As he finished speaking, Meng Jinyao looked even more innocent. Her gaze was clear and pure, eyes wide as she looked at him, with a look that could not have been more innocent. She asked, “Husband, what did you say? What do you mean by deliberately?”
“You little rascal, still trying to play tricks? You did it on purpose, clearly.”
Gu Jingxi let out a low chuckle, flipped her beneath him, and leaned down to kiss her. A faint, sweet metallic taste spread between their lips before he finally released her.
Meng Jinyao tasted it and glanced at Gu Jingxi’s lips. His lower lip was broken, a little blood seeping out—not serious. Even so, she felt a little guilty. She had bitten him earlier, not expecting to break his lip, but who asked him to misbehave first?
She turned her face away and snorted softly, “You can’t blame me for this.”
Gu Jingxi reached out and gently pinched her cheek. “Hmm, blame me then. Blame me for being disobedient. Now, Jinyao, do as you wish. I won’t resist at all.”
Meng Jinyao’s eyes brightened. “Are you serious?”
Seeing this, Gu Jingxi felt a flash of hesitation—this little rascal seemed about to do something to him. But he didn’t want to see the light in her eyes dim, so he braced himself and nodded. “I’m serious.”
Meng Jinyao grew bolder, her gaze sweeping over him, a hint of curiosity shining through.
Gu Jingxi: “……”
He really hadn’t expected his little wife to be like this—interested in his body, and so daring that it made him, a grown man, feel like a shy little girl.
He sighed lightly and silently began removing his clothes, intending to satisfy her curiosity. There really wasn’t much to see, after all.
Meng Jinyao was stunned at first, then astonished as she realized what he intended. Yet she couldn’t look away, her eyes fixed on him as she watched his fair, long fingers slowly undo his robe. Somehow, the scene felt quite pleasing to the eye.
In no time, Gu Jingxi had removed the top half of his sleepwear, revealing a lean torso, fair skin, and defined muscles with smooth lines.
A few days ago, she had drunk and tried to misbehave with him while intoxicated, but her mind had been foggy, and she hadn’t seen clearly. Now she could see everything plainly.
However, the visual impact was strong. When their eyes met, Meng Jinyao’s face heated up, quickly flushing red. She hurriedly grabbed the robe he had removed to cover him, hiding the view.
Gu Jingxi chuckled teasingly, “Curious, weren’t you? Now afraid to look?”
This sparked her competitive spirit. She tore the robe off to reveal him and lunged forward to kiss him.
For Gu Jingxi, this was both indulgence and sweet torment. He was clearly interested, yet his body betrayed him.
He felt a fire burning inside, his whole body hot. He wanted release but had no outlet, so he lay flat on the bed, adjusting his breathing to calm the internal heat.
Seeing his flushed cheeks, Meng Jinyao was puzzled, thoughtful. Could it be that he was shy? But he wasn’t fully naked—only the top of his robe was off—why would he be so embarrassed?
She poked his cheek gently. “Husband, are you alright? Your face is so red.”
Gu Jingxi’s expression stiffened before he replied, “I’m fine, just a little hot.”
“Hot?”
Meng Jinyao noticed the fine sweat forming on his brow and realized he really was warm. Though it was summer, it wasn’t the hottest time, but all that activity would naturally heat him up.
After a moment, Meng Jinyao grabbed a fan and fanned him.
Later, Gu Jingxi pulled her into his arms and said gently, “Jinyao, let’s sleep. I’m not hot anymore.”
She snuggled into him, and soon fell asleep.
The next morning.
Gu Jingxi woke and noticed again that he had a morning reaction. This didn’t happen every day; it hadn’t happened yesterday or the day before. Today was only the second time.
Suddenly, he discovered a secret to healing. These two occurrences seemed linked to stimulation before bed.
Perhaps he could test it tonight and see if it repeated in the morning.
If true, then Physician Wen’s suggestion to give him that book to stimulate himself made sense. Following this development, he wouldn’t need to take medicine for three months to recover.
Suddenly, he heard his little wife’s voice: “Husband, what are you thinking about?”
Snapping back to reality, he saw her awake, rubbing her eyes. He smiled gently, “Nothing. Why are you up so early?”
Meng Jinyao yawned. “Just woke up suddenly. It’s still early; I’ll sleep a bit more.”
“Alright, sleep then.”
After dressing, he noticed she had fallen back asleep. He went to the washroom, had breakfast, and headed to the court.
That evening, he tested his morning hypothesis with his wife. The next morning confirmed it—after stimulation, he indeed had a morning reaction.
Excited, Gu Jingxi went to see Physician Wen and explained what had happened.
Physician Wen was shocked, staring at him in disbelief. “Marquis, is this true?”
Gu Jingxi had always thought Physician Wen was a shady quack. Now, under the doctor’s gaze, he felt a little uneasy, avoiding eye contact with a faint “Yes.”
Physician Wen’s excitement surged. “Marquis, this is an amazing discovery! This method can assist healing, but you are the first to discover its effect. None of my previous patients ever found this.”
Gu Jingxi’s brow twitched. “…Weren’t your other patients reading that book too? How am I the first? Did you just randomly give me a frivolous book to experiment on me?”
Physician Wen hurriedly explained, “Marquis, don’t misunderstand. The book helped other patients too, but they didn’t actively apply the knowledge in the book like you did. That’s why you made this significant discovery.”
Gu Jingxi: “……”
What kind of reasoning was this quack using? It sounded like he was implying Gu Jingxi misbehaved every night.
Unbothered, Physician Wen basked in the joy of the discovery. This method advanced treatment—though it might not apply to everyone with this condition, it would work for some.
After a moment, Physician Wen said, “Marquis, the method works, but you shouldn’t do it every night. Long-term suppression without release harms the body. Start with once every three days, then five days, later eight or ten days. Combined with medicine, you won’t need three months—two months should suffice.”
Gu Jingxi asked, “How will I know I’m cured?”
Physician Wen replied, “When you have a morning reaction every day without stimulation, you can stop the medicine. If the reaction continues after stopping the medicine, you’re cured. Afterwards, your health and fertility will be unaffected.”
