“Come on, Brother Mingyu, can’t you let me eavesdrop a little longer? I just got here and you caught me…” With a hint of sulkiness, the woman in simple clothes climbed through the window and into the room.
And the familiar face before her—was the same one she had seen before. Ling Ruoxi knew that it was following him that day which had revealed Luo Mingyu’s other identity: the Evil King of Evil King Island.
Baili Ling smiled lightly, like a cheerful little sparrow. She took two or three steps toward Luo Mingyu, casually grabbing his hand. Raising her head, she said, “Brother Mingyu, Ling’er hasn’t gone shopping with you in so long. How about you accompany me now, hmm?”
“You, ah… Ruoxi is still weak. Next time,” Luo Mingyu replied with an affectionate smile, stroking Baili Ling’s little head.
And that gesture—something that belonged only to her—he had just done for another woman! Something inside Ling Ruoxi felt like it was about to explode. She glared at Baili Ling, but before her gaze could reach, she quickly looked away.
“She doesn’t seem to be in any danger anyway. She’s not a little child. Brother Mingyu, just spend some time with Ling’er, okay?” The one holding Luo Mingyu’s wrist began to act coquettishly. Her sweet voice made goosebumps rise all over.
Ling Ruoxi rolled her eyes. With Baili Ling acting like that, there was no way her Luo Mingyu would follow her!
“Alright then, Ruoxi, rest first. I’ll come back soon.” But Luo Mingyu’s words were like plunging Ling Ruoxi into an abyss.
She watched helplessly as the two of them—hand in hand—happily walked away. Her lungs almost exploded with fury. She furiously rolled up her sleeves, stared at the door, and kicked her shoes across the room. “Damn it! Luo Mingyu, are you even human? I’m sick, I just woke up, and you go out with another woman!”
Sitting quickly in front of the vanity, Ling Ruoxi stared at her reflection and nearly jumped out of her skin. The face in the mirror was pale, drained of color, almost frightening. Dark eye circles, swollen bags—this was nothing like her former self.
Her messy hair hung down like a ghost. No wonder Luo Mingyu went out with that woman. Now she looked like a scruffy ghost herself!
Hastily pushing her hair aside, Ling Ruoxi turned to the makeup laid out before her. Nodding in determination, she began to apply it—her speed and precision were remarkable.
It wasn’t until midnight that the silver-white figure returned to the room. But upon seeing the scene before him, his heart nearly jumped out of his chest.
Before him, the woman sat gracefully amidst a table of prepared food. She wore a revealing long dress, her shoulder garment slipping down to her arms. The light green strapless top couldn’t contain her proud curves—the fair, smooth skin beneath looked irresistible.
What made Luo Mingyu even more flustered was that this woman, who normally refused makeup, now wore a light touch. The subtle enhancement highlighted her pure beauty while adding just a hint of color and charm.
Her hair fell softly along her fair skin, like ink on white jade, making one want to lift it. Her lips, brushed with red, resembled freshly ripened cherries, tempting one to kiss them.
Drawing a deep breath, Luo Mingyu felt heat rising. Carefully, he stepped forward and reached to adjust her clothing, worried she might catch a chill.
But this small motion seemed to disturb her. Her head tilted slightly downward, lips parted, eyes still sleepy. She looked at him like a kitten, rubbing her eyes. “You’re back… have you eaten?”
“Mm, I have. And you?” He stroked her head gently, curling her hair with one hand.
Then, unexpectedly, she wrapped her arms around his waist, her soft body pressing against him, carrying a faint fragrance. Heat surged within him. Luo Mingyu drew a sharp breath, suppressing his rising desire.
“What’s wrong?” This little thing was acting so unusual today. Normally, she avoided him, and now she came to him willingly.
Pressing against his chest, she lifted her head. “Nothing… I just missed you. Did you miss me?”
What? Luo Mingyu’s jaw nearly dropped. She must be drunk… or something’s wrong. Who says things like that?
“You’re tired. Go wash up and sleep.” Patting her back, he gently pulled her clothing back up to prevent her from getting cold.
