“I won’t act in the movie with you then.” Zhang Jiaohua still refused to agree.

“If you don’t go, I’ll ask your mother.” Tang Yan said.

This was actually a valid threat. Liu Qiaoye, Zhang Jiaohua’s mother, was a loyal fan of Tang Yan and would definitely let her son act with his idol.

Zhang Jiaohua scratched his head and threatened, “It won’t work if you talk to my mom. I’ll make trouble on your set, and then we’ll see if you still want me to act.”

“If you dare cause trouble, I’ll let your mother deal with you.” Tang Yan now had Zhang Jiaohua by the throat, and she wasn’t about to back down.

Zhang Jiaohua was stunned; this was a problem he couldn’t solve. But he had his own solution—he immediately ran off, shouting from a distance, “Do whatever you want. I’m not going to act in your movie.”

“Are you really going to look for Liu?” Chen Cheng asked.

“How could I? He’s just a kid, and he needs to get his parents involved. How embarrassing would that be? Do I really have no charm left?” Tang Yan laughed.

“Sister Yan, even though you can charm people of all ages, I don’t think you’ll be able to persuade Jiaohua. He’s not like ordinary kids.” Chen Cheng looked at Zhang Jiaohua’s retreating figure.

“This guy is sly. Don’t be fooled by how innocent he looks. He’s actually very clever.” Tang Yan had figured Zhang Jiaohua out.

Zhang Jiaohua wasn’t completely unwilling to act in the movie. The thought of appearing on the big screen made him a little excited, but he also felt embarrassed. He was very conflicted.

“Do you really want to act in the movie?” Chen Dianzi changed the topic.

“Whether I want to or not is none of your business. You say cultivation is so great, but you still sleep in the same room as your wife.” Zhang Jiaohua retorted.

Chen Dianzi chuckled, and jokingly said, “You little brat don’t understand anything. We are cultivators, not monks. Cultivation is about the harmony of yin and yang. Jiaohua, is Tang Yan pretty?”

“She’s pretty. The girls in the city are so tall. Chen Cheng is pretty too.” Zhang Jiaohua replied.

Chen Dianzi couldn’t resist kicking Zhang Jiaohua in the rear, “I’m telling you seriously, don’t joke around about my daughter, or I’ll fall out with you.”

“Chen Dianzi, if you dare to sneak attack me again, I’ll fight you.” Zhang Jiaohua quickly got up, raising his small fists, ready to fight.

“Who’s afraid of who! Watch me take your pants off and spank you!” Chen Dianzi immediately squared up, ready to fight with Zhang Jiaohua. Although Zhang Jiaohua was younger, he had started practicing early, whereas Chen Dianzi had only begun training in his adulthood. Chen Cheng and Tang Yan happened to walk by and saw the two of them fighting.

“Dad! Why are you fighting with Jiaohua?” Chen Cheng hurriedly shouted.

“This kid is rude, and his parents, Zhang Youping and Liu Qiaoye, don’t educate him properly, so I’m doing it for them.” Chen Dianzi said proudly.

“Dad, what will you say when Mr. Zhang comes over? How embarrassing for you to fight with a child.” Chen Cheng’s face was flushed with embarrassment, thinking her father was acting unprofessionally.

Tang Yan, on the other hand, was enjoying the spectacle, shouting, “Go Jiaohua! Go Jiaohua!” She loved watching the commotion.

“Sister Yan, stop egging them on, and think of a way to separate them!” Chen Cheng pulled Tang Yan aside.

“Silly girl, they’re obviously sparring. Did you see who was at a disadvantage? Maybe your dad is guiding Jiaohua.” Tang Yan smiled.

“Does he even have the nerve to say he’s guiding me? Ask him if he dares admit it.” Zhang Jiaohua couldn’t help but say.

“Didn’t your master teach you that you shouldn’t get distracted during a fight?” Chen Dianzi chuckled, taking advantage of Zhang Jiaohua’s momentary distraction. He kicked him in the rear, sending Zhang Jiaohua flying a few meters.

Zhang Jiaohua sat on the ground, pointing at Chen Dianzi, “You tricked me again, you’re so despicable.”

“If this were an enemy, you’d already be dead. No one would sympathize with you.” Chen Dianzi said smugly.

“Come again!” Zhang Jiaohua quickly got up and rushed toward Chen Dianzi.

“Enough, enough!” Chen Cheng and Tang Yan quickly separated them.

Zhang Jiaohua was still upset, “You don’t have to stop me. I’m going to beat up that shameless Chen Dianzi.”

“You won’t win. Are you crazy?” Tang Yan held Zhang Jiaohua tightly.

“If you hadn’t distracted me, do you think Chen Dianzi would have beaten me?” Zhang Jiaohua was furious. The two were evenly matched, but every time, Chen Dianzi managed to take advantage.

“You little brat, even if you fought me a hundred times, you’d still lose. Alright, I’ve won again. Let’s go, daughter, we’re heading home. Your mom must have cooked dinner.” Chen Dianzi allowed his daughter to pull him away, heading toward home.

When Tang Yan saw that Zhang Jiaohua stopped struggling, she finally let go. Zhang Jiaohua knew he couldn’t fight anymore today, so he didn’t pursue Chen Dianzi.

“I told you I’m not going to act in the movie. Why are you still looking for me? You got me kicked by Chen Dianzi.” Zhang Jiaohua complained.

“Good thing we came quickly, or you would have been beaten up more and couldn’t have acted in the movie. I just talked to the director, and he liked my suggestion. He’s adding a role for you. The screenwriter is already revising the script. I’ve made sure the director will include you, so you can’t back out now.” Tang Yan pleaded.

Zhang Jiaohua scratched his head, “I haven’t agreed yet, and you’ve already talked to the director?”

“I knew you wouldn’t let me down.” Tang Yan smiled when she saw that Zhang Jiaohua wasn’t as opposed as before.

“I need to ask my parents first.” Zhang Jiaohua was just looking for a way out.

“Of course. You have to get your parents’ approval. I’ll go with you to your house.” Tang Yan immediately seized the opportunity.

Zhang Youping and Liu Qiaoye were surprised by the invitation to let Zhang Jiaohua act in the movie.

“Jiaohua has never acted before, don’t let him delay your movie.” Liu Qiaoye was reluctant. She already knew about the tomb-raiding incident and worried that Jiaohua might be in danger.

“It’s fine. No one is born knowing how to act. When I was his age, I was a clueless little brat too. Jiaohua is smarter than most kids; he might even become a star.” Tang Yan said.

“If Jiaohua wants to go, let him. If you’re too scared to do anything, how will you ever grow up to succeed?” Zhang Youping agreed.

“Mr. Zhang, you agree?” Tang Yan asked in surprise.

Liu Qiaoye gave Zhang Youping a look, “Jiaohua, if you go, you must listen to Sister Tang Yan.”

“See? Your mom says you should call me sister.” Tang Yan was still displeased that Zhang Jiaohua had called her “aunt.”

“Fine.” Zhang Jiaohua reluctantly agreed.

“Okay, then I’ll talk to the director, and you’ll be the star of our film.” Tang Yan finally smiled and left happily.
