“White Platinum Arowana!”

Mu Bai looked at the White Platinum Arowana and couldn’t help but feel a surge of joy. He hadn’t expected such good luck—just a casual attempt had resulted in success.

This White Platinum Arowana was about 85 centimeters long, with silken, snow-white scales that exuded an air of regal elegance. Mu Bai knew that this fish could easily fetch a price of over 15 million yuan.

However, after some thought, he decided not to sell the White Platinum Arowana right away. It was too rare, and Mu Bai preferred to keep it for a while and only sell it when the right time came.

He stored the White Platinum Arowana in the magical warehouse. Once everything was settled, Mu Bai left the magical space with a mere thought.

He picked up his phone and noticed it was already past midnight. Sleepiness began to creep in as he yawned, took off his clothes, and drifted into a deep sleep.

The night passed without incident, and soon it was morning.

At 8:30 a.m., the sun was rising in the east, casting warm rays over the city of Nanjing, bringing a touch of rare warmth to the early winter.

Mu Bai had already gotten up. After washing up, he picked up his phone and began researching how to open an online store on Taobao.

He quickly realized that the process wasn’t difficult. No business license was needed, only personal identification and photos.

“Dear, just upload your personal photo and ID, and I’ll help you apply. The process is quick, don’t worry!” replied a friendly Taobao customer service representative.

“Alright, I’ll send them over shortly,” Mu Bai responded without hesitation. About seven or eight minutes later, he sent the required photos to the Taobao representative and then waited for the approval process to begin.

While waiting for his online store to be approved, Mu Bai recalled that the cultivation and breeding spaces in the magical realm were currently vacant. He decided to plant some rare flowers and plants again.

He searched for rare plants on Taobao but found that the most expensive ones were capped at tens of thousands of yuan, mostly sandalwood trees that took a long time to cultivate. After browsing for a bit, Mu Bai gave up on buying plants from Taobao.

Next, he turned his attention to a plant and bonsai trading forum in Nanjing, the same forum where he had previously uploaded photos of his cactus.

This forum was a paradise for plant and bonsai enthusiasts in Nanjing. It boasted over 100,000 active members daily and had a following of more than 2 million.

Aside from its large user base, the forum was known for showcasing top-tier, premium, near-priceless, and even rare plants.

Upon logging in, Mu Bai noticed several private messages. When he opened them, he realized they were from people inquiring about the cactus he had posted about days earlier.

This reminded Mu Bai that the cactus had already been sold, but he had forgotten to delete the post. After closing the messages, he promptly deleted the cactus sale post.

With that taken care of, Mu Bai began browsing the forum for the rare plants he needed.

“Sales post! Top-tier Golden Queen, 180,000 yuan, with photos attached. Serious buyers, please PM for details.”

“Three-leaf Tiger Grass, almost a premium plant, price: 200,000 yuan. Contact: 152******* for further discussion.”

“Purple Kalanchoe, grade unknown. Photos provided for your assessment. Fixed price: 150,000 yuan, no bargaining.”

“Turtle-Back Vine, PM for details. Photos provided, can inspect the plant before negotiating a price.”

Mu Bai scanned various sales posts and contacted a few sellers for promising plants.

Among them were a Red Golden Queen seedling, a Four-leaf Tiger Grass seedling, and a Purple Peony seedling.

Mu Bai specifically chose seedlings because buying fully-grown rare plants wouldn’t bring as much profit, even with secondary cultivation in the magical space. Seedlings, however, promised much higher returns.

With the magical space at his disposal, Mu Bai had almost zero risk when it came to cultivating precious seedlings.

Half an hour later, all three sellers had replied. After some price negotiations, Mu Bai purchased the three seedlings for a total of 300,000 yuan.

These transactions were all done within the forum. While Mu Bai might not trust forums with millions-worth deals, he was comfortable with transactions of tens of thousands.

After all, this plant and bonsai forum was the largest in Nanjing, and even in the entire Jiangsu province. It wouldn’t risk its reputation over small-scale fraud.

Moreover, once a sales post entered the transaction stage, it would be jointly monitored by the forum’s leader and several moderators, minimizing the chances of issues arising.

Although there had been incidents in the past, whenever problems occurred, the forum’s leader would compensate the buyer first before investigating the matter. This approach had earned the trust of many forum members.

“Everything’s set. Go ahead and make the purchase. Once you’ve placed the order, don’t forget to provide your address. I’ll ship it right away, and I’ll send you the tracking number privately,” messaged the seller of the Red Golden Queen seedling.

Mu Bai responded with a brief confirmation and then entered the sales post to double-check the photos and details. After verifying that everything was correct, he completed the purchase.

Over the next half hour, Mu Bai bought all three seedlings. After a brief chat with each seller to ensure prompt shipping, he logged off the forum.

Time passed quickly, and soon it was noon.

As usual, Mu Bai boiled some water and made a cup of instant noodles.

Under the dim light of his desk lamp, he ate while scrolling through his phone and logging into QQ.

There wasn’t much activity in his QQ messages, so Mu Bai browsed his friends’ statuses. Among them was a selfie posted by Qian Yiwen, who had tagged Mu Bai’s QQ account, sparking gossip among her fans.

“Who did Qian Yiwen just tag? Is that her boyfriend? So sad.”

“Oh my god, has our author found true love? Congrats! Throwing confetti!”

“Author, don’t focus so much on romance that you forget to update! You’re only posting once a day, and this baby’s getting a bit upset.”

“Yiwen, who is this? Tell us, is he from Nanjing University?”

Mu Bai glanced at these comments and saw that Qian Yiwen had not responded to the gossip. Since she didn’t clarify, Mu Bai naturally had no intention of doing so either. After skimming through it, he continued scrolling.

Soon, he came across Zhang Tiantian’s update about winning first place in the charity project competition, where she expressed gratitude to many people.

Zhang Tiantian had tagged all her friends: “Thank you to everyone who helped me vote, and a huge thank you to the anonymous person who donated 100,000 yuan. We, the girls of dorm 312, will always remember your kindness.”

Zhang Tiantian was a kind person, so she had many friends, and naturally, the post garnered many comments.

“Congratulations, Tiantian, for winning first place!”

“Oh my gosh, that anonymous donation of 100,000 yuan last night was mind-blowing!”

“Same here! I thought I was seeing things when I saw those ten heart donations. I refreshed several times to make sure it was real!”

“Haha, same, same!”

“Throwing confetti! Tiantian, you worked hard. You’re the best!”

“Your dorm rocks!”

Mu Bai read through Zhang Tiantian’s post and casually gave it a like. He continued browsing his friends’ statuses, but just as he was about to log off, a particular update caught his attention.