Yet, the woman in his arms, for some unknown reason, stood abruptly, looked down at him sitting on the bed, and deliberately shut the door.
A cold breeze swept through, and Luo Mingyu thought, What’s wrong with this little demon? Just as he thought that, she stepped forward, placing her hands on her bun, gently pulling her black hair down.
Her hair cascaded like a waterfall over her shoulders. She walked toward Luo Mingyu, hands resting on her waistband, slowly undoing her clothing.
Her graceful figure revealed itself. Luo Mingyu instinctively pressed his hand to his face, feeling a reaction in another part of him.
If Ling Ruoxi without removing her clothes was a stunning beauty, now she was a true seductive night spirit.
She removed the light green outer robe. Beneath, she wore a red dress with delicate cutouts, hugging her figure perfectly. Her smooth white legs were exposed from under the dress.
If someone from Earth saw this, they would recognize it as sexy lingerie-inspired attire, though less refined. The effect? Absolutely achieved.
Spotting his reaction, Ling Ruoxi smiled slyly, stepping closer to Luo Mingyu.
But the man on the bed braced himself, trying to push her away. The woman smiled faintly, tracing his Adam’s apple and whispered, “Do you want me, Mingyu?”
Her voice was soft and shy, yet a mix of allure and innocence.
If he didn’t respond now, he truly wasn’t a man. Feeling her enticing body press against him, desire surged… Luo Mingyu nearly lost control.
He lunged forward, almost trying to tear off her dress and claim her completely, but…
He restrained himself, hugging her waist and planting a firm kiss on her lips. Then, suppressing his desire, he said, “Sleep… you’re too tired today.”
“Luo Mingyu!” Ling Ruoxi nearly roared. All her careful preparation—why? After he went out with another woman, he was now cold toward her?
The audacity! Who had shamelessly courted her before… forget it!
She kicked him away, grabbed her clothes, put them on, and stormed out. This room had her, not him, or vice versa.
“Ruoxi! Ruoxi!” Luo Mingyu had no idea what had just happened. Seeing her leave in a huff, he ran his hands through his hair. I must be possessed. Before, he had practically wanted her to tease him like this… and now, he resisted!
“Bang!” She kicked open the door and sat silently in the chair.
The noise nearly made the person on the bed jump up. “My goodness, junior sister, what are you doing? At this hour… why like this?”
Seeing Ling Ruoxi, Tang Yinhai breathed a sigh of relief, bringing a mirror closer.
“Ah! Who are you?” Ling Ruoxi’s hair stood on end as she saw her reflection. Black eyeliner smeared, blush everywhere, lips painted red by Luo Mingyu’s kiss… she looked like a female ghost.
No wonder Tang Yinhai had been startled. Anyone would be!
Wiping her face with a damp towel, Ling Ruoxi, pale as a ghost, sat angrily in the chair.
Tang Yinhai finally adjusted, pouring tea. “Who angered you this time? On Liuli Island, anyone who offended you would get tickle powder.”
“It’s Luo Mingyu, senior brother! Let me tell you everything!” Gritting her teeth, she recounted the entire day.
She had just woken up, and Luo Mingyu went out on a date with another woman. She had prepared so carefully, groomed and dressed… only for him to treat her coldly and tell her to sleep!
Was it that Baili Ling’s charm surpassed hers? Or was something else wrong? Men who cheat often refuse to enjoy their own women.
Tang Yinhai could only laugh and shake his head. “You… this was on purpose, right?”
“What do you mean?” Ling Ruoxi raised an eyebrow, glaring.
“Your body… can’t do much right now. I worry about Luo Mingyu. Today, the man in blue specifically said: you’re weak after waking, don’t overexert yourself. Luo Mingyu, thinking of you, acted cautiously. And yet, you openly tried to seduce him—if he didn’t tear you apart, consider yourself lucky.”
Ling Ruoxi froze. Indeed, Baili Ling’s appearance made her jealous. She even felt an urge to tie Luo Mingyu to herself. But her body was weak—how could she indulge in such nonsense?
She could faint any moment, yet tried these trivial antics. What was her brain thinking?
“Alright, fine, I get it. Let’s go!”
