“Stubborn little thing.”
Bai Zheng’s resistance made Bai Zheng very displeased. The man unfastened his suit buttons and fired a shot at Shen Guiling’s right leg.
The bullet pierced flesh. Blood splattered everywhere, staining the white bedsheets red.
Just as Jiang Huashan had one foot out of the door, she suddenly heard a gunshot behind her. Her blood seemed to ignite in an instant.
At that moment, Bai Zheng’s attention was completely locked onto Shen Guiling. The man beneath him was soaked in a large pool of blood. Even though he was already extremely weak, those eyes still shone like pearls washed clean of dust—bright and striking.
Interesting. He looks even more like it like this!
Desire in Bai Zheng’s eyes intensified. Ignoring the injury on Shen Guiling’s leg, he pressed down on it and, in high spirits, tore at his shirt.
Jiang Huashan tightly gripped the door handle, her fingertips turning white.
Riiip—
The sound of fabric tearing was like thunder in her ears.
“A boy alone outside is very dangerous—especially someone like you, a social butterfly. Take me with you, and I can protect you.”
That old promise still echoed in her ears. Jiang Huashan closed her eyes and slowly loosened her grip on the door.
Bai Zheng, fully immersed in the joy of having what he thought he’d lost, impatiently removed his outer coat. Just as he was about to take off the shirt underneath, he sensed someone quietly approaching.
Without even turning his head, he lazily raised his gun and aimed it at the newcomer’s forehead.
“Trying to ambush me? If I were you, I would’ve seized that perfect opportunity just now. What a pity—the kid risked his life to open you an escape door, and now it’s about to close.”
Originally, Bai Zheng had planned to turn a blind eye. After all, this little thing wouldn’t survive long even if she escaped. But unexpectedly, she was stupid enough to walk straight into his gun.
Darkness flickered in Bai Zheng’s eyes as he was about to pull the trigger—when Jiang Huashan suddenly grabbed the gun pointed at her forehead, looking on the verge of tears.
“No, no, you misunderstood! I’m not here to ambush you—I’m here to join you.”
“……”
Bai Zheng, born into privilege, had seen all kinds of people in his life, but someone like Jiang Huashan was a first. She constantly defied his expectations; otherwise, he wouldn’t have decided on a whim to capture her in the first place.
The man looked at the girl before him, her gaze unfocused and hazy. The cold barrel of the gun slid down from her forehead and pressed under her chin.
“What did you just say?”
Jiang Huashan carefully climbed onto the bed, looking pitiful.
“My grandpa taught me this… if you can’t beat them, you join them. I don’t know what’s happening to me… I just can’t control myself, I want… I want…”
She turned her head to look at Shen Guiling, who was lying in the pool of blood.
“I want him.”
The light in Shen Guiling’s eyes suddenly froze. He stared at Jiang Huashan without blinking.
Bai Zheng’s expression turned strange as his gaze shifted between the two.
Jiang Huashan immediately turned back and grabbed the man’s clothes.
“Uncle, my grandpa dotes on me the most. It doesn’t matter if he dies, but I can’t die. If anything happens to me, my grandpa will never let you go.”
Her breathing was rapid, her voice carrying a faint hint of manic confusion.
Even through the fabric, Bai Zheng could feel how hot her hand was. The drug wasn’t something commonly found on the market—at the dosage he had formulated, even the most virtuous woman would be reduced to depravity.
So Jiang Huashan’s current state didn’t surprise him.
“No, no! I really can’t take it anymore. How about I go first?”
She was walking the path of a pervert to leave the pervert with no way out.
Jiang Huashan looked impatient, as if she was about to pounce.
“What do you mean, you go first?” Bai Zheng hadn’t expected the other “pet” to be this kind of character. He grabbed her. “Wait!”
Jiang Huashan winced in pain.
“Then… you go first?”
“……” Bai Zheng’s brow twitched slightly as he studied Jiang Huashan without a trace of expression.
