He could even guess the little calculations in her heart. It seemed this great deity had decided to cling to her for good.
And she had not even seen his true face yet—the difference between them was immediately obvious.
“Fine, I get it, you scheming devil. Consider it my bad luck for boarding the wrong pirate ship,” Jin Luoluo said. Still, she had an instinct that he meant no harm, so she did not care too much.
She removed the warm jade bead bracelet from her wrist and cut off a lock of her hair.
Then she suddenly thought of something. “This string of warm jade beads is extremely valuable, so it’s not strange that you want it. But why do you want my hair? Don’t tell me you’re planning to make a voodoo doll behind my back and curse me.”
She could hardly be blamed for overthinking. In ancient times, things like witchcraft and curses often required a person’s hair or other personal belongings in order to cast a spell.
Why else would this man want her hair for no reason?
Although she did not believe in such superstitious nonsense, being secretly plotted against was still an unpleasant thought.
Xiao Luo sighed helplessly. “Miss Jin, you are a woman, aren’t you? Why can’t your thoughts be a little more romantic? If I truly wanted to harm someone, I have hundreds of methods. In less than a quarter of an hour, you would be dead by my hand. Would I really need something as boring and troublesome as making a voodoo doll?”
Jin Luoluo thought to herself: What an arrogant man. The way he talks about killing people so casually, as if it were easier than eating lettuce. This man is definitely bad news.
Why did she always end up attracting these kinds of dangerous men? Tragic~~
Jin Luoluo rolled her eyes. “You really have no shame, bragging about yourself like some godlike figure, talking as if you’re some soul-reaping messenger who can kill whoever he wants. Why don’t you just go start an assassin organization? Since you’re not using my hair for dark magic, then what is it for? Don’t tell me you have some hobby of collecting women’s hair.”
Jin Luoluo imagined him opening a box and placing her hair into a pile of other women’s hair, and the thought gave her chills.
Xiao Luo replied just as calmly, “No, I have no hobby of collecting women’s hair. I only enjoy collecting skulls. So far I have collected three hundred and sixty-four. I’m still one short of making a full year’s number.”
“You actually collect skulls?” Jin Luoluo was utterly shocked.
“Heh, did I scare you? My apologies. I shouldn’t say such horrifying things to a young lady. But don’t worry—they are only bones. The dead will never be as frightening as the living.”
