Zhou Tingzhang realized his daughter wasn’t home when he went to deliver her dinner.
At first, he assumed she had gone out for some fresh air after he had been strict with her earlier. He didn’t think too much of it—after all, she wasn’t a criminal. How could he keep her confined all the time?
A little outing would do her good; otherwise, staying cooped up at home would only make her sour.
With a sigh, he turned and went downstairs.
But even after dinner, Zhou Yunzhen still hadn’t returned home. Zhou Tingzhang waited anxiously, checking multiple times, but she didn’t come back. Looking at the clock, it was already nine o’clock. He had been patient, but now anger started to rise naturally.
Not only had she left without permission, but was she planning to stay out all night? Zhou Tingzhang’s patience had worn thin, and his anger surged higher.
Ever since that incident, Zhou Tingzhang felt his daughter had begun to disobey him, stubborn in a way that was hard to bear.
Deciding he wouldn’t wait any longer, Zhou Tingzhang picked up his phone and called Zhou Yunzhen, his expression grim.
At this moment, Zhou Yunzhen was still asleep. The afternoon’s encounter had been so intense that not just she, but even the thug she had been with was exhausted—he had his legs draped over her and hands wandering inappropriately, sleeping deeply.
When Zhou Yunzhen’s phone rang, neither of them heard it at first, and the ringtone continued unabated.
But when Zhou Tingzhang saw that his daughter dared not answer his call, his anger flared, and he redialed immediately.
This time, the thug finally reacted. The woman in his arms was sleeping soundly, and the ringtone had become an irritating noise, disturbing him greatly.
“Damn it…”
Squinting, he lifted his head slightly, clearly annoyed at being interrupted. Just as he was about to curse, he realized something was off.
Looking down at his arms, he saw Zhou Yunzhen completely naked, and he couldn’t help but laugh. Of course—he had slept with this beauty.
He hadn’t imagined that in his lifetime he would sleep with such a gorgeous woman. Fate had been generous to him!
But before he could savor the thought, the phone kept ringing relentlessly. The thug realized it wasn’t his own phone. Initially, he didn’t want to answer, but the constant ringing annoyed him. Seeing that Zhou Yunzhen seemed slightly disturbed, he lazily reached for her bag to silence it.
Before moving, he hugged her tightly again and thrust forward in a crude motion.
Without even looking at the incoming call, he picked up the phone roughly, “Who’s this?”
Zhou Tingzhang was momentarily taken aback by the harsh, rude voice. Frowning in displeasure, he quickly realized that this was his daughter’s phone—why was a man answering it?
“Who are you? Where’s Yunzhen?”
“Yunzhen?” The man paused, then glanced at the woman in his arms while his other hand continued roaming. “You mean her? She’s asleep!”
Zhou Tingzhang’s fury skyrocketed. What nonsense was this!
Instinctively, he wondered if someone had stolen his daughter’s phone. Regardless, he refused to believe the words of the man on the line.
“Bastard! How is my daughter’s phone in your hands?”
Zhou Tingzhang’s voice was full of righteous authority, but the thug didn’t care. He laughed shamelessly. “Your daughter’s lying under me; the phone being in my hand is hardly surprising.”
Zhou Tingzhang froze. He couldn’t quite process what the man had said. It felt like a sharp needle had pierced his heart, and his voice trembled slightly.
“What… did you say?”
“Heh, seems like you don’t know yet. Earlier, your daughter slept with me. Right now, she’s exhausted and sleeping soundly!”
The thug didn’t bother with subtlety; he said whatever came to mind, caring nothing for the shock it might cause the person on the other end of the line.
“You’re talking bullshit!”
Zhou Tingzhang’s eyes widened in rage, his face twisted with fury. He roared, barely restraining the urge to throw the phone.
“Hey, why so angry? This is consensual, man and woman, perfectly normal. Don’t believe me? Come see for yourself—seeing is believing.”
The thug spoke casually, unconcerned about the disaster he was causing for the woman in his arms. Even if he had realized, he wouldn’t have cared—what did it matter to him?
“Where are you?”
Zhou Tingzhang’s body trembled; his anger was overwhelming, but he forced himself to remain calm. Seeing was believing. Yes—he had to go see for himself.
No matter how wayward his daughter was, how could she possibly… sleep with someone? She still had a sense of decency; she might have been temporarily bewitched, but she would never commit such a foolish act!
The thug was cooperative enough to give the address, then hung up.
“Humph, why so impatient? I’m not leaving early anyway.”
