HLM -Chapter 1361 An Outstanding Little Boss

Happy Little Mayor 5 min read 1361 of 1443 17

When Wang Bo first met Dale, she was just a little girl, crying because Charlie had broken her airplane. That was his first impression, and it stayed with him to this day. He always noticed Dale’s adorable, mischievous charm.

But today, when he assigned her to take charge of a task, he realized this child had grown up—she had become a truly capable young lady.

After arranging everything in an orderly manner, Wang Bo drove ahead while Dale gave directions: “Go to Grandpa Daitian’s auto repair shop.”

“Grandpa Daitian’s shop washes cars too. Drivers there might not choose us,” Reola reminded her.

The little girl shook her head: “As long as our prices are lower, someone will always want to save money. Besides, some people don’t want to wait in line.”

“What if they come out to chase us away?”

Dale smiled disdainfully: “Unless he wants to quit, who dares drive away the mayor’s car wash? That’s called exercising authority!”

Wang Bo secretly gave her a thumbs-up. This girl was remarkable—if she entered politics, her brains combined with her understanding of people would definitely make her successful.

Grandpa Daitian’s shop was one of the two largest auto repair shops in Sunset Town. Being the biggest transfer point on Highway 8, it had heavy traffic, making both repair and car wash businesses thrive.

The weather was hot. Cars were lined up on the road, and drivers gathered in the shade, sipping cold drinks.

When the water truck arrived, Dale and Anliya held hands and ran over, showing innocent expressions: “Uncle, brother, whose cars are these?”

With their big watery eyes, delicate features, flawless skin, and bouncing pigtails, plus pure expressions, a group of burly men felt their hearts melt.

“Oh, you’re Dale? That car belongs to me,” said a middle-aged man in a Nike sweatshirt.

The little girl nodded vigorously and asked, “Uncle, you have a well-behaved daughter, right? She must be very cute.”

The man laughed: “Yes, how did you guess? She’s about your age. But she’s not very obedient—she insisted on going to the Christmas amusement park with her mom.”

Dale said, “I guessed it. Look, there’s a Barbie sticker on the car—that’s the work of a well-behaved girl.”

The man laughed even more heartily.

Dale asked, “Uncle, are you waiting to get your car washed?”

“Yes, my car is covered in dust. I want it to look nice.”

“Then let us help you! Our school organized a student labor activity, so we decided to wash cars for everyone. It’s cheaper—only five yuan!” Dale said sweetly.

The man chuckled: “Can you manage? My SUV is really big.”

Dale nodded confidently: “Of course! If your daughter were here, she would trust us. She’s done this kind of activity before, and we can do just as well as her.”

After a few words, the man was thoroughly charmed and decisively drove forward.

Wang Bo greeted him: “Don’t worry, sir. We’ll make your car spotless.”

“With a guardian present, I feel even more at ease,” the man said.

Dale waved, and Ron brought over the water gun nozzle. Once the valve was opened, the compressor started, making the hose shake violently.

When the compressor sprayed water, it had tremendous force—even adults had to hold it tightly, let alone the children.

Ron couldn’t hold the nozzle, and Wang Bo quickly turned off the compressor: “Let me do it.”

Dale shook her head stubbornly: “No, this is my activity. Manager Wang, go back and bring Little Wang and the others over—hurry!”

Wang Bo shrugged and called Eva. She drove over and brought the group of kids, asking, “What’s going on? You even need a mascot?”

Dale dragged Little Wang to the hose and put it in his mouth: “Be good, hold it in, don’t let it fall, and don’t bite it. Understand?”

Little Wang blinked. Um… not really.

The compressor started again, shaking the hose.

This time, Little Wang understood—hold the hose tight so it stops shaking.

Dale placed her hand over his mouth, helping him control the bite force.

A liger’s teeth aren’t sharp; it has strong bite strength. So as long as it held the hose, it wouldn’t break it.

Once the bite force was just right to hold the hose, Dale clapped happily: “Alright, Ron, go to work!”

With support in place, the nozzle steadied. Ron pressed the switch, and a powerful stream of water sprayed onto the car, quickly washing away the dust.

Dale and Anliya continued attracting clients, while Reola led a few others inside the cars to clean.

The middle-aged driver admired Dale: “This child is outstanding. How do you educate her?”

“Well… we respect her thoughts and protect her heart,” Wang Bo said awkwardly. Teaching children wasn’t his strong suit.

But Eva was good at this. She chatted with the driver, learned he had a mischievous daughter, listened to his stories, and then gave analysis and guidance.

Wang Bo guided Reola and the others—they didn’t know how to clean car interiors, so he taught them hands-on.

These kids were quick learners; after two demonstrations, they almost mastered it. They cleaned inside the cars under the hot sun, soon drenched in sweat, their clothes practically dripping.

After the car was washed, Wang Bo noticed some stubborn spots. He tried to wipe them off but struggled—then he remembered what Kidd had said about insect droppings.

The owner didn’t mind the minor blemishes. When leaving, he gave ten yuan—five for the wash, five as a tip.

Dale handed the money to Wang Bo: “Here’s our first earnings! But we won’t be stingy. Manager Wang, buy each of the kids a drink. I want a lemon soda ice drink.”

“I want iced orange juice, lots of ice!”

“I want lemon probiotic drink, also iced.”

“I’ll have iced coffee. My dad says adults drink coffee, not soda.”

Wang Bo looked at the ten yuan in his hand: “Team, this isn’t enough.”

Dale patted his shoulder: “You can do it. Believe in yourself—you can make miracles happen.”

Eva chuckled quietly on the side.

Wang Bo resignedly said: “Alright, as their manager who hasn’t been paid yet, I’ll treat everyone to a drink first.”

“Come on, everyone, keep working. Bring the next car over. Once this one’s done, we can enjoy cold drinks!” Dale said.

“Yeah, great!” the kids cheered, grinning foolishly.
