Everyone was stunned. That description… why did it sound so much like a mouse?

The man clenched his teeth, his eyes suddenly turning red as he glared at Xiao Wange.
“Don’t you dare say it… don’t you dare reveal my true form!”

His true form was something everyone despised. Everyone hated rats. Everyone avoided them like the plague!

Many people would even beat a rat to death the moment they saw one, crushing it into pulp before feeling satisfied.

Deep down, he actually hated humans—hated how cruel humans were to rats.

Yet at the same time, he envied humans. He envied how humans could live bright, glamorous lives above ground.

So his heart was truly complicated—complex and full of contradictions.

“Comrade Xiao, is he a rat demon? Is he really a mouse?” He Xiuyan stared at Xiao Wange and asked.

Xiao Wange looked at the man’s furious expression. The corner of her lips twitched slightly as she said calmly,
“He is indeed a rat. This rat had some fortuitous encounters and actually managed to cultivate into human form. But his intentions were crooked. He has taken so many lives—he must pay the price sooner or later.”

She did not discriminate against rats.
But this rat demon had killed so many people. Even before cultivating into human form, his hands were already stained with human blood.

A demon like this could not be allowed to remain in the world. If left alive, he would only continue to bring disaster.

“I’m not… I’m not a rat! I’m not!” the man shouted wildly. His face twisted in madness, his eyes turning even redder.

The moment Wei Chuchu heard that the demon was a rat, her stomach churned violently and she vomited on the spot.

She rushed outside, bracing herself against the wall as she retched hard.

After vomiting, she turned back and glared at the man.
“You’re actually a rat? You’re the rat I hate most! How could I be so unlucky? How could I run into such a disgusting demon like you!”

She vomited again, feeling utterly miserable.

Wei Changguo and Lu Jiashu hurried to her side. Lu Jiashu asked anxiously,
“Chuchu, are you all right?”
As she spoke, she gently patted Wei Chuchu’s back.

After retching for a few seconds, Wei Chuchu suddenly burst into tears.

Her beautiful life had been completely ruined!
She had actually married a rat—had even done those things with a rat. Just thinking about it made her feel unbearably sick.

Seeing her cry so heartbreakingly, Lu Jiashu also began to cry.

She held her daughter and sobbed,
“My poor daughter… my poor daughter…”

Seeing how badly Wei Chuchu was vomiting, He Xiuyan asked worriedly,
“Comrade Xiao, will she be all right?”

Xiao Wange narrowed her eyes, glanced at the vomiting Wei Chuchu, then turned to He Xiuyan.
“She had very intimate contact with that rat demon. Vomiting like this will expel certain things left behind by the demon. That way, she won’t become pregnant with a rat demon’s child.”

“What? Just vomiting is enough?” He Xiuyan asked doubtfully.

“I placed a spell on her earlier,” Xiao Wange replied.
“With my spell working together with this vomiting, she definitely won’t get pregnant.”

He Xiuyan immediately understood.

So there was magic involved. No wonder—it really would have been too miraculous otherwise.

After vomiting for three or four minutes, Wei Chuchu finally stopped.

She wiped the corner of her mouth and suddenly turned to look at Wei Changxing and He Caiyun inside the house.

She glared at them, raised her foot, and charged over.

Slap!
She rushed up to Wei Changxing and slapped him hard.

Before he could react, she slapped He Caiyun as well.

Her face was filled with loathing as she shouted,
“It’s all because of you! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have met that demon! If it weren’t for you, I wouldn’t have married that demon! You destroyed my life—you destroyed me!”

At this moment, Wei Chuchu truly hated her uncle and aunt.
How could they be so selfish? How could they sacrifice her entire life just for their own benefit?

Her life was completely ruined. There was no light left—only endless darkness.

Being slapped by a junior like this, anger instinctively rose on Wei Changxing and He Caiyun’s faces.

He Caiyun raised her hand, intending to slap Wei Chuchu back.

But before her hand could land, Lu Jiashu rushed forward.

Her face was full of deep resentment. She grabbed He Caiyun’s wrist and glared at her coldly.
“What, you still want to hit my daughter? You’ve already ruined her—now you want to hit her too?!”

Held by the wrist and stared at with such hatred, He Caiyun’s lips twitched. She instinctively shrank back a little.

After all, she had ruined someone else’s daughter. She was clearly in the wrong. Facing them now, she felt a trace of shame.

Of course, that shame only existed because everything had been exposed. If it hadn’t been, she wouldn’t even know what shame was.

“Jiashu, I… Changxing and I were actually doing this for Chuchu’s own good,” He Caiyun said weakly.
“We thought that such a powerful demon would surely be able to give Chuchu happiness. With a great demon by her side, she could have whatever she wanted…”

“Then why didn’t you offer your own daughter to him?!” Lu Jiashu roared.
“Your daughter was also born in a yin year, yin month, and yin day—just not at a yin hour! You wouldn’t sacrifice your own daughter, but you sacrificed mine! He Caiyun, how can you be so despicable? How can you be so vicious?!”

