After everyone else had left, Xiao Luo looked around to make sure no one was nearby before saying to Jin Luoluo,
“Luoluo, shall we take a walk in the garden?”
Jin Luoluo shot him a sidelong glance. →_→
“Your Highness, there’s too much of a generation gap between us. We have nothing to talk about.”
Hmph. Trying to have the best of both worlds? Dream on, you cripple.
Instead, Xiao Luo smiled. ^_^
“Luoluo… you’re angry.”
She looked especially adorable when she was angry.
Her eyes were more animated than ever, her lips pouted slightly, and her cheeks puffed up.
It made him want to kiss her fiercely.
“Yes, I am. Your face is so annoying that seeing it makes people dislike you. Stop wandering around in front of me, or I’ll swat you away like a fly.”
“You wouldn’t be able to bear it,” Xiao Luo said with absolute certainty.
“Who says I wouldn’t? I love making your life miserable. Just you wait!”
Grinding her teeth, Jin Luoluo grabbed the handles of his wheelchair and pushed him this way and that.
“Luoluo, where are we going?” Xiao Luo asked after she had made several random turns. “I don’t think this is a good idea.”
“You’ll find out when we get there.”
Jin Luoluo kept turning through one corridor after another until she reached a deserted palace where no one ever seemed to pass by.
She pushed Xiao Luo inside the empty hall.
Then she dashed outside, slammed the doors shut, and wedged a thick wooden beam through the door handles to lock them from the outside.
Hmph.
Let’s see how you get out now.
“Luoluo… you’re not actually planning to lock me in here, are you?”
Xiao Luo’s voice was filled with curiosity rather than panic.
Jin Luoluo finally felt a little vindicated.
“Hmph! This time you’re done for, you cripple! Nobody ever comes here. You can scream your lungs out, and no one will come rescue you. You can just fend for yourself. I’m leaving!”
The more she thought about it, the less satisfied she became.
This punishment was far too lenient.
Someone as clever as Xiao Luo would probably find a way to escape before long.
She lifted her foot and kicked the door with a loud bang.
“That’s for bullying me, you stupid cripple! I hate you!”
Just when her heart had begun to awaken to love…
He had crushed it in an instant.
Not even a tiny sprout had been left behind.
She had never suffered such humiliation in her entire life.
Her life had always been smooth and glorious.
Whenever she wanted something, she got it.
Her career was successful.
Her family was happy.
She had even run circles around princes and nobles, making fools of them all.
What a carefree and triumphant life it had been.
But ever since she met Xiao Luo…
She had never once managed to gain the upper hand against him.
Instead…
She had suffered her first defeat in love.