He laughed, tossing the phone aside and continuing his lascivious behavior with the sleeping Zhou Yunzhen.
“Her skin is amazing, so smooth like silk… even better than those who sell themselves. Too good to waste!”
One hand fondled her chest, the other explored her body. He fantasized about sleeping with her more times in the future.
He didn’t know her true identity and had no idea that the man on the phone was a general. To him, she was just an ordinary woman, so he acted without restraint.
The thug, thinking only of himself, continued his lewd acts.
Meanwhile, Gu Jiawei, still watching through the surveillance, froze for a moment, then laughed aloud.
“This scoundrel really isn’t afraid of death, like he swallowed a lion’s courage.”
Gu Jiawei and Xi Yuechen had both heard the earlier phone call, which explained his astonishment.
Even now, these two were still entangled, completely unafraid of the old Zhou arriving and dying of rage. The thug’s stamina was impressive; after such intense passion in the afternoon, he was ready for round two.
“By the way, what’s this Zhou woman’s identity?”
Gu Jiawei finally remembered to ask about Zhou Yunzhen’s background. He hadn’t seen her before but assumed her family wasn’t poor.
Xi Yuechen lowered his eyes, expression cold. “She’s General Zhou Tingzhang’s daughter.”
Gu Jiawei raised an eyebrow. “The fiery general? Hmph, what a character. How did he raise such a corrupt daughter? She’s completely shamed him.”
Gu Jiawei knew Zhou Tingzhang’s temper and admired him—a capable and strong man—but raising such a troublesome daughter was a burden.
“She’ll ruin her father’s reputation. What business is it of anyone else?” Xi Yuechen remained expressionless. Hearing Zhou Tingzhang was on his way didn’t move him one bit.
“Hmph. Anyway, she’s infatuated with you; that’s why this mess happened.” Gu Jiawei smiled slyly, full of mischief.
Xi Yuechen didn’t care about her reasons. He already disliked her, especially since she dared touch Su Ruo—unforgivable.
Her father’s identity was irrelevant. He respected General Zhou as a hero but wouldn’t excuse everything unconditionally. If he did something wrong, Xi Yuechen would never tolerate it. Zhou Yunzhen was no exception.
“See? So much useless chatter.”
Xi Yuechen actually looked forward to Zhou Tingzhang’s arrival. It promised to be entertaining—he wanted to see how the general would handle his daughter.
“You really are heartless,” Gu Jiawei muttered, but he, too, anticipated the old man’s arrival. After watching the lewd scene, he craved some new excitement.
He gave a subtle signal to someone nearby, who quickly switched the surveillance to the hotel entrance.
Soon after, the person they were waiting for finally appeared.
“General Zhou has arrived!” Gu Jiawei’s eyes lit up, clapping his hands.
“Proceed as arranged,” he instructed, then eagerly watched the surveillance.
Xi Yuechen ignored Gu Jiawei’s plans, eyes fixed on the screen, face icy and emotionless, seemingly unaware that someone had entered.
Zhou Tingzhang entered the hotel, face dark, aura imposing. Without hesitation, he took the elevator up.
Once on the floor, he located the room the man had described. Just as he was about to knock, he stopped himself, expression shifting, deep in thought.
A hotel staff member came out of the next room. Zhou Tingzhang glanced casually, recognizing them as housekeeping. He was about to look away, but froze.
The staff member held a stack of room cards.
“Excuse me, I forgot my room card. Could you help me open the door?”
Zhou Tingzhang forced a smile, trying to appear courteous.
“Sorry, that’s against the rules. If you don’t have your card, you’ll need to go to the lobby.”
The staff member smiled politely, declining tactfully.
“I’m in a hurry, just need to grab something. Please, help me out.”
Zhou Tingzhang’s tone was friendly, easing the staff member’s worry.
“Alright, you seem trustworthy,” the staff member said, flipping through the cards, smiling. “But be careful next time.”
Thus, Zhou Tingzhang obtained the card without issue. In his anger, he didn’t even notice how lenient the hotel had been. Who would normally let someone in without a card so easily?
But his mind was entirely on whether his daughter was in the room.
After opening the door, the staff left. The moment Zhou Tingzhang stepped in, he was hit by loud noises and… the unmistakable scent in the air.
Hearing the sounds, he staggered, almost falling. His face went pale, hands trembling.
Though broken moans and groans, he could unmistakably recognize the voice—it was his daughter, Zhou Yunzhen.
