QTIMP -Chapter 213 Character Persona – Fool (Part 9)

Quick Transmigration: I Must Maintain My Persona 6 min read 213 of 246 8

Only the man standing on the right, Theodore, caught a glimpse out of the corner of his eye—there seemed to be faint red marks on the gentleman’s jaw. Probably from sleeping in the wrong position.

He quickly lowered his head. “Sir, the doctor is already waiting, and tonight we will reach the vicinity of that ship.”

“Mm.” He tugged at his suit and fastened one button. Then he glanced back at the closed door.

“Let him wait.”

When Si Qiu woke up, there was no one left on the bed. She rolled around a few times before finally sitting up.

As she lifted her head, she saw Elias’s exquisitely sculpted face. Under the bright sunlight, it carried a faint divine quality.

Click—the sound of a laptop being closed.

“What is it? Not hungry? Still staring?”

Si Qiu felt a little embarrassed, then immediately became confident again. “Beauty is edible. Looking at you makes it bearable even if I’m hungry.”

Elias couldn’t tell whether that was sweet talk or her genuine thought. But regardless, seeing her face and those bright eyes was enough for him to forgive everything.

“Get up and eat something. You still need to take your medicine.”

Si Qiu obediently nodded, brushing her hair back with her hand before getting up to wash up in the bathroom.

From behind the bathroom door, she heard Elias say, “There are clothes prepared for you in the wardrobe…”

“Got it, got it.”

Clattering sounds came from inside. Elias originally intended to leave, but still felt uneasy and stayed in the room.

Only when Si Qiu came out in a white strappy dress did the two of them head to the dining room.

At the table, Si Qiu saw Theodore serving porridge from a clay pot.

Her face immediately lit up with obvious delight, followed by a spread of dishes—shrimp dumplings, siu mai, steamed buns, and char siu buns.

Ever since she received the call about her mother’s car accident, she had only been eating enough to maintain basic bodily functions.

Now seeing such delicious food, she was naturally excited.

She ran over to Elias, who was already seated, her eyes bright and focused on him.

That faint, lingering scent drifted toward him again. Elias curled his lips into a smile. “What is it? Is there something you like to eat?”

Si Qiu’s smile was bright and sunny. She slightly lowered her head as she stood over him. “Elias, can I kiss you?”

Elias’s pupils contracted sharply. Then he reached out and pulled her into his arms. She fell naturally into his embrace.

His fingers brushed her soft cheek. “Sorry, that’s my fault. I should be the one asking that. Si Qiu, may I kiss you?”

Si Qiu didn’t answer. Instead, she leaned down and pressed her lips against his.

Just a simple touch—no further movement.

Elias let out a soft laugh, then lifted his hand to the back of her neck, deepening the kiss.

Their lips tangled and lingered.

Her faint fragrance became even clearer in his breath. The softness of her lips felt like tender jelly.

It made him want to bite gently—but he held back, afraid of startling her.

His other hand slowly traced along her back, both teasing and soothing.

The taste of cigars spread faintly in Si Qiu’s mouth. The slight suffocating feeling made her struggle a little.

“Elias…”

Her slightly breathless voice felt like a cage, binding the cold, hardened man completely.

Eventually, he slowed and stopped the kiss. Seeing the redness at the corner of her eyes, he couldn’t help but lightly peck her lips twice.

“Did you like it?” His voice carried a smile, and satisfaction.

Si Qiu frowned. “You smoke? The smell of smoke is so disgusting.”

Elias stiffened for a moment, then pulled her even closer, interlacing his fingers with hers and resting his chin on the top of her head. “Heh… my little fool, why are you so delicate?”

“I’m not delicate at all.” She acted just the right amount of petulant, wriggling her body as if trying to get down from him.

Elias helped her stand properly. He was afraid that if he held her any longer, he might end up doing something without regard for her health.

After a satisfying breakfast and lunch, Si Qiu obediently took her medicine. Her mother had always told her that no matter what, she must never joke with her own health.

“Can I go up to the deck and play?” Since boarding the ship, she had been stuck in the cabin and was starting to feel stifled.

Elias didn’t answer. Instead, he took her hand and led her toward the deck.

The sea breeze carried a salty, fishy scent. Si Qiu spread her arms, facing the wind, her waist-length hair dancing behind her.

“Do you know? Every time school started, my mom would send me there, and we’d always go play by the sea.”

Elias stepped in front of her and gently pulled her into his arms. “From now on, you have me.”

Si Qiu smiled faintly. Her mother had said before: in this world, mountains can collapse, rivers can dry up, and people can leave. In the end, you have to rely on yourself.

She had her survival system—she wasn’t afraid of anything.

At that moment, several ships approached from a distance. Si Qiu looked over curiously. “Elias, look! There are so many ships coming over there—wow, they look so impressive!”

The ships had a cold, imposing style, completely different from the leisure vessel they were on.

Elias gently stroked her head. “Those are our ships. Don’t be afraid.”

“You brought so many ships here for what?”

He took her hand again and led her back toward the cabin. “You’ll know tonight.”

He didn’t explain further, and Si Qiu didn’t ask either. Her mother had said people shouldn’t overthink things—it only made life shorter.

After sending her back to the cabin, Elias became busy. However, he did bring her a phone and a computer, letting her use them freely.

With these things, who would still feel bored?

In this life, Si Qiu might not have many friends, but she was a heavy internet addict.

After being knocked unconscious and waking up on the ship, her phone had long since disappeared.

Now that she had it back, she immediately downloaded various apps, quickly logged into her accounts, and found that classmates had already contacted her.

She replied briefly, and her classmates offered a few words of comfort before the conversation ended.

Then she played a few games and started scrolling short videos.

It wasn’t until Elias took her phone away that she realized it was already getting dark outside. Had this phone somehow come with a fast-forward button?

“Aren’t you tired after using it for so long? Dinner is ready. I had the chef specially prepare Chinese food.”

In Si Qiu’s world, the only thing that could beat electronic devices was food.

She happily followed him to the dining table. It was indeed Chinese food, but after only a couple of bites, she found the taste rather average.

Fortunately, she wasn’t a picky eater—being full was enough.

Elias also noticed her dissatisfaction with the meal.

He gestured to his men, and the table was cleared away. Just as Si Qiu picked up her phone again, it was immediately pressed down.

He took a shawl from Theo and wrapped it around her shoulders. “Come on, I’ll take you to see fireworks.”

“Fireworks?”

Her attention was successfully diverted. The two of them headed up to the deck.