He Caiyun’s younger daughter and Wei Chuchu were born on the same day—except Wei Chuchu was born at night, while He Caiyun’s daughter was born in the afternoon.

He Caiyun’s daughter was also a yin woman.

Blocked by these words, He Caiyun was left speechless.

Furious, Lu Jiashu slapped her twice hard.
“You poisonous woman! You and Wei Changxing will die miserable deaths—both of you will!”

These slaps were full of rage, and they hurt badly.

He Caiyun’s already swollen face puffed up even more.

Covering her cheek, she glared angrily at Lu Jiashu.
“You actually dare to hit me? No matter what, I’m still your sister-in-law! How dare you hit your—”

“At a time like this, stop hiding behind your ‘sister-in-law’ status,” Shi Jinzhu snapped angrily.
“Someone like you even deserves that title? Being slapped was already being merciful—if it were worse, someone would’ve stabbed you long ago!”

She truly despised Wei Chuchu’s uncle and aunt. They were utterly shameless—unwilling to sacrifice their own daughter, yet perfectly willing to destroy someone else’s child.

“Who are you? Do you even have the right to speak here?” He Caiyun snapped back instinctively.

Shi Jinzhu was about to respond when Xiao Wange suddenly smiled.
“You may think that because you made a deal with a demon, the law can’t touch you. But you’re wrong. The evil you’ve done will be punished by the law. In fact… the police may already be on their way.”

Hearing this, both He Caiyun and Wei Changxing’s breathing tightened. They subconsciously turned their heads to look outside the hall.

Outside were only the six corpses and the two Taoist priests. No one else.

Wei Changxing held his breath and silently told himself to stay calm.

Demons killing people sounded absurd in this day and age. There was no way the police could convict them. That girl was just trying to scare them, trying to make them panic.

They couldn’t panic. Even if the police came, they couldn’t panic!

Yet within thirty seconds, the police really arrived.

The nanny led a group of uniformed officers, along with several furious men and women, in through the gate.

The moment those people saw the six corpses, they burst into cries and wails.

They were the families of the victims, here to identify the bodies—and to seek justice.

The nanny brought the police into the living room and explained the situation to Wei Changguo.

The police captain then ordered,
“Arrest Wei Changxing and his wife!”

Wei Changxing’s eyes widened in terror.
“Officer, my wife and I didn’t commit any crimes! We really didn’t! We didn’t know that man would kill people—we really didn’t! We only introduced girls to him, we were just acting as matchmakers! Officer, please don’t arrest—”

“Save it for the station,” the captain cut him off coldly.

Xiao Wange walked over to the rat demon, grabbed the end of the rope, and dragged him toward the captain.

The captain looked at the demon and hesitated.
“Comrade, this person—”

“Old Comrade Wei has already explained it clearly,” Xiao Wange said calmly.
“This person is a rat demon—a genuine demon with over a thousand years of cultivation. He’s docile now only because my rope is restraining him. Without it, he could probably overturn your entire police station.”

The captain fell silent.

He didn’t believe the man was a demon—at most, a particularly brutal serial killer.

Seeing this, Xiao Wange smiled faintly.
“You don’t believe me? Then I’ll let you see his true form.”

She formed a hand seal and struck the rat demon with a pale yellow light.

The demon’s body began to change.

Within five seconds, the tall human figure transformed into a gigantic rat—so huge it was nearly as tall as a door.

The police stared in stunned silence.

“Th-this… this is some kind of illusion, right?” the captain finally stammered.

“Illusions are spells,” Xiao Wange replied calmly.
“If spells exist, then demons naturally exist too.”

The captain was left speechless.

After seeing the demon’s lair, the police were finally convinced.

Xiao Wange then said coldly,
“I’ll hand this rat demon over to you. To prevent him from escaping, I’ll destroy his inner core. Without it, he won’t pose a threat.”

The rat demon trembled violently.
“You’re going back on your word! You promised not to destroy my inner core!”

“I never promised you anything,” Xiao Wange scoffed.
“You’ve taken so many innocent lives. Destroying your inner core is already merciful. By the laws of heaven, you should have been annihilated entirely.”

She raised her golden sword toward his chest.

“Stop! If you don’t destroy my core, I’ll tell you another secret about that great figure!” the rat demon screamed desperately.

Xiao Wange narrowed her eyes.
“You still have secrets?”

The rat demon gritted his teeth.
“You think I would tell you everything? If you want to know more, let me go. Otherwise, you’ll never learn the truth!”

Xiao Wange let out a cold laugh, pointed the sword at his chest, and said disdainfully,
“Threaten me? You really think I’d be afraid?”
