“Brother Guang, do me a favor!” Qian Yu found Guang and handed him a cigarette.

“Hmm, tell me.” Guang took it and lit it.

“I ran into a little punk who has a grudge against me. Can you find a couple of people to beat him up?”

Guang rubbed his bald head, feeling extremely annoyed inside. What era is this? People are still playing these tricks? Wouldn’t it be better to just honestly make some money?

“Who is it? What kind of grudge do you have? Is it really worth beating someone over?” Guang asked.

Qian Yu looked around and spotted Lin Hao’s table not far from the speakers. He pointed at them.

“It’s those two brats! How much do you want? I’ll pay!”

It would have been fine if he hadn’t mentioned money, but the moment money was brought up, Guang’s expression changed.

Originally, he had introduced them here thinking he could make some money from the arrangement for a long time. Unexpectedly, Third Brother was still not satisfied.

He casually replied, “Alright, wait until they leave. We’ll deal with them on the way. We can’t exactly make a move right now, can we?”

Seeing that Guang’s expression looked unpleasant, Qian Yu didn’t dare push any further. Then, thinking about whose bar this was, he stopped talking, nodded, turned around, and quickly went back on stage.

After just two songs of the second half, Lin Hao wanted to leave.

Because Qian Yu kept glancing at him from the stage, making him feel extremely uncomfortable. He couldn’t be bothered to deal with someone like this.

Before he could even stand up, a woman’s voice suddenly rang out.

“It’s you?”

Lin Hao turned his head and looked over. The woman in front of him seemed somewhat familiar. After thinking for a moment, he suddenly realized.

Wasn’t this the TV host, Chu Yu?

He quickly stood up and smiled.

“What a coincidence!”

Chu Yu smiled brightly.

“Yeah! Why are you sitting here…”

Just as she finished speaking, the band started playing. Their seats were too close to the speakers, and Lin Hao couldn’t hear another word.

Chu Yu gestured for him to sit down, then turned and left.

Not long after, a waiter brought over six small bottles of beer and a fruit platter.

Lin Hao and Wu Xiaozhou were both puzzled and quickly asked the waiter who had sent them.

The waiter leaned close to Lin Hao’s ear and shouted:

“Our boss sent them!”

After saying that, he turned around and pointed into the distance.

The two of them looked over and saw Chu Yu standing with a man. When she noticed them looking over, Chu Yu even smiled and waved.

Lin Hao knew the drinks were from Chu Yu, so he picked up a bottle and raised it in thanks.

He was a little confused, though. He wasn’t sure whether Chu Yu was the owner or whether the man beside her, who looked extraordinary, was the boss.

But since someone had sent them drinks, it wouldn’t be polite to leave immediately. So he helplessly raised his bottle and clinked it with Wu Xiaozhou’s.

On stage, the female singer jumped around energetically while singing a very cheerful song.

After finishing the beer in his bottle, Wu Xiaozhou didn’t put it down. He just kept holding it in his hand.

He stared fixedly at Qian Yu. The more he looked, the angrier he became.

This long-haired guy on stage was acting sneaky, constantly glancing at Lin Hao from time to time. The look in his eyes was vicious.

As soon as the song ended, Wu Xiaozhou finally couldn’t hold back anymore. He raised his hand and threw the empty beer bottle in his hand toward the stage.

“Bang!”

The bottle hit Qian Yu right on the forehead. Blood immediately started flowing.

Clink, clatter—

The bottle fell onto the stage but didn’t break.

The entire venue instantly fell silent. Everyone turned to look.

Then everyone saw Wu Xiaozhou stand up and point at Qian Yu on stage.

“F*** your mother, what are you looking at?”

Qian Yu was stunned by the bottle strike. Covering his head, he was dizzy for a moment.

The bald man Qian Yu had called Brother Guang quickly ran over, followed by two burly young men.

Lin Hao was also stunned by Wu Xiaozhou’s bottle throw.

He hadn’t expected this guy not to discuss it with him at all and just act on his temper.

After all, Chu Yu had just sent them beer and a fruit platter. Even if he was unhappy with Qian Yu on stage, he shouldn’t have made a move at this moment.

Brother Guang glared fiercely at Wu Xiaozhou, completely ignoring Lin Hao beside him. Just as he was about to rush forward, Lin Hao’s right hand suddenly grabbed the back of his neck, while his left hand twisted Guang’s left arm around.

In his previous life, besides music, Lin Hao’s biggest hobby had been mixed martial arts.

It was just that his skill level was average, limited to the level of keeping fit.

That was after he moved to Yanjing. He had just passed thirty, but years of staying up late and performing in night venues had caused his health to steadily decline.

So, following a friend’s suggestion, he signed up at a martial arts gym near his home. Every day after practicing until he was tired, he would go learn for two hours.