“This also won’t work?” Jiang Huashan grew increasingly agitated. “Then… all of us together? Please, I really can’t take it anymore. That woman gave me two injections—I feel like I’m burning up.”
Bai Zheng turned to look at Shen Guiling, a hint of relief in his eyes. So that’s why this little wolf cub is still so clear-headed.
So An Ti that guy had been talking about defecting all day long, yet the drugs she used were this unreliable.
Bai Zheng holstered his gun and looked at Jiang Huashan with a distant gaze. “Who stole the data in my computer?”
“Him!” Jiang Huashan pointed at Shen Guiling without hesitation. “It was him, nothing to do with me. He stole a string of random code—even I was on guard against him. Anyway, can we stop talking? Just… do it already!”
“I know why you caught us,” she continued, “but I’m telling you—if anything happens to me, my grandfather will never let this go. You’re only doing this for fun anyway. Why risk your life and future over it?”
A trace of thought appeared in Bai Zheng’s eyes.
He had originally planned to quietly smuggle the two of them back to S Country and deal with them there. He hadn’t expected to be exposed before even leaving the sea. He had intended to have his fun first, then kill them to silence them.
But this substitute in front of him was so perfect that he was starting to feel a little reluctant.
Jiang Huashan noticed Bai Zheng’s hesitation and immediately pressed her advantage.
“My grandfather only cares about me. He won’t care about a bastard’s life or death. As long as you let me go, you can take Shen Guiling with you.”
Bai Zheng: “Who among you has a tracker?”
“I do.” Jiang Huashan pulled down her shoulder strap, already half-conscious, and pointed at the injection marks. “My grandfather was worried something might happen to me, so he implanted a tracking device in me when I was very young. I’m the only one in the entire Shen family who has it.”
Bai Zheng looked at the injection marks on her arm, his eyes turning slightly playful. “How do I know you’re telling the truth?”
Jiang Huashan said, “Didn’t I already say I’d go first? Please, I feel like I’m about to explode. Incest between siblings would be a family scandal. After tonight, even if you want him alive, I won’t let him return to the Shen family. My grandfather dotes on me—I absolutely cannot let him know what I’ve done. And don’t you like him? With my help, my grandfather definitely won’t suspect you.”
Bai Zheng considered for a moment, then put away his gun. To him, the weapon was nothing more than a tool for intimidation. If Jiang Huashan really tried anything, he could snap her neck with one hand.
The man licked his lips and released her wrist. “In that case… then we’ll all do it together.”
Jiang Huashan looked like she had been granted amnesty and threw herself toward Shen Guiling.
For real?!
Shen Guiling’s rationality collapsed with a bang as he suddenly opened his eyes to look at her.
Jiang Huashan stroked his face. “Don’t blame me. Every man for himself.”
With that, she lowered her head to kiss him.
Shen Guiling froze, then instinctively turned his head away. Jiang Huashan let out a breathy gasp, pulled out the hairpin from her head, and her long black hair cascaded down like a waterfall.
“No dodging. If you dodge again, I won’t be gentle.”
She forced his face back again. Just as the kiss was about to land, she loosened her grip—he turned his head again, and the kiss missed once more.
She buried her face against his shoulder blade. With her hair covering them, from Bai Zheng’s angle it indeed looked like something was happening.
The man watched the two of them entangled on the bed while leisurely unbuttoning his own clothes.
Shen Guiling closed his eyes, the hand gripping the fruit knife bulging with veins as he struggled to maintain control.
At that moment, a pair of pale, snake-like arms wrapped around his arm. He opened his eyes—his wet, reddened gaze was terrifying.
That hand slid into his palm like a boneless serpent, delicate fingertips slowly threading through his fingers.
“Don’t resist me,” she whispered in a seductive, bewitching voice.
Shen Guiling’s body stiffened.
The knife slipped in his grip.
