hearted woman who saved me. But by the time I returned, she had already disappeared. Ruoxi… don’t you understand?”

“What?” Her brain went blank. Ling Ruoxi stared at him, recalling that night six years ago. When she had traveled here, she had encountered that scene. The man’s face had been obscured, and she could only feel the lean, powerful body of a man whose sheer strength had made her faint.

The Silver Moon Sword belonged to him—there was no doubt. And now Luo Mingyu admitted it was his. Which meant…

Her expression darkened. Clenching her fists, her phoenix-like eyes locked onto him, teeth gritted. “So that’s it… you’re the one who… planted your seed in me that night, weren’t you? You… disgusting man!”

“Huh?” Luo Mingyu blinked in surprise. Something felt off—usually, women would throw themselves at him in moments like this. Was his charm not enough to attract her?

“Not a chance! I said that if I ever found that man, I’d cut off his little thing so he’d never be a man again! And now you just hand yourself to me? Don’t blame me for being ruthless!” Ling Ruoxi grabbed her axe and shouted, swinging it toward Luo Mingyu.

This… what on earth was going on?! Luo Mingyu was dumbfounded. He had no idea how to respond. Quickly, he dodged to the side. The floor already bore the deep mark of her axe. With a wave of his right hand, a purple Dou Qi barrier sealed the room. No matter how much chaos Ling Ruoxi caused, no one outside would hear a thing.

“You think you can bully me? I’ll chop that thing of yours off! Stand still!” she roared, glaring at him, axe raised.

Luo Mingyu couldn’t help laughing at the absurdity. When did women become like this—ready to hack a man down? Who would give her happiness if she kept doing this?

With a flick of his right hand, Luo Mingyu didn’t dodge this time. He grabbed her axe mid-swing and smiled faintly. “Ruoxi, I know it’s my fault I didn’t tell you. But it’s not too late. Thank you… for raising our child.”

“Get lost! Who the hell asked for your apology? You… dead man, why didn’t you come find me on Liuli Island?” The memory of him six years ago surged back. Even though he was a man of high status, why had he paid attention to her, a nobody? Now she realized—it was because of that night.

If he thought she was weak and needed pity, he was dead wrong! Ling Ruoxi was no delicate woman. She didn’t need his pity.

“You fool.” Luo Mingyu gently pressed her head against his chest, smiling faintly, holding her close. “There were other matters on Qiongyu Island. Besides, Liuli Island forbids all outsiders. I snuck over a few times and nearly got caught by Zuo Mingfeng. I had to leave without seeing you.”

“Don’t think I’ll listen just because you say some sweet words! Get away!” Ling Ruoxi struggled violently, setting down her axe and brushing her hair from her face. In her anger, she had forgotten the veil. The white silk slipped down, revealing her flushed, radiant face once more.

Her beauty struck Luo Mingyu. He drew in a sharp breath. She was stunning—pure yet alluring, breathtaking in every sense. Especially when angry, those upward-slanting phoenix eyes sparked endless imagination.

Beautiful. Truly beautiful.

Wiping the sweat from her cheek, Ling Ruoxi looked at him, noticing his absorbed gaze. She froze, scanning him from head to toe. Nothing seemed off—yet she frowned. “Hey, what are you doing?”

“Hehe, what do you think? A man and woman alone in a room… naturally, we should do something unusual.” His lips curled, mischievous. He tugged at his waistband, eyes locked on her familiar form.

These past days had nearly driven him insane. So close yet forbidden, that frustration was unbearable. He wanted her, entirely, leaving her no chance.

A cold breeze seemed to brush over Ling Ruoxi. Goosebumps rose on her skin. She saw him advancing, and her whole body shivered. She dashed to the door, but the barrier had already been set—leaving was impossible.

“Help! Luo Mingyu, I was wrong! I shouldn’t have come with this axe! Calm down!” She blushed in shame, remembering that night. Even knowing he was the same man, she was still an innocent girl—she wasn’t ready for this directness.

“Calm down? How can I calm down? Six years… do you want me to wait another six?” His sword-like brows arched. Swiftly, he removed his clothes, revealing a perfect inverted-triangle physique.

His stunning face was otherworldly, hair flowing loosely, chiseled chest and eight-pack abs exposed, the black area beneath subtly visible. Long legs stood firm, the dark red briefs already conspicuously tight.

“Pervert!” Ling Ruoxi muttered, noticing the briefs. Was it his zodiac year or what?! But there was no time to linger. She swung her axe furiously at the door.

Bang! The axe struck, sending a jolt through her arms. Her weapon nearly slipped—but the door stood firm.

She felt the array’s power. Damn this trap again! She turned toward the bathhouse, but the man was faster.

Like a phantom, he blocked her path, pinning her hands. With a single motion, he restrained her.

“Hey! Luo Mingyu, do you have some S&M tendency? Let me go!” Ling Ruoxi’s tears nearly fell. Memories of the last time terrified her, and she hoped to escape this encounter.

Luo Mingyu, however, smiled darkly. In his black eyes gleamed a flash of mischief. He cupped her chin, softly smiling. “On Qiongyu Island, there are three treasures: pearls, fine wine, and women. Every woman serves a man… but none captivated me… except you.”

“Don’t joke! My body’s terrible! I’ve had two kids! How could I compare to the island’s ‘fairies’? You wouldn’t be interested, so let me go!” She struggled, but found his grasp impossible to break.

His brows lifted, smiling. “Who said your figure is bad? You’re the only one who interests me. How could I let you go? You’re not a fairy now—but soon, you will be. Six years… hasn’t your body ever thought of me?”

Rough hands slid over her soft body. His actions were rough, despite the gentle façade. Like a dam breaking, he tore her clothes apart.

“No! Stop!” She backed toward the door like a scared mouse, face pale, shaking her head frantically.

Seeing her fear, Luo Mingyu softened slightly, holding her close, warming her with his body, gently patting her back. “I know it’s my fault. I scared you. I won’t let you suffer again. Become mine, and I will make up for my past mistakes. Okay?”

“No! Let me go! I… I’m scared!” Ling Ruoxi panicked, helpless, looking to him for salvation.

Luo Mingyu, smiling faintly, carried her to the bed. “Only when you fear me will you remember me. Only then will you know who your man is, who you can rely on. Hate me—that proves your love for me!”

“Luo Mingyu! You’re such a pervert! I said I’m scared! I won’t! Forcing others… what kind of man are you?” she yelled, glaring.

He arched his brows, smiling. “Yes, I’m a pervert. I like forcing people. What, you don’t want it? Why are your legs clamped?”

Her pale face flushed crimson. She tried moving back, but the bed was large—there was nowhere to go.

Luo Mingyu, unhurried, removed his pants and lowered his head toward her lips.

“Get lost!” Eyes wide, she kicked his abdomen.

But he was prepared. Catching her smooth leg, he flipped over, his full weight pressing onto her.

“You’re beautiful… like a fairy. Has anyone ever told you that?” He lightly caressed her familiar cheek, smiling softly.

What? Ling Ruoxi’s heart skipped. In that stunned moment, he grabbed her chin and kissed her.