Because of this, he also made many like-minded friends.

After all, it was only an amateur hobby, so he couldn’t be considered an expert.

However, dealing with one or two street thugs wasn’t enough to make him run away.

Although his current body was somewhat weaker, he hadn’t forgotten the movements.

“Pa!”

With a crisp sound, Wu Xiaozhou grabbed a beer bottle and smashed it against the table. Then he swung his hand up and pressed it against Brother Guang’s neck. The jagged edge of the broken bottle reflected the colorful lights inside the bar.

“Let go of me!” Brother Guang glanced downward at the broken bottle with his eyelids lowered, then shouted fiercely, “Do you know where this is? Do you damn well know who you are?”

Lin Hao didn’t say anything. He simply increased the strength in his hand, keeping Brother Guang pinned down.

The two guys behind Brother Guang were eager to make a move, and a full-blown brawl was about to break out.

In the corner of the bar, two men—one tall and one short, both with gloomy expressions—stood up. The man beside Chu Yu slightly shook his head at them, and the two sat back down in their chairs.

“Damn it!” Wu Xiaozhou spat on the ground. “Who cares where this is! This bastard keeps looking down on us like we’re nothing!”

On the stage, Qian Yu had also recovered. It seemed that the hit from the beer bottle hadn’t been too serious.

“Fuck your mother! You little brat, you dare hit me?”

Wu Xiaozhou gave a mocking laugh and was just about to curse again when a deep male voice came from nearby.

“Shut up!”

Everyone turned to look. They saw Chu Yu and that man walking over.

Seeing that Chu Yu seemed to have an unusual relationship with this man, and since they were in someone else’s bar, Lin Hao felt there shouldn’t be any problem. He gave Wu Xiaozhou a look.

Wu Xiaozhou slowly withdrew the beer bottle and casually threw it onto the table, making another “pa” sound.

Lin Hao released his grip. Brother Guang shot him a resentful glance, then bowed slightly with the two men behind him and called out to the man, “Third Brother.”

“You two have a grudge?” The man’s voice wasn’t loud. It was as if he had seen this kind of thing countless times before, and his eyes looked indifferent.

The male singer brought over some tissues and handed them to Qian Yu.

Wu Xiaozhou pointed toward Qian Yu on the stage and said, “This guy kept glaring at us with a bad attitude while he was up there.”

When the man heard Wu Xiaozhou speak, he looked at him. Then his pupils suddenly contracted, and he stared blankly for a moment.

Chu Yu gently tugged at his arm, and only then did he come back to his senses. He gave Wu Xiaozhou another deep look.

That look made Wu Xiaozhou feel completely confused.

Lin Hao smiled and said, “I’m really sorry. My friend has a bit of a bad temper. I apologize to the owner. If there was any damage, I’ll pay for it.”

The man looked at him, the corner of his mouth lifting slightly.

“You can sing?”

Lin Hao was stunned. He didn’t understand why the man suddenly asked that. How had the topic jumped from fighting to singing? Still, he nodded.

“Good. Then go up and sing a song. Consider it an apology to me. How about it?”

“Does he even know how to sing?” Qian Yu, covering his head with a thick stack of tissues, started shouting loudly.

The man didn’t even glance at Qian Yu. He simply looked calmly at Lin Hao.

Lin Hao looked at Chu Yu behind the man and understood.

Chu Yu must have said something, which was why this person wanted him to sing.

It seemed that he was the real owner of this bar.

Although this man looked refined and elegant on the outside, he was like a knife hidden inside its sheath. Lin Hao could even faintly sense a trace of bloodshed around him.

Lin Hao helplessly nodded. Regardless of the reason, Wu Xiaozhou was the one who had made the first move, and they were on someone else’s territory.

They had originally just wanted to relax and come out to watch a band perform. Who would’ve thought that Wu Xiaozhou would still end up causing trouble?

He turned and walked toward the stage.

Behind him, Qian Yu continued shouting, “I’m not going to accompany you!”

Lin Hao laughed as he walked and said, “I really don’t need you to accompany me.”

“Why?”

Qian Yu hadn’t expected this kid to actually dare to come up. Could it be that he really knew how to sing?

Lin Hao sighed.

“Because your skill is too poor!”

“Boom—”

The guests below burst into laughter.

Qian Yu covered his forehead, his face turning as red as a purple eggplant.

Lin Hao ignored him and picked up the microphone.

“Next, please let our band come off stage and take a rest.”

“Oh, right. That brother whose head is bleeding—turn left when you leave the door. There’s a clinic not far away. Make sure you get it properly bandaged. If you get tetanus, it can easily kill you.”

After Lin Hao finished speaking, another wave of laughter erupted in the bar.

The band members came off the stage one after another. Qian Yu covered his forehead and glared viciously at Lin Hao.
