“Eighteen thousand, one hundred and eighty is about right. But this antique medical box is nothing special. It’s just a regular medical box, even if it’s kept for ten thousand years, it won’t be worth more than that. This guy definitely made a mistake and thought this medical box was an antique. What do you think? Offer me a hundred pennies, and we don’t need it. You keep it for yourself,” Wu Yuan said sarcastically.

The vendor was quite embarrassed. “If you don’t want to buy it, don’t make a fuss here. I’m still trying to do business.”

“Let’s go. There are plenty of these things in Panjiayuan, and they’re only worth about a hundred bucks. This fool thinks he can trick us with this. No chance,” Wu Yuan said as he noticed Zhang Jiaohua still hesitating. He quickly pulled Zhang Jiaohua away, afraid that he might fall for the scam.

“Hey, what’s with your mouth? If I weren’t busy doing business, I’d teach you a lesson right now,” the vendor, around thirty or forty years old, said angrily after Wu Yuan’s audacity.

“Come on, let’s do it right now. You want to scam people, but you’re afraid when others call you out?” Wu Yuan had been scammed by vendors like this before, and his frustration was evident.

“Fatty! Is this your first time at Panjiayuan? This place is all about eye for detail. If you don’t have that, it’s your tuition fee. How did I scam you? Did I force you to buy it?” The vendor stood up, clenched his fists, and was ready to throw a punch.

Though Wu Yuan was big, he was more talk than action. When the vendor was ready to fight, Wu Yuan immediately backed down, instinctively hiding behind Zhang Jiaohua. The vendor, seeing this, became even more aggressive.

“Fatty, you want to practice, right? Come on, don’t hide behind him!” The vendor tried to push past Zhang Jiaohua to grab Wu Yuan.

Before the vendor could touch Zhang Jiaohua, his hand was firmly squeezed by Zhang Jiaohua.

“You can’t move him yet, I still need him to guide me,” Wu Yuan, though annoying, had just defended himself, and Zhang Jiaohua wasn’t about to let him suffer.

The vendor, originally wanting to teach Zhang Jiaohua a lesson as well, tried to pull his hand away and push Zhang Jiaohua to the ground. But instead of escaping, he found his hand locked in an iron grip, unable to move. As he tried harder, Zhang Jiaohua squeezed even tighter, making the vendor feel as though his bones were about to snap. The excruciating pain caused him to scream.

“Let go! You bastard!”

Zhang Jiaohua snorted coldly. “Who are you calling a bastard?”

“I… I’m sorry, I’m sorry! I was just insulting myself, okay?” The vendor begged, fearing his bones might actually break.

Zhang Jiaohua loosened his grip, and the vendor quickly pulled his hand back, rubbing it vigorously with his other hand, casting fearful glances at Zhang Jiaohua. He was stunned that this seemingly childlike person had such terrifying strength.

“Jiaohua, this guy needs a serious lesson. You shouldn’t have let him go so easily. If you don’t teach him a good lesson, he might be plotting how to get back at you,” Wu Yuan warned, eager to see the vendor get punished.

Zhang Jiaohua looked at Wu Yuan and knew this vendor had probably scammed him before.

The vendor, though in pain, was secretly considering who he could hire to teach Zhang Jiaohua a lesson.

Zhang Jiaohua glanced at him and smiled. “You’d better not cross me again.”

The vendor, feeling the intense pressure from Zhang Jiaohua’s gaze, quickly lowered his head and dared not meet his eyes again.

“Why is this guy so terrifying?” The vendor was worried that if he tried to hire someone to teach Zhang Jiaohua a lesson, he might end up being punished even worse.

“Let’s go,” Zhang Jiaohua said, kicking Wu Yuan.

“We’re just letting this guy go? He’s definitely not going to give up. Wait and see, he’ll find someone to block us later. People like him always have their own group here in Panjiayuan. If you let him go now, he’ll get them all to come after us in no time,” Wu Yuan warned.

“Stop talking nonsense. Didn’t you say you can easily find a medical box here in Panjiayuan? Take me to buy one. I want the real old-style medical box,” Zhang Jiaohua said.

“Why do you need a medical box? It’s not even valuable for collecting,” Wu Yuan asked, confused.

“Just take me to find one. Don’t ask too many questions, okay? I need it for my own reasons,” Zhang Jiaohua replied, not wanting to explain further.

“Alright, follow me. I know a place that specializes in this. The prices are cheap, and they also have silver needles, gold needles, medical books, and even rare ancient editions. These books aren’t cheap, but they’re much cheaper than the famous ones. After all, we regular people wouldn’t even understand the old texts,” Wu Yuan led Zhang Jiaohua to a more secluded area in Panjiayuan.

In a nondescript shop, various strange items were displayed. Zhang Jiaohua quickly spotted several different styles of medical boxes. There were also many old medical tools on the counter.

“This is the place. Everything you were looking for is here. But I told you, these aren’t antiques,” Wu Yuan said, showing little interest in the items.

“What do you know? These are much more valuable than you think. Fatty, some things in this world can’t be measured by money,” Zhang Jiaohua said.

“Well said. Money can’t buy happiness. It seems like you’re also someone who appreciates the same things. Are you studying medicine, young brother?” the shop owner approached, clearly moved by Zhang Jiaohua’s words.

“I’ve learned a bit. I’m more interested in these medical tools. I’ll buy them to practice with, hoping they’ll be useful in the future,” Zhang Jiaohua smiled.

“No need to say more. You’ll surely be a master in the medical field one day. If you like something, just ask, and I’ll give you the best price,” the shop owner said cheerfully.

Zhang Jiaohua didn’t ask for the price, selecting an old-style medical box, silver needles, and medical tools like stones and a set of medical books.

The shop owner was sincere and gave a reasonable price. Zhang Jiaohua paid several thousand yuan and got the entire set.

As they left the shop, Zhang Jiaohua noticed a few other shops nearby. They looked strange, with no signs at all.

“Do those shops sell medical tools too?” Zhang Jiaohua casually asked.

“Of course not. Who would buy these things? One store is already too much. How could there be more?” Wu Yuan laughed.

“What are those shops for, then? Why don’t they even have signs?” Zhang Jiaohua asked, confused.
