“Bang!”

Her entire body was sent flying by the force, crashing hard onto the ground. Ling Ruoxi felt her blood and qi churn violently, nearly spitting out a mouthful of blood. Before she could even react, the ground trembled again—a bulky figure burst forward, charging straight at her like a bolt of lightning.

I’m done.

Who would’ve thought that I, Ling Ruoxi, with a lifetime of prestige to my name, would not only be forcibly violated while drunk, but now end up being killed by a bear? If this ever gets back to the organization, they’d probably laugh themselves to death…

“Whoosh!”

The dark shadow in front of her rapidly expanded. Ling Ruoxi lifted her chin with righteous resolve, closed her eyes, and calmly accepted what was coming, waiting for the inevitable.

Yet—The bone-piercing pain never came.

Instead, she felt a sudden chill all over her body. She instinctively opened her eyes, then froze in shock.

Standing right in front of her was a man dressed in snow-white robes, still holding the posture of drawing a bow. The hands gripping the bow and arrow shimmered faintly with a green glow, his cold gaze fixed on the lifeless brown bear.

But Ling Ruoxi wasn’t stunned by how elegant or impressive his archery was—she was horrified by his outfit!

Damn it!

Have you ever seen a man wearing ancient robes in the twenty-first century?

Have you ever seen a man with long hair in the twenty-first century?

Have you ever seen someone using a bow and arrow to deal with a bear in the twenty-first century?

If you had, it would only be on television. What was happening right now was completely beyond her imagination.

The man seemed to notice Ling Ruoxi as well. His indifferent gaze swept over her, but a faint flush suddenly spread across his cheeks. He quickly cleared his throat, turned his eyes aside, and asked, “Miss, are you all right?”

Wait—Her mind went blank.

Ling Ruoxi suddenly dashed forward, grabbed the man’s hand without another word. Startled, the man stepped back abruptly, nearly pushing her away.

“Brother—sir—handsome guy—what did you just call me? Miss? No, where is this place? Are you filming a historical drama or something?”

“What?” The man frowned slightly. “Miss, you… you should cover yourself first. My surname is Ye. My name is Ye Ningfeng.”

The moment he lowered his head and caught sight of the snow-white curves swaying beneath her thin dress, a rush of heat surged through his body. A hot stream shot straight to his head. Panicking, he quickly took off his outer robe and draped it over Ling Ruoxi.

As the young master of the Ye family, Ye Ningfeng often moved about this area hunting magical beasts. But he had never seen a woman dressed so scantily.

Ling Ruoxi’s lips twitched. She couldn’t care less about anything else. Seeing him about to turn away again, she moved faster than he did, planting both hands on his cheeks. Her dark eyes gleamed sharply.

“Tell me—what era is this? And where exactly are we?”

“This…” Could she be a secluded cultivator? Ye Ningfeng coughed lightly, then dismissed the thought. If she truly were a reclusive cultivator, how could she fail to deal with such a small brown bear?

“Miss, this is the Dragon-Walking Continent, the Bamboo Sea of Beining Kingdom. How did you end up here? The Bamboo Sea is a place where magical beasts roam freely. You—”

His gaze fell on Ling Ruoxi’s body, and his hands trembled.

Normally a man of few words, he had inexplicably saved this woman today. And now… as a man, how could he not recognize those red marks? They were traces left after intimacy. Yet there was no other man in sight.

“Dragon-Walking Continent… Beining Kingdom… Bamboo Sea?” These unfamiliar terms echoed in Ling Ruoxi’s mind. For the first time, the face that had never once shown fear was filled with panic.

This place really didn’t seem to be China. China wouldn’t have air this fresh, and—

That green glow earlier was definitely not a projection or explosive effect.

Had she… transmigrated?

Recalling the plots from novels and comparing them to her current situation, could it be that the moment she transmigrated, she was already—

Goosebumps erupted all over her body. Ling Ruoxi shivered violently and hurriedly looked down at herself. This body was more delicate than her own, lacking her fiery curves. The thin arms were covered in bruises, and there was a lingering, unbearable scent of sexual activity.

Damn it!

Her luck couldn’t possibly be this bad, could it?

For a moment, Ling Ruoxi wanted to howl at the sky. Her fists clenched tightly. What kind of people had the original owner of this body offended, to be violated and then dumped in a place like this? The Bamboo Sea—where magical beasts roamed. Clearly, those people had never intended for this girl to make it back alive.

“Did you… run into bandits?” Ye Ningfeng asked softly.

Given Ling Ruoxi’s current state, he had no idea how to comfort her. A woman who had lost the most important thing she had—how could she remain calm?

Ling Ruoxi’s mouth twitched. She pulled the robe tighter around herself and rolled her eyes.

“Can’t you tell I was sexually assaulted? That damn bastard—if I ever find him, I’ll cut off the bird between his legs! Bastard, sowed his seed and ran. If I don’t deal with you, then I won’t be Ling Ruoxi!”

Pfft!

Ye Ningfeng’s handsome face completely twisted in shock.

No matter how he thought about it, he never imagined she’d say something like that.
Were those really words a young woman was supposed to say?
