Zhang Jiaohua turned around and walked away.
Hua Shaobo looked at him, still uncertain. The moment he heard about the monkey attack, his first suspicion was Zhang Jiaohua, but now, judging from Zhang Jiaohua’s attitude, he was no longer so sure.
“Daoist Zhang, aren’t you curious why the Kunlun Sect sent people here?” Hua Shaobo called out to his retreating figure.
“Not interested,” Zhang Jiaohua replied without turning his head and walked straight toward the exit.
Hua Shaobo quickly caught up with him. “Daoist Zhang, I truly apologize for earlier. The main reason the Kunlun Sect sent people this time is to gather cultivators from all over the world for a forum on cultivation. You’re so young and already have such cultivation—surely you have unique insights. Why not participate in the seminar? Who knows, the Kunlun Sect might take a liking to you and accept you as a disciple. Your future would be boundless.”
“I’m not interested in anything you said. Stop following me,” Zhang Jiaohua replied coldly and strode off.
Hua Shaobo hadn’t expected Zhang Jiaohua to have absolutely no interest in the Kunlun Sect. He stood there in a daze, watching the boy walk away. “This Zhang Jiaohua is really strange. He’s not even a little interested in the Kunlun Sect… Could it be that he has cultivation techniques better than what the Kunlun Sect offers?”
Thinking of that, a trace of fiery desire flashed in Hua Shaobo’s eyes.
“You’ve been gone over a day—where did you go? You didn’t come back last night. I even went to your school today and learned you’d taken leave. You should at least let me know! Otherwise, I’d be worried sick,” Wu Yuan said. He hadn’t gone to the restaurant today, choosing instead to wait at home for Zhang Jiaohua. If he hadn’t shown up, Wu Yuan had planned to report him missing to the police.
Zhang Jiaohua scratched his head. “Something came up yesterday, and I had to leave in a rush. I forgot to tell you.”
“What were you doing?” Wu Yuan asked.
“I went to a special kind of marketplace with a friend. Spent the night there,” Zhang Jiaohua replied.
Wu Yuan thought he’d done something shady and quickly warned, “Jiaohua, don’t do anything reckless.”
“Relax, it’s not what you’re thinking. Oh, and about the monkey—don’t mention it to anyone,” Zhang Jiaohua added.
“Got it,” Wu Yuan nodded.
Now that Zhang Jiaohua was back, Wu Yuan finally relaxed. But he was still uneasy, wondering if Zhang Jiaohua had gotten involved in something dangerous. Still, the boy was young but had more backbone than he did—there was little he could do besides worry.
“Don’t look at me like that. I really didn’t do anything illegal. You know I’m not like regular people. The market I went to was for trading cultivation resources. No need to worry so much,” Zhang Jiaohua explained.
“All right. I haven’t gone to the restaurant yet today. Now that you’re back, I’d better head over,” Wu Yuan said, and then he left.
Zhang Jiaohua entered the house and immediately went into his Cultivation Diagram. Inside, the herb field was lush and vibrant. It had clearly expanded since the last time he saw it.
He quickly opened up another plot of land and planted all the seeds he had obtained.
Looking around at the space within the Cultivation Diagram, Zhang Jiaohua began to ponder: if the Xiyun Secret Realm was someone’s Cultivation Diagram, could all the secret realms on Earth be similar spaces? Why would so many cultivators scatter their Cultivation Diagrams across the world?
A sudden idea struck him—could Earth itself be a Cultivation Diagram? Could everything on Earth, including its living beings, have been visualized into existence by some supreme cultivator? The thought stunned Zhang Jiaohua. It was an almost unimaginable concept—but what if it were real?
He even wondered: if he grew powerful enough one day, could he also visualize an entire world like this?
What was the true purpose of the “Three Great Sacred Lands” hosting a cultivation forum? Now Zhang Jiaohua was intrigued. If Earth really was a Cultivation Diagram, and the spiritual veins within it were drying up, did that mean the powerful cultivator who created it had perished? Had Earth become a masterless Cultivation Diagram? And if someone were to absorb that diagram… would the spiritual energy of Earth revive?
So many things had happened recently. He used to think there were only a few cultivators in the world. But now, not only were there cultivation sects, there were even three great sacred lands. He had no idea what kind of power they held, but judging from the Xiyun Sect—whose spiritual veins were nearly dry yet still had peak-level experts—the sacred lands, with their abundant spiritual energy, must be filled with elite cultivators. Dealing with sects like that could be extremely dangerous for him.
Zhang Jiaohua’s situation was unique—he had accidentally visualized a real Cultivation Diagram. That might be the real reason behind the sacred lands’ forum. If they found out he possessed an actual diagram, they’d probably want to dissect him just to get it.
Of course, even if they cut him to pieces, they likely wouldn’t find it. Zhang Jiaohua knew the diagram wasn’t part of the physical world—it existed as a separate dimension altogether. No one could discover it just by examining his body.
“Woof woof!” Suddenly, the sound of Drill-Mountain Leopard barking broke his thoughts. Zhang Jiaohua rushed outside and caught a glimpse of a shadow flickering just beyond the courtyard wall. By the time he reached the spot, the person had vanished.
He could’ve let the leopard track them, but Zhang Jiaohua didn’t want anyone to learn the full extent of his powers. After standing outside briefly, he returned indoors.
Someone was testing him! He didn’t need to guess—it had to be someone from the Xiyun Sect. Most likely, it was Hua Shaobo.
“Hua Shaobo, you’ve got guts,” Zhang Jiaohua said coldly, glancing out the window.

The next day, Zhang Jiaohua still went to school. Wei Yunlong called him into the office.
“Yesterday, a chubby guy named Wu Yuan came to school looking for you. Did you know that?”
Zhang Jiaohua nodded. “I left in a hurry and forgot to tell him. He’s my landlord. A kind guy—he got worried when I didn’t come home last night.”
“Try not to skip class too often. You’re alone in the capital—if something happens, talk to your landlord. He seems like a reliable person,” Wei Yunlong said with a smile.
“Got it,” Zhang Jiaohua nodded.
